I arrived to the hotel and no booking was made

I booked with them and I arrived to the hotel and I had no booking, they took hours to reply my emails. Their contact page only has a chat that does not allow to send messages, no phone nothing.
The good thing, they reimbursed me back the full amount in the same day

Billabook is a fraud and fake. They charged me for no reason and no refund yet.
DONT BOOK WITH THEM.
I already sent 10 emails to customer support. No luck!

Excellent nothing to complain 

I booked for a hotel in Dubai 4 months ago for 2000$. Honestly, I was worried about it cause I have had to pay in advance and of all negative feedbacks and evaluations on Trustpilot, but I was surprised. I get the confirmation of my booking at the same day and the payment receipt two days later also the hotel confirmed my reservation within 24 hours.

My experience says top service, everything was like by other trustworthy booking platforms.

I would rate it zero stars if I could…

I would rate it zero stars if I could the worse company to close a hotel with. So unreliable even till the last minute. I wanted the hotel to confirm the reservation and that I have a confirmed room only two weeks after I had booked it with them and paid fully not fully confidently knowing if I would have a hotel once the hotel confirmed the week of the stay it didn’t end there. I got to the hotel and they proceeded in telling me that the payment method keeps declining. I had to pay double for what I already paid with them. And was stressed trying to dispute my card till the last day of my stay, they told me that the company was finally able to be reached. This company does not have a phone number only email. They are so scamming and liars avoid using this company at all cost. I was really trying to be patient, but it was a waste of time and stress.

AVOID - SCAM - FRAUD

AVOID - It is a SCAM. There is no phone, no answer to emails, and its contact form gives an error. The website is fake. BEWARE. Look for all the SCAM fraud reports on reddit (real users).

Authentic but needs faster support

I initially wrote a one star review because I booked a hotel and only received their internal booking number and supplier number. Neither of which is accepted by the hotel. The hotel required a hotel booking number, which I did not get until 24 hours later and multiple attempts to reach out. Eventually the team got me the booking number so I’ve updated the review. I’m giving it 4 stars because it was the cheapest option but due to me having to reach out and no fast customer support I think the company has room for improvement. Additionally I lost money because of the short time frame to my stay so I booked another hotel using another platform as a plan b.

Billabook are thieves

Billabook are thieves. I did a reservation in Rome for a week. They never give me a response when I paid the hotel reservation. Once I showed up in the hotel, they told me there where no reservation. Billabook stole me $1,500 Euros since the hotel didn't hold my reservation because it was made through Billabook and the hotel will not guarantee the reserve.

We’ve already responded to your previous reviews regarding this reservation. Your booking was fully confirmed and charged according to the agreed non-refundable rate, and the hotel refused to provide a waiver despite our continued efforts.

You initially contacted us requesting that we submit a waiver request on your behalf, as you clearly stated that you would not be able to use your reservation. This information was communicated to the hotel.

Three days after the check-in date, you contacted the hotel directly indicating that you might want to use the booking. As per standard hotel policies, a room is not held after a client fails to check in, and according to the hotel, you did not arrive.

We kindly ask that reviews for the same booking be submitted once, as per Trustpilot guidelines, to ensure information is clear and accurate for other readers.

We always strive to assist our guests and secure refunds when possible, but we cannot override the hotel’s policies agreed upon at the time of booking.

Booking cant be confimed and Very Limited effort made to provide confirmation

It turns out Billabook is a real booking platform.

The Booking was successful!, I didnt belive it.

On the morning of the check in I recived an email saying the booking was ready to go. I didnt belive it. I thought it was a scam becuse they were taking so long to reply

I booked seperatly with the hotel and when I arrived they said I had two bookings.

In short:
I was able to make a booking with Billabook but I had no way to confirm it was a real booking untill I arrived at the hotel

If Billabook can find a way to assure customers that their booking is real, they will be a very competative business,
Unfortunatly under the current system it does not work for guests.

Billabook verified is a nice Idea, but it is not a good enough level of assurance for the customer.

I wish Billabook all the best, as I think they have a good Business model, but I think it needs to be improved.

I would consider using billabook again.

I will leave the notes below as a record of my experience, and I will update my star rating from 1 Star to 3 Stars.

If I could confirm the booking within a few days of making the booking, I would give 5 starts.

Maby Billabook is Still a start-up business with a few systems and processes to improve,
I hope so and I hope they can go well, because desipte the stress of having to make two bookings ect, they did ultimatly save me money!

If you are comfortable with not being able to confirm your booking for a long time, I would consider using Billabook if your could save some money on the boooking

Historical Record of events:

I made a reservation via billabooka on 29/10/2025 and intend to stay on 29/12/2025.

My Internal booking referance (not the one they say is for the hotel) is 1452029:

-I recived an email saying my booking (and all details) were confirmed

-I checked the reservation with the hotel by using my name

-The hotel said there was no reservation under my name

-I sent an email to Billabook that the reservation could not be confimred by the hotel

-I then recived an email from billabook with a booking number, the email said they had checked this number with the hotel as part of Billabook verified

-I sent the booking number, my name and dates of stay to the hotel

-The hotel again confirmed there was no such booking at the hotel

-I contacted Billabook again to advise the booking number they gave me was invalid

-Billabook replied and told me the booking was confirmed (even though I sent them a screenshot of the hotels reply saying it wasnt)

-I asked them how they confimed the booking with the referance number if I was not able to confirm the booking with the refernace number

-For the last two days of asking for assistance I have not recived any reply

3 days (72hours) have passed since my initial reques for help, for the last 2 days (48 Hours) I have not recived any reply.

