Alex was amazing all the way through the process of purchasing my second car. There was no pressure or pushiness when coming to look at a vehicle from any of the staff which is something I do really appreciate. Alex was very kind and helpful when I purchased my Volkswagen Golf. He offered to fix any imperfections and answered all of my questions before I brought the car home which was amazing and the car looks and feels practically new. The process was quick and very straightforward, great company and staff.

Dealing with the absolute gents at birchwood motors has been a pleasure. I part exchanged my 420d for the dream car of mine which was an M4. I was looking at the car for a while so took the plunge and went down, I was offered a reasonable deal for my 420d and wasn't far off the private sale price in my head at the time.
The new M4 was sold to me with an 11 months MOT and warranty for a year (same cost as it would be on a fiesta) for a performance car was a no brainer so paid the extra.

The new M4 is so clean for a 2015 plate and at 30k miles it's only just broken in. Paintwork is immaculate and the spec is something else with the colour combo.

Alex the sales rep introduced me to the car, went through the extras and let me start it up on Sunday evening (26/10/2025). After agreeing to the deal on the Tuesday (28/10/2025) I had the car by the Friday (31/10/2025). After calls with Morgan (director) and Alex (salesman) they held the car for 2 days for me so I could get the funds, transfer private plates, sort tax and sort insurance out by the Friday.

Honestly down to earth men who are striving in the motor trade down there at Birchwood Motors ltd. Their service, politeness, willingness to be patient and making the exchange swift is exceptional, second to none.

Had the car a week and beaming from ear to ear. Absolutely made up with the car, possible deals in the future could be on the cards as I was so impressed.

This has got to be one of the best car sales in Cardiff.The sales team look after you and give great service.The vehicles are presented to the very best valeting and are presented well.The part exchange price given is the highest around many of the garages.

I used birchwood Motors this week to part ex a car for a new one. They were great, Conor who I dealt with couldn't have been more helpful and was great at communicating and helping me organise collection etc. Would happily buy from. Them again, top work

Very friendly and helpful staff, the whole experience was very smooth And staff weren't pushy at all, gave me time to come to a decision naturally.

I saw a vehicle on the website and went to view it. I was able to test drive the car there and then. There were a couple of minor issues which I identified. Those were sorted to include brand new rear discs and pads and the vehicle was serviced. All round the service from Alex was excellent and I am very happy with my purchase, which was seamless. Also what I liked was there was no hard sell and I wasn’t pounced by a member of staff as soon as I set foot on the forecourt. I was free to wander and browse their stock. Would definitely take a look at their stock next time I come to change.

Whilst in the middle negotiating a prospective purchase, the plug was pulled on me by them. No notification to me of such ,I found out that the purchase price had been hiked up 600 pounds by revisiting the web page. I would have expected notification of this, but to keep me out the way this is what they did.
Customer service and respect is lacking
Be careful of negotiating with them.

Initially only looking to purchase one car but we ended up buying two! The process was seamless from start to finish! We did have 1 or 2 problems but this was dealt with so quickly and professionally by Alex who kept us updated along the way. Alex was super helpful and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

Staff professional and well informed. Everything done in a speedy and efficient manner, no false promises or pressurised sales tactics. Vehicle purchased at a fair price and in excellent condition.

Experience of buying a car from Birchwood Motors was quick and simple. Alex was helpful and the whole process couldn't have been easier.

I was fortunate in purchasing a very nice VW Golf and given a very reasonable price for my part exchange at Birchwood Motors; I also received a very friendly, helpful and professional service from Alex, he also sorted out all the documentation I required for the retention of my private registration plate, including the transfer of my plate to my new car and even provided me with my new private plates!

I would certainly recommend using this company when looking for a vehicle and I would definitely consider using them again in the future.

Alex made the whole experience easy and smooth. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he gave us plenty of information. We had a small issue when the car was delivered, but having spoken to Alex about it, he rectified it straight away. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Overall Great! I went to Birchwood to buy my first car. From the start they were responsive and helpful and booked me in to view a car within the day.

I spoke to both Morgan and Alex (who mostly handled the sale) and both were consistently helpful and friendly. I never felt pressured and they gave all the time and info and info I needed to make the decision.

The car was very reasonably priced for its age/condition, as was the other car from them I considered.

Once I decided to buy the process was smooth and well run. Before I bought, they MOT'd the car as it was approaching renewal date (which I appreciated) and they were really helpful with the car tax and paperwork for me on the day.

Overall, I'd really recommend Birchwood.

Alex was a pleasure to deal with, I liked the laid back atmosphere of Birchwood Motors, the car was immaculate and I would definitely use them again!
