Blu Fish were able to adjust their work…

Blu Fish were able to adjust their work schedule so that they could work in conjunction with roofers who were refelting and tiling a roof (the flue for the boiler had to go up through the roof tiles).
The team who fitted the boiler were extremely polite and courteous, very methodical in disconnecting and removing the boiler (to the point they used a wet and dry vacuum cleaner to remove excess water from the pipework and boiler).
Once the new boiler was installed and commissioned, the team cleaned up after themselves to the point that they vacuumed their route from front door the the boiler position.
In all my years of working in customers houses have i ever seen attention to detail like this.
The team are a an excellent advert for the company.

Amazing prompt and personal service

We have used Blu-fish for years for heating and electrics. They just saved us a large boiler repair bill by going the extra mile and suggesting we double check if our warranty covers it. And it does (thanks Vaillant too!) Thanks Tim and all the team at Blu-fish.

Water Pouring Through Ceiling - Fixed By Blu Fish

We woke to water pouring through our kitchen ceiling, having turned the water off, we contacted Mark at BLu Fish.
Nothing was too much trouble!
Within a hr we had two staff on site, problem diagnosed and fixed, luckily without the ceiling falling down ! I cant praise this company enough!

We are unhappy with the service this…

We are unhappy with the service this company provides. They don't reply for weeks and it seems that they replaced the wrong two way valve.
We contacted Blu-Fish a year ago around December 2021 due to radiators heating from the hot water when the heating is off. They came in and advised that the heating two way valve needs replacing. Eight months later the radiators started heating up in August when the heating was off, the same issue. We called them in late August to arrange a visit and had to chase them several times, at last they came in on 26 October for 2 minutes and said that the two wave valve for the hot water needs changing, not the one that they already replaced.

Good morning,

Following our recent visit to the property we have found that the 2 port valve is faulty and requires replacement (this is the hot water zone valve, not the heating one we replaced recently)

We will need to drain down the system in order to replace this valve,.

Our costs to return is as follows

Labour - £120.00 + vat
Materials - £85.00 + vat

with our costs to date of £55.00 + vat

This is the reply we received from Tim Newman.

We emailed them back to query why they changed the wrong part at the first visit eight months ago and we haven't heard back. The issue remains unresolved and we have to pay again for their error.

Blu-fish are a landlord and letting…

Blu-fish are a landlord and letting agent maintenance company. Our Managing Agent called them out for us for a repair of a shower and oven. They provided an estimate for the work and a call out charge for providing the estimate. We wanted to go ahead and expected the charge for estimating to be credited against the full job, Unfortunately for us Blu-fish refused saying their rules made it clear they needed to get paid for their time. Our Agent did delay in getting everything over to us and liaising properly with Blue-fish but when we spoke to them they were adamant they wanted both payments. Nice work if you can get it; but not from us. We certainly do not pay a tradesman to quote for their work. We simply spoke to another firm in the area and made it clear if they wanted our work we would NOT be paying for an estimate. I would suggest that unless you have loads of money and don't care you avoid Blu-fish and find a nice little firm that will value your custom.
