I’ve placed a few orders with this company in the past and have not had any bad experience at all. I love the fact that most of their dresses have pockets, are a good fit and quite flattering. I’m quite surprised to read all the bad reviews, mainly regarding returns or extra postage tax. So far, so good for me!
BEWARE IMPORT TAX

Have received an invoice from fedex. The shipping address has no indicationits regarding the bloomchic order but the details I have match what I can see.
Near the bottom of the shipping details it basically says you, the customer is responsible for any and all import tax. And no they won't tell you what the rates and terms are for the country the goods are imported from. They also don't tell you where your good are coming from although I beleive China seems to be the main source.
Please please check for yourselves but it appears that anything under £130 doesn't incur additional charges.
If I had known this I would have spilt the order in 2!!
With the addition of the taxes, my bargain not so amazing quality dresses are now the price of clothing could buy in the shop.

Last year I ordered over $200 worth but then got invoiced £77 directly by FedEx despite already paying Bloomchic $17 for delivery. I thought it was a mistake so I queried with BC, no response. Got another FedEx invoice so chased BC and initially they agreed that ‘as a valued customer they would pay’… then didn’t. I got a final letter from FedEx threatening referral to a debt collection agency so I chased BC again urging them to pay before any further action was taken but just received a letter from a debt collection agency for £93 and to pay within 7 days or it’ll increase by another £20!
I searched Bloomchic website and found in their Shipping Info that their delivery costs don’t include import tax / duties..
Also the timings are outright lies: standard delivery is by ship from China so you’ll be waiting easily 6-7 weeks (longer if there’s a problem around Suez Canal) and Express (airfreight) will be 10-14 days to UK.
FedEx won’t respond to my querying it either because they needed my account number.. which I obviously don’t have because I never organised the carriage!
The whole thing has been a super stressful and expensive mess and I’m absolutely disgusted.

Please be warned. I recently ordered from BloomChic for the 3rd time. Spent around £180, paid extra for postage. Was then charged later by FedEx for duties and taxes, I had to pay £89. I emailed BloomChic and after a few emails back and forth, they made it clear I had to pay. I'm very disappointed as I would have remained a good customer but cannot afford these extra costs.

I ordered on 27th June 2023 kept an eye daily on the tracking, after 32 days the tracking which was vert difficult to understand as it never gave locations stated my order had ben delivered. I definitely haven't received and they won't send me the proof of delivery or the signature which they say they have. Blaming the logistics company and offering me a 60% refund! My order is with Bloomchic not the delivery company, disgusting way to treat customers

Impossible returns - no item and now no refund
Please avoid this company. I managed to get a returns label to send back some truly awful items that were poorly made and poorly sized. I sent them back and tracking says they were delivered however I still have not received a refund over a month later and they do not respond to emails or messages. Scam!
Shocking customer service
Firstly after ordering a dress that was in stock at the time my order was delayed apparently due to a warehouse move, then after 4 weeks I was advised that my product was now out of stock and I would need to wait longer at this time I was offered the choice of a refund or if I waited they would send me a gift card for my patience, I waited and the dress finally came, the gift card never did, I've emailed them several times and get fobbed off each time "we'll send this to the right department for it to be sorted straight away" also the dress fell apart on the second time of wearing so really not happy at all as I have very little confidence that if I returned the dress I'd get a refund
Positive first order
Ordered a total of 10 items, ended up keeping 5 and returning 5.
They all arrived in bags and folded as expected.
The quality of the clothes was fair considering the price.
The sizes where a little off, as two dresses fit lovely and others in the same size where tight across the shoulders.
Arranging a return could do with improving as you to email them with the order number, the item description and reason for the return.
(Would be easier if it was an online form on your account)
Customer service replied in less then 24hours, they offered to let me keep the items and a 50%discount, or return for a full refund.
I asked for the refund, they replied fast and I sent an Ervi label, which I took to a Tesco and returned the parcel.
In less then a week they had refunded the money to my PayPal (which seemed very quick)
One thing I would watch going forward is they said free returns on first order, I believe BloomChic ship from China which could lead to more expensive returns.

I ordered 2 dresses, il be honest, one of the dresses was really lovely, fitted true to size and looked really pretty and was good value, I have kept it and felt great wearing it. I can not fault that dress!! I can however, fault EVERYTHING else about my shopping experience. The other dress I ordered was awful. A green, wrinkled potato sack! In fairness both dresses arrived like wrinkled messes!
I repeatedly messaged and emailed the company to organise a return, because there is no other way to do it! Silence for days and days. I eventually got a reply and was offered a 50% refund and to keep the dress but said no thank you. Eventually I got a returns label after terrible communication. I returned the parcel, the tracking info says they have had the return for a week but I’ve had no further communication and no refund. I’m unlikely too I reckon!
The also never stated anywhere there would be Non GB purchase fees and transaction fees, maybe that’s my ignorance I don’t know
But all in all and awful shopping experience even though the one dress was lovely!!
