Blue Pits Housing Action is a local charity in Rochdale. Since 2011 we've provided homes and support for adults living with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and other complex needs across Rochdale, Heywood and Middleton. We're registered with the CQC and are a provider of social housing. Many of the people we support have been let down or turned away by other services. Some have spent years in hospital or secure settings, some have left care, and some are dealing with addiction alongside their mental health. We don't give up on people. We take the time to get to know each tenant, and their family where they'd like that, and agree together what support they need. Our aim is to help people live safely and happily in their own homes, make their own choices, and be part of their local community. We also run a free activity group that anyone can come along to. People join in with cooking, gardening, arts and crafts, computers, exercise and days out bowling. It's a chance to learn something new, meet others and have a good time.
