Online process super easy. Very competitive prices and long stay options without too many questions. Customer services response amazing, no waiting queues. Theo was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, unlike some other competitors staff members.

Really easy to understand website, easy form to fill in with explanations along the way to help you make the correct choice and the best deal I have found after looking at numerous sites.

My experience was the same as last year, a very simplified box ticking exercise with all the right options available. I have a medical issue which was very easily dealt with and covered as part of my policy.

Online chats were slow to answer and reply, but quite helpful.
Product seems good, but call centre definately helps with getting a quote.

WARNING. This is only a distributor for poor quality insurers. Claims are handled by the 'claims settlements agencies'/Gallagher Bassett umbrella:

Also, look at these reviews, all positive ones are related to getting favourable rates/good service when taking out a policy - not actually claiming! If you look at the reviews related to actually claiming (which is what you are paying for!! You'll have a better idea of the service)

When our travel insurance expired as we arrived in Australia, it was difficult to find new coverage since we're in our 60s, plan to visit New Zealand, the USA, and Canada, and won't return to England until late 2026. We eventually found Big Cat, whose website was easy to use and response to an email enquiry was immediate. However, although the quote was supposed to be valid for seven days, when I purchased the insurance after two days, the price had increased by £200, maybe I missed something in the small print! However, we are glad we have the comfort of being insured.
