I authorized this company to settle my case on my behalf. They later told me that the other party had stopped responding, but since then communication has been extremely poor.

They take a long time to reply, and when they finally do, they fail to provide clear or meaningful updates. I have been left chasing information with little transparency about what is actually happening.

Very disappointing customer service. I expected far better communication and professionalism throughout the process.

I have had such a bad experience with BikeAssist. It has been two and a half years since my accident, and it’s still not completed.

It all started promisingly. I had a call from someone to decide what type and size of claim I was looking at, and with my combination of missed earnings, injury, surgery and a lifetime of having a metal plate in my wrist, I was assured that my claim should be high and that we should go for the traditional hourly method rather than a quick claim.

But after surgery and recovery, and then visiting a specialist to decide how life-changing things will be and how much my claim should be… It all went quiet. And then I was offered an amount that fairly covered my lost earnings.

I was told to reject it, which I did, and to chase a higher number. We did that a few times to no avail until I gave up and accepted the original figure, just to get this over and done with.

After I asked to settle. I was met with 8 weeks of being ignored, even though I emailed every Monday for an update,

I decided to then email, and copy in each member of bike assist, I had an email for… I got a reply in 7 minutes from the guy who ignored me for two months.

He then claimed he hadn’t settled my account and had been “working hard in the background” to get me a higher amount, and that because it’s now been so long, the low figure I accepted had now expired.

He said he was chasing them.

But has now ignored another 4 weeks of requests for an update.

So I still have no idea where my claim is at, and I can’t get a reply with information.

If you are with bike assist, and you do have to make a claim. Just make sure you keep on them, and if you get landed with Simon Pollard… he’s not the guy for you.

Had a great experience with bike assist, very helpful through everything over the past couple of years that I have been involved with them. I would like to make a special mention of Shabeena who has been a star through out my experience!

I cannot fault Bike Assist, my claim was sorted swiftly and I am back on the road now. Fiona called me personally on many occasions to let me know how my claim was going. Very good service all round.
