Founded by Carole Smethurst and her son Phil Smethurst, what started with a team of two has steadily grown to become Australia’s most awarded travel agency. Not a claim we take lightly. No other agency can claim the number of professional awards that Bicton Travel has won. Today, we remain a WA-based Family run company operating from our offices in Bicton, Western Australia. We are proud members of Independent Travel Group, Cruiseco, Virtuoso, CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) and are committed to ongoing AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) ATAS accreditation. Booking with an ATAS accredited agent means you’re in safe hands and can travel with confidence. Very disappointed

Not a good experience with Karen at Bicton travel. Our concerns were brushed aside when raised. Very defensive , she just didn’t seem interested! We read many reviews before we went to this travel agent. Most were positive, so perhaps we just got the bad apple.

Thanks for getting back to me, on our cruise many people received a complimentary cabin upgrade. APT provided the upgrade. We are not unhappy with the cruise, fabulous time was had, just Bicton travels lack of service. Next time we will go direct to APT as very good deals can be had which was enjoyed by many on our cruise but not by us because we booked through Bicton travel.

Thanks so much Bicton for your reply (sorry, couldn't address you as you did not leave a name/contact). I did not cancel (but, as you say, the cruise was cancelled). I asked for a refund. I thought this was a fair and reasonable request given the pandemic and the consequent dire health issues on cruise ships.

Simply the Best

We have just experienced (like many others) a very stressful few days trying to sort complex travel arrangements involving a cruise, accommodation, flights and multiple countries over several weeks. Everything has been up in the air due to the coronavirus, but fortunately for us most of or our trip - I wish all of it - has been in the safe and very capable hands of Bicton Travel whose staff have been responsive, supportive, highly effective and simply exceptional in getting things sorted for us. They have gone to great lengths, often in their own time and compromising their precious time off, to be there for us and sort our arrangements. I have never experienced this level of service from a travel agent before and will no longer be using anyone else. If you want the best call Nadia and Phil at Bicton Travel - you will be in the safest of hands, receive excellent advice and have the best service you could hope for. These are very trying times for passengers, but particularly for agents. The professionalism we have experienced in these difficult circumstances really sets this organisation apart from the rest.

Bicton Travel are the best travel…

Bicton Travel are the best travel agents we have dealt with. They have all relevant information and details at their fingertips, their advice is second to none, service in an overseas emergency was brilliant, and we would not consider using anyone else in the foreseeable future.
