Very disappointed in Billy J, I ordered something for my wife Friday afternoon. I emailed them within 24 hours wanting to change the size and checking the tracking history it had not even left the warehouse, and was emailed back saying nothing could be down,
I think this is poor and lazy customer service.

Billy J says they care about their customers but they couldn’t give a crap. They will take your money if the clothes are on sale and don’t fit. No exchange or store credit offered. Their size guides are useless and their customer service is horrific.

I made an order for multiple items on Billy J, I had seen one particular set I purchased (Lacole button up shirt and short set) on Temu and the reviews on temu stated it was exactly the same as the set from Billy J, I refused to believe this, as Billy J were selling this set for $109.95 where as Temu had it advertised for $38.00. Once I received this set, I was so disappointed in Billy J and their obvious ridiculous mark up. The set I received smelt like strong chemicals, had loose cotton pieces absolutely everywhere, poorly finished seams with stitching unthreading. Fake drawstring on the shorts, the stripes do not line up on the shorts. The buttons on the shirt were unthreading. Product tag had misspelt words (which basically screams Temu) and did not specify what materials were used - it was a temu tag. The inside lining of the shorts sits LONGER than the shorts material so the liner is visible below the shorts while wearing them. The mark up on this set is disgusting because the set no way warrants being sold at $109.95!

Tried to return a dress. Order number would not go through with email. So could not go any further and no reply from company when told order number will not register.
So stuck with a dress to small to wear. Will not buy anything from this company again.

OKAYYY. this website has my most respect. I ordered 2 dresses for my brothers wedding. They both were too big. The wedding was in 5 days. They stated for me to do another order and they'll put an urgent on it. It got here in 2 days. Got my refund. The materials aren't cheap either. I love this website and their sales people are were absolutely lovely and supportive. You've got a high praise from me !

I’ve been a loyal customer of this company for years, but my experience has completely changed my mind. Their return policy is terrible — you’re charged a $25 fee just to get store credit, so you’re basically forced to keep buying from them even when the items don’t match the photos or the cuts are wrong. I’ve had to return multiple items for this reason.
I decided to make one final purchase even though their products are expensive. After a month passed with no order fulfillment, I kept reaching out to customer service. They blamed tariffs and kept giving me the runaround. Then things took a shocking turn: instead of resolving the issue, they sent me an email that basically threatened me over a chargeback I filed because I never received my order.
In that email, they repeated their policies, claimed the shipping delay was “out of their control,” and told me to cancel my claim or I’d be banned from purchasing in the future. They even mentioned a $25 “chargeback fee” and tried to make it sound like my ability to shop elsewhere could be affected. I should not be intimidated for trying to get my money back for an order they failed to ship.
After all this, I ended up losing around $500 between store credit, shipping costs, and this unfulfilled order. This company used to be one I trusted, but the way they handled this situation — the fees, the lack of accountability, and the threatening tone — shows they do not value their customers.
I will never shop here again, and I strongly encourage others to be cautious.

My niece and her friend staying with me for the summer ordered a dress under my nose from here. I have been for months trying to get a refund. I sent the dress back months ago and cannot believe that they never received it. Didn’t open the package, didn’t try the dress on, it wasn’t even for me. I worked on communicating with them all along to let them know what happened. They have stopped trying to work with me on the refund even though I refused the dress through the mail. I haven’t heard anything about them and they kept my money without working to give it back. They seem like a predatory business with no help but the money they want to keep of yours. I don’t know the material of the dress or how it fits but I find it repulsive and bad business to not work with fraud and customers. I wouldn’t use them to buy anything since they don’t like working with people on refunds. I wanted to make a chargeback on my credit card but rescinded it because they said they would help me with a return and getting my money back because it looks bad on them to have a chargeback on a credit card. My card that I did not authorize my niece to use. I did everything they asked and worked my best with them to send the item back untouched and unopened. They just kept my money.

Extremely horrible service.
I ordered a dress from their website based on their sizing guide and went with a size 10 like they recommended, but it turned out way too big. I reached out to customer service for an exchange, and they told me they don’t do exchanges—only returns. So I tried to return it, but then they said I couldn’t because it was part of a “final sale.” Honestly, I feel misled and cheated. If it weren’t for their sizing advice, I would’ve picked a smaller size and avoided all this. Now I’m stuck with a dress I can’t wear and lost the money too. They need to take accountability for the information they put up on their website. Absolutely ridiculous.

I wish I could give zero stars. My experience with Billy J Clothing has been nothing short of appalling — from unclear product information to contradictory communication and a failure to honour written commitments.
I ordered the Kimberly Midi Dress (White), which clearly did not meet its description and was not as described. The fabric and overall quality did not reflect what was advertised, and the dress I received had no care tag, making it impossible to confirm its stated composition.
After returning the dress at my own cost and following up repeatedly, I was met with dismissive and inconsistent responses. I referenced the Australian Consumer Law, which states that when an item does not match its description, the consumer is entitled to a full refund, including postage costs.
Billy J initially refused to refund the postage, but after I escalated through PayPal, they confirmed in writing that I would receive a full refund including all postage costs. I withdrew the PayPal dispute in good faith — only to then receive less than what was promised. When I queried this, I was told that the refund was “complete,” directly contradicting their earlier message.
This entire experience demonstrates:
Poor product transparency
Dismissive customer service
Contradictory communication
Failure to honour written refund promises
I’ve wasted hours dealing with this, only to be left frustrated and disappointed. It’s deeply disheartening to see a company operate with such little regard for customer satisfaction and trust.
If you value honesty, quality, and accountability — shop elsewhere.

The dress I received had no care label attached, so I strongly suspect that the image you provided is not from the garment I purchased or returned. The fabric was 70% linen and 30% viscose, and did not feel consistent with pure linen, which prompted my concern in good faith.
Furthermore, your team promised a full refund, including both the original and return postage fees, yet while the dress and original postage were eventually refunded, the return postage has still not been reimbursed. It also took 10 days after you received this (confirmed by Australia Post) dress to receive any refund, and this only occurred after I personally contacted your team to follow up. I purchased a dress from the final sale collection. I followed the measurements before placing the order, but when I received the dress, it was quite tight. I understand that final sale items can’t be returned, but online shopping can be challenging as even when following the measurement chart, sizing can still turn out too tight or loose. I emailed them hoping to return it for a bigger size, but there was no negotiation at all. Very disappointing.
