Order came today within 48 hours of ordering. Great company to deal with. Second to non service.

Ordered on Friday afternoon, delivered Saturday morning by DPD. Well packaged and very smooth transaction. Sure, the lights are expensive for what they are, but you pay for the design and this seller offers the products at a lower price than other sellers, so blame inflated pricing on the designer.

Order and delivery us very good but the item even in the sale was not worth the money. UMAGE

I had a great experience buying some hard-to-find Umage lights from this store. They got back to me via email quickly and checked that they had the items in stock. The items were delivered via DPD local and I was able to change my delivery date as needed. Some of the boxes had already been opened, but the items inside were still fully packed and in as-new condition. They were cheaper than some E.U-based online stores and delivered quickly from stock in a U.K based warehouse, so I can't recommend highly enough if you are looking for similar.

I bought a Garden Trading Post Box for my new home and our builder offered to put it up for us. However, when he took it out of the box, it was chipped. We reported this, sent a photograph and four weeks on Black By Design's silence is deafening!

I ordered a Wireworks Right Hook Coat Stand from Black by Design.

There were no problems with the order. It wasn't next day delivery but it arrived after 2 days.

Why I didn't give BBD 5 stars?
At a bare minimum though, I would say Black by Design need to consider adding tracking notification or at least a despatch notification email to say they've processed the order.

It's the one thing that is a must in this current e-tail climate; there can be no room for doubt as to whether the product is in stock and if it has been despatched, otherwise you as a retailer will be inundated with emails and phone calls, which I can imagine wastes your time and takes you away from selling your product and running your business.

Very friendly email though when I did chase them about despatch, so that's great. I think they mean well, but just need to tweak a few things to be stellar.

Thanks, and P.S. the right hook coat stand from Wireworks is brilliant. It has 5 double hooks that are evenly spaced around the pole to avoid coats overlapping. It's worth spending a bit more on Wirework's one to avoid the Umbra flapper that has 9 hooks. The Umbra version has hooks huddled into 3 groups of 3, and those 3 hooks are stacked on top of each other, which means 3 coats hang piled up together.

Also, the Umbra Flapper may look nice but it has an mdf base, which makes it break into pieces after a period of time, and the pole is made out of rubber-wood (and hasn't been stained particularly well).

The Wirework's right hook coat stand has a solid oak pole and solid oak blocks that connect the veneered oak hooks, and then there's a oak veneered base.)

Ordered a bed throw, was emailed the same day that it had been despatched. It arrived the next day at exactly the time indicated on the email. Wow, will be using them again, beautiful item, amazing service.
