Tried this app after using their Reface AI app.
Well, this app is to count calories and motivates you through a raccon. I love racoons. Also, had a change to talk to their customer as I had issued with login, they replied pretty fast and got my issue resolved. love this app and I hope to get my eating habits fixed!
I’ve been using BitePal for a bit now and I really like it. It’s super easy to use and everything just works the way you expect, which makes a big difference.
It’s been genuinely helpful in my daily routine, and I haven’t run into any issues so far. Definitely one of the better apps I’ve tried recently — would recommend!
very good UI, and the functionality. support always assist if you have any questions
I liked using BitePal! It was very easy to use and made tracking food simple with photos. The app is clear and friendly, so everything is easy to understand. I liked how quick it is to log meals. The design is clean and makes the experience feel smooth. It is a helpful app for keeping track of food.
I subscribed in January directly on their webpage, not through my apple account not through my google subscription. the app never started to work, I have wrote to them and they told me what to do. i tried it did not work and I wrote again to them, never got the answer. i have found a contact of their legal and wrote to them and I got the answer after which again nobody answered again! after three months I got charged again and I am not using the app and i dont have any idea how they could charged my again! and through what! i have delated the app two months ago, and for this time they have charged me 110 euros! i am so pised that I will press legal charges and also go to my bank on Monday!
Hi bitpal, I have sent an email. Kindly answer it! THank you!

I was charged 71.+ dollars for and app that I used for maybe a week. I’ve tried to unsubscribe with out any luck. I’ve deactivated the account and removed it and I’m still getting charged. I do not want this or use it.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. It is not accurate and they continue to try to take money despite cancelling it

Awful!!!
I have been charged out of nowhere after cancelling the subscription. This is simply not acceptable. This is criminal!!!

This is a fun app but some features could be improved|: detailed analysis and advice about what I could improve in my diet, more information about specific aliments and maybe recipe ideas.
I had issues with cancelling the subscription but the support team was very quick to solve my problem so that's a positive

Terrible! I cancelled this over two weeks ago and was assured it was cancelled. I have been charged $10 two times since then. There is no way to contact them except for a bot email that doesn’t respond. Don’t fall for this crap.

Absolutely shocking. I trialled it and it was awful. I cancelled the subscription in the app then deleted the app. Yet, today, I've been charged! Been told now that I won't be charged again and that deleting the app from my device didn't equal a cancelled subscription. Yes, I know this which is why I CANCELLED THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE APP FIRST.

They took money out of my account without my permission and now I am contacting my bank to try and get it back.
I tried a 7 day trial and its nothing like it was advertised. They said they would email to continue use at the end of the Trial. They didn't do this. I closed my account down before the end of the trial and ended the agreement and they still took the money out of my account without my permission. As I don't have an account with them. I am unable to contact them about this so am getting a block on them through my bank if I can. Do not trust them at all.

Although the app wasn’t what I thought it would be the cancellation and refund was 5*. Jake was honestly fantastic and I received a refund immediately. (If it helps I’m not a bot and haven’t been paid to say this - it’s genuine)

Downloaded under the guise of it being free, apparently not! I only used it for one day, didn't like it so went into the app settings and terminated account thinking that was the end of it... nope! Got charged £33 for one months subscription! Couldn't find anything on the app to cancel it other than the terminate account option which I was later told by their customer service doesn't mean a thing! You have to cancel your subscription on the website. Thought jt was sorted only to be charged again last night and had to argue with screenshots and threats of getting the authorities involved to have someone reverse the charge but asked for a confirmation that this won't keep happening every month and cancellation of my subscription and am now being ignored again! Tried to log on to the website to cancel it that way and there is no option to log in or get to your subscription in any capacity so basically its a complete scam and I'm going to have to fight with my bank to get them blocked from charging my card again. Fuming doesn't describe how angry this has made me!

I subscribed on Jan 1st, 2026 when the ads were all over for new years. 3 months for $20 or whatever. It was cute and I was interested in the fasting/water notices, how easy they made it seem to track calories and how rewarding it might be to make the cute raccoon happy.
This was a trap.
I emailed on the 4th via the feedback button to say I wanted a refund. It was nothing like the advertisements or the website lead me to believe when signing up. Data was being deleted or not saved. Nothing about it was user friendly. The calories were entirely wrong etc. Never heard back.
I had 3 months to figure out how to unsubscribe and never figured it out. Given I didn’t spend entire time thinking about it. Had many other things to do but the charge for the next 3 months began to try to hit my card last night (April 1st). I spent a while last night and tonight trying to figure out how to cancel. Ended up blocking them as a merchant via my banking app.
While trying to figure out how to access account info I found the receipt in my email from when I first paid which led me to an invoice website called paddle. After jumping through a bunch of hoops to get there and logged in I fumbled around until I finally accidentally found an unsubscribe button. Not on their website. Not on their app. On a third party website.
Do not waste your time. Get my fitness pal or something like that. I’m still bitter I gave them $20 at all.

As with many other experiences here, I stupidly took up the trial only to be billed £33 ten days later. I have been told it is non-refundable. This is a SCAM. I am surprised that it hasn’t been closed down.

Signed up for a 4 week trial and paid the £12.99, then today I discover they have taken a further £33 and it’s not even past the 4 week trial yet! And there is no way to cancel the subscription, it doesn’t show on my apps for subscriptions for it to be removed! An absolute con! They don’t tell you that it is coming to the end of your trial and they just take the money anyway! Emailed for them to sort it out and so far heard nothing!!!

Draw you in with an offer of a discounted 3 months then block access after first 30 days and try to charge full price even though you should have access.
The app itself isnt much more than a food and water diary. There are other apps that do it better and support more.
Wouldn't recommend

If i could give 0 stars i would.
A true scam! The app is just an overpriced calories counting app.
I have asked for my money back and they have stopped responding to my emails. Stay away!
ADDITION FOLLOWING REPLY: i might have received my full refund but I had to fight for weeks for it. The customer service remains appalling and I still firmly believe that the app is not worth it, so no, I’m not going to change my score as people need to be warned. Thanks
