The nation’s leader in Executive Function coaching has been serving clients since 2006. Beyond BookSmart works with students and our WorkSmart Coaching division focuses on serving adults. Executive function coaching teaches students and adults how to organize, plan, prioritize, manage time, maintain focus, self-assess, and study efficiently. Self-management skills are increasingly important in a complex world with many distractions and competing priorities. People who learn these skills are better equipped to navigate the challenges of school and adult life. Many of our clients are bright, capable individuals in late elementary school to adults of all ages who are not achieving their potential as a result of ineffective work habits. Some have diagnoses such as ADHD or other learning differences and see coaching as excellent additional support to school-based interventions. Some of our clients have emotional challenges such as anxiety which impact their ability to work effectively. Other clients we work with have no formal diagnoses yet benefit from learning more effective ways to manage their academic or workplace demands. Our coaches work 1:1 online to help people learn how to manage their time, attention, effort, and emotions, as well as stay organized, plan and prioritize, self-advocate, and become more self-aware. Using our deep understanding of the nature of behavior change, our coaches help clients discover their own motivation to become more effective at school or at work. All of our coaches have master’s level degrees or higher (or equivalent) and have been rigorously vetted and trained, with access to over 400 tools and strategies to customize each client’s experience, according to their needs and preferences.

I contacted Beyond Booksmart to work on long term executive functioning problems and to help me get through a demanding work project for 4-5 months.
My experience has been excellent throughout. The intake process was clear, efficient and professional, with full length conversations to answer all my questions and then find a very well matched coach to work with me. My coach has been great, having plenty of relevant experience and suggesting straightforward tools and techniques. She's been attentive and compassionate as well as consistent in communication and check-ins.
In the 3 months I've worked with my coach, my work project has gone Much better than I expected, with less stress and more successes. I'm also learning what works for me to keep better track of time and becoming better able to balance work, family, and personal priorities.
I've got a way to go, and it does take steady work, but I'm enjoying the journey and am optimistic about continued progress. I wish I had started this much earlier, but if a 60-year-old like me can be helped, I expect many others out there can too.

I have been working with beyond booksmart for about 2 months now and already see so many improvements. I used to think I was hopess and doomed to be this way and that I was too old to change but I was completely wrong. I am seeing change and have so much hope and momentum to keep going.
My coach is perfect for me. BBS did a great job of screening me to determine what coach would be best for me. The communication is wonderful. I am so glad I did this. I have even been able to use some of the things I am learning to help my children with their struggles.
BBS has been well worth the cost

The entire process of being matched through to meeting with the coach is wonderful. All steps were clearly articulated and my coach has been incredible in helping me identify my blind spots and creating systems for me to build on small victories. Highly recommend for neuro divergent individuals looking to find systems that improve everyday life!

At 13, our son was in Middle School and not doing well. His teachers would inform us immediately before he was going to fail assignments or classes, about which he had known for weeks or months, and it would be a mad scramble to get them done. Between a couple of different learning management systems in place at his school, we were so confused about work that was due and the deadlines and whether he had done it. We were truly concerned about him being held back and not making it to High School, not due to not being smart enough but due to not being able to manage the workload. We finally reached a level of frustration that we signed up for Beyond BookSmart. He went through a virtual 4-month program that provided him very specific tools as well as as a safe space. Fast-forward 2 years, our son is a Sophomore in high school, and has completely turned around. His grades are the other end of the spectrum now, and he just received an award (2nd year in a row). Here is a quote from the award certificate: "... comes to class prepared to learn, is inquisitive about the content, and grasps the higher-level concepts presented in class. He has an extremely bright future in mathematics and computer science." It goes on to say: "He helps to make (his) High School one of the elite high schools in the State of Texas!". I found out about Beyond BookSmart accidentally, and will forever be in debt of my friend who introduced me to this wonderful organization. Thank you!

Nikenya is an amazing coach. She holds the space with warmth, clarity, honesty, understanding, and strength, so it feels very safe. As a coach myself, I was wowed by her technique. Even after one week of coaching with Nikenya I was becoming more confident, less reactive, and happier. It's been about four weeks now, and I feel so lucky to be able to see her each week. Thank you!!

Our son is new to BBS and his coach has been supportive, innovative in her approach to trying to help him achieve higher executive function, and communicative both to him and to us as parents. We hope this new level of support will allow our son to figure out how to become self-reliant academically and otherwise.

Hello,
I just wanted to make your team aware that I am so glad to have found WorkSmart Coaching. The intake process was very thorough, the coach match was excellent, and these past months have been invaluable to my work and life. So far so good, but we have just barely begun our coaching journey. Perhaps timing this review request a little further into the process would make more sense.
