This is such a fun way to learn about art with a knowledgeable, interesting and engaging person whose anecdotes are fascinating and amusing. I loved every minute and think it worth every penny. Can’t wait for the next instalment!

I was exceedingly lucky to be part of one of Lynne’s tours of parts of The National Gallery, a fascinating, entertaining introduction to seven paintings, all previously unknown to me. This talk induced every response; from an eagerness to learn more about Art History, to hilarity. Lynne’s depth of knowledge and understanding of her subject is only matched by her ability to impart her passion for it.
I would highly recommend Lynne to anyone who wishes to visit a gallery with a genuine desire to understand paintings beyond their basic aesthetic appeal.

As a classically trained artist, I've had a good deal of art history lessons - in the main part, dry and fairly boring. Lynne brings a fresh, entertaining, amusing, and often slightly risque approach to the subject of which she is clearly very knowledgeable. If you want to learn art history, watch her videos, and when lockdown changes, I'd urge you to go to her talks in the National Gallery. Fabulous darling!!

I have been fortunate to have travelled extensively and as a consequence I have visited art galleries all over the world. This is one of my favourite things to do. The downside of visiting big city galleries however, is the large collections. It is my experience that by the end of 90 minutes or so I am overwhelmed by the sheer volume of images. Seeing paintings with Lynne is an entirely different experience. Rather than being deluged by quantity, Lynne’s ‘Wicked Women’ curated tour of the National concentrates on quality. She chose six paintings brought together under the ‘Wicked Woman’ theme and illuminated them in an interesting and witty manner. Around ten minutes per painting gave her ample time to tell the backstory and explain the significance of the main characters. I was fascinated and would highly recommend Lynne’s Beyond the Palette curated tours to anyone.

Lynne's most recent offering, a Valentine's Day Treat, had all the distinguishing characteristics of her work: it was informative, accessible, entertaining and witty. She again demonstrated her breath of knowledge about art history and familiarity with some, relatively obscure painters of past centuries. Combined with Lynne's bubbly personality, her presentation was really a treat!

Lynne's Diva's art tour was fabulous fun and interesting(back in the days when we could do things 'in real life'... Her zoom tours in the interim have been just as much fun (perhaps even more so, with a glass of wine in hand and no commute!) I highly recommend giving her a go. You won't regret it and will have laughed and learnt some interesting art facts.

Lynne's Valentine Treat was just that - a real treat. Lynne's talk was informative, interesting and highly entertaining. She is an outstanding presenter whose enthusiasm for Art History shines through. I would highly recommend following Beyond the Palette. I’m sure there will be many treats in store.

Lynne is so professional, knowledgeable and personable. Beyond the Palette sessions are fascinating as she can tell a great story. Lynne has a really engaging style, humour and sassiness that is irresistible - along with her wealth of knowledge. She approaches art history with her own saucy and funny angles that engage heart, mind and humour. From each event on line or tour, you come away having learned things and had a brilliant time. Great for individuals, couples, groups, parties and excellent for business customers wanting team building or a different experience on line or face to face when we can again. Unforgettable and worth going back to again and again to learn more!

Had a wonderful experience with a group of friends pre Christmas...we subscribed to Lynne’s Zoom tour; ‘We have the Impression it’s Christmas’. We had no idea what to expect but it was thoroughly enjoyable, interesting and fun for the group most of whom are not into art. Lynne really brought it to life with her vivacious personality and humour. I will definitely be doing another tour soon.

We had a fantastic time at the St Valentine's Zoom tour. The whole experience from start to finish was fab. It's really easy to book tickets for events and the Zoom link enables quick and easy access to the tour.
The evening itself was a perfect blend of interesting information, humour and fun interaction.
Would highly recommend these events to anyone - you don't need any prior knowledge of art to enjoy yourself.

Lynne brings art history to life in a hugely accessible and entertaining way. Lynne is fabulous such an original idea to make viewing of art so interesting personal and fun you come away knowing so much more because of the skilful way Lynne tells a vivid story

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour of the National Gallery with Lynne. She is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about her subject and certainly brings the paintings to life. They say every picture tells a story and that is certainly true when you visit with Lynne! She is warm, engaging, funny and a joy to be around and you learn an enormous amount about the subject in an entertaining way. I highly recommend any one of Lynne’s tours.

I highly recommend this event for a Friday evening! Really enjoyed the lecture based on six well-chosen paintings to explore the presentation of the topic at the National Gallery in a hundred minutes. Our effervescent guide, Lynne, beautiful and brilliant herself, talked about how each painting was created and how it came to be in the collection, explaining on the way historical and stylistic features of the period. Accessible to everybody - from the uninitiated to the connaisseur - it makes for a wonderful start to the weekend.

Lynne’s virtual art tours are absolutely fabulous. Her amazing knowledge and presentation skills combined with her passion for her favourite works of art brings everything to life. It is pure joy to sit on my sofa with a drink and listen to Lynne’s beautiful descriptions and to admire these magnificent paintings at the same time. Lynne offers a unique cultural and fun escapism at a time when we really need it.

Excellent presentation and analysis of four very different paintings. Lynne put everything into its social, historical and political context in a very engaging and humorous way. Terrific way to spend an hour or two, particularly during this Lockdown period! 😊

A thoroughly fun and informative evening. Learnt so much about artists and their paintings. The themed subject of Cupid and Psyche linked the mythology with paintings through the centuries. The questions and multiple choice answers for the participants made the experience more interactive with the viewers.

A lot of fun! And Lynne knows her stuff and brings it to life. Unlike a lot of talks, you can engage with other people attending, and have a talk at the end and ask questions of Lynne. Also, the Zoom 'chat' facility is available throughout. Lynne knows her way around Zoom and livened things up a lot with some interactive polls on our interpretation of what was going on - really liked that. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!