I have screenshots with date and time stamps that document all of the steps described

I have requested that since 'Billabook verification' was sold as part of the package and because the booking cannot be verified that billabook refund the booking on the basis that they are unable to deliver the service they have described

Will I get a reply? Lets see?

7th Nov, I received a reply, -
They said they are reaching out to their supplier to get a contact name for the hotel so they can confirm the reference is available with the hotel.

This is strange given that I supplied them with an email from the hotel stating the booking was not valid

Secondly: In a previous email they said the booking reference had been confirmed with the hotel reception. But now say they need a contact for the hotel. They have contradicted themselves by saying they confirmed the booking with the hotel and now asking for contact details for the hotel, because how could they have confirmed the booking with the hotel in the first instance if they don't have a contact detail for the hotel and are now asking for the contract details

I alerted them to this issue on Monday night, it is now Friday morning and they still say they are "reaching out to their supplier". It should not take this amount of time to be in contact with a supplier if there was a genuine issue. I think saying they are contacting the supplier is a delay tactic so they can make it seem like something is being done.

I don't believe they have or intend to supply a booking, on this basis I have now requested they return the money I paid them, as I will need to book elsewhere because I cannot go to the location with a confirmed hotel

If there is no booking and they do something about it I will be satisfied

DO NOT TRUST

The fact that this scam has been allowed to continue truly amazes me.

Like many of the reviews here, my husband and I also trusted Billabook with my vacation plans. After receiving notice that Billabook confirmed the reservation with the hotel, we called and emailed the hotel a few times to double check. Each time we spoke to them they gave us the same answer: no reservation to be found and hotel confirmation number not recognized. We then contacted Billabook multiple times (and cc’d the hotel) and each time they assured us that our reservation had been made, even though the hotel had responded to this email chain confirming that no reservation existed.

The day before our flight was set to leave Billabook then notified us that, after “looking into it”, we had cancelled our reservation 10 days ago and that’s why the hotel couldn’t find it. We were in correspondence with the hotel prior to the date we allegedly cancelled so we know this to be untrue. We let them know this was false and threatened to take legal action if they did not refund the money they extracted from our bank account. Haven’t heard from them since.

I’ve also noticed a pattern in how Billabook tends to respond to these reviews, so let me reiterate in advance: my booking was NOT fully guaranteed and was NOT confirmed by the hotel at any point. I did NOT check into my reservation since none existed. I did NOT cancel my reservation. They did take the money out of my account (not just a hold). And I have NOT received a refund even though Billabook didn’t provide the services I paid for.

Please don’t ever, ever use Billabook.

Scammers

My wife and I paid Billabook $1,500 for our latest vacation. They took the money and never made the reservation with the hotel. We were in constant contact with the hotel which never had a reservation in our name, all the while Billabook "customer service" maintained everything was fine and they have "verified" our reservation. I was nieve enough not to trust the army of reviews saying this is a scam - and it cost me $1,500 :)

I had a problem making the reservation

I had a problem making the reservation, and I feared the worst, but after sending an email, the issue was resolved overnight.

April took care of everything; she understood the problem very quickly and was very professional.

I'm very happy with her.

Booked a reservation for a hotel and…

Booked a reservation for a hotel and tried to verify the reservation the day before, but the hotel could not find the reservation. Tried to contact Billabook through their "24/7" operations but received no response. The third-party they use, Travellanda, is equally unresponsive

Update: I checked again with the hotel and they were not able to confirm the bogus code I was given referenced any reservation, nor do they have record of any reservation under my name.

Very very poor I made a hotel booking…

Very very poor I made a hotel booking for which I was charged $285. However, the booking is showing as failed. I have sent six emails but have not received any response. The amount has already been deducted, and today was supposed to be my check-in, but I still don’t have any booking confirmation or any response.

refund process is difficult

I was impressed with how easy it was to book and how the system allowed me to log in and view all of my information in one place. Unfortunately, the cancellation and refund process has been a frustrating experience, and I want to share the full details.
According to the cancellation policy emailed to me (see attached screenshot), I had until Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 7:14 PM to cancel for a full refund. After that time, any cancellation would result in a $72 fee, and after February 7, 2026, the entire booking amount of $2,043 would be non-refundable.
I canceled my booking on Saturday, August 30, 2025, which was before the September 2nd deadline. The company’s own records show that my refund was initiated on Sunday, August 31, 2025 (see attached refund status screenshot). This proves I canceled within the full refund window.
Despite this, when the refund was finally processed on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, I only received $1,972 back instead of the full $2,043. That means they withheld $72 even though I canceled within the timeframe that should have guaranteed a complete refund.
To make matters worse, I have sent three separate emails asking for clarification and confirmation that the $72 would be returned. To this day, I have received no response at all.
The screenshots attached clearly show two things:
Their policy promised a full refund if canceled before September 2, 2025.
I canceled on August 30 and the refund was initiated on August 31, which was within the policy’s window.
Yet the company still kept $72 against their own stated policy.
This has been disappointing because the booking process was smooth, but the lack of communication and the incorrect refund go directly against what was promised. Customers deserve transparency, consistency with the written policy, and timely responses when issues arise. If they decide to fix this I will update my review, however they need to get a phone number for customer service instead of just one email.
