Such a fun day of adventure on the Portuguese coast.

Surpassed our expectations and is one of the highlights of our trip. João is an amazing guide, you will laugh and have a great time exploring the caves and sea life. You will see excellent views and learn about the history of the land while having the best time ever. João is very prepared and will provide you with everything (meals, snacks, gear, towels, drinks) to ensure you have the best time. Will definitely return one day!

The guide is high energy with some awful jokes you'll hate to love! Great scenery. Beautiful landscapes. Snacks and lunch included! Fantastic all over

I would highly recommend this tour. This was a full day water experience to explore the sea life, caves, snorkeling, and cliff jumping. The tour guide, Joao, was very informative and very funny (told lots of jokes). Only advice I would give is for those who don't drink, bring your own beverage. He does provide water and wine (or beer). You can purchase soda pop or juice through the local vendors at the beach. Other than that, I had an absolute blast with this tour.

We found this tour online researching cliff jumping near Lisbon for our teen boys and it turned out to be our favorite tour ever! Roundtrip rides to and from a central Lisbon location, loads of great quality gear was provided needed for the adventure, we were fed multiple times throughout the day (including wine for mom and dad!), the guide was very personable, funny, great with the kids, and shared not only adventure knowledge but Portugal geography, history and culture. We felt very safe the entire time even though this was a very different type of adventure for our Chicago based family. We loved all of the activities (kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, rock climbing, caving, cliff jumping-optional) and the best beach of Europe location!

We took several tours when we visited Lisbon. This was by far the most fun! It was an adventure right from the start. João was an amazing host, he provided snacks, a delicious picnic on the beach, wine and a lot of laughs! Our whole group bonded and the photos he took during our day are beautiful memories. Five stars aren’t enough!

Do yourself a favor and do the kayak adventure with João aka Johnny! This was by far one of the best experiences of our time in Portugal. Not only did we get to listen to the hysterical jokes, but João let us come to his home to get all of the necessary gear for the day. He thought of everything from the music to the food on the beach to the historical insight of the area. I went with my four siblings and we can’t stop talking about how awesome this kayak trip was. You won’t ever regret booking this! Also, I think I’ll have to bring my other siblings over to Portugal just for this experience. 10 stars!

This adventure was amazing!! We were challenged, educated, nourished and surrounded by the beauty of the Arrábida Natural Park!!

Joao did a great job making sure my family had a safe, exciting adventurous outing. So glad we took this outing for a day of nature and fun. Lisbon is gorgeous but it was nice to take a break from the city and just experience the beautiful nature Portugal has to offer as well.

Seriously so fun and an amazingly unique experience!

Wow, what an experience!

I have been around the world and tried plenty of different excursions, but I've never had something quite like this.

This excursion combines kayaking, caving/coasteering, cliff jumping and snorkelling all in one, with our guide, Joao (and his jokes) being the cherry on top!

I had absolutely zero complaints & would not hesitate to go with Joao again!

What. A. Day! Our family had an absolute blast exploring the stunning coast of Portugal with Beyond Adventures. Think jaw-dropping views, water so clear it looks fake, and cliff jumping that made us feel like action movie stars! It’s a full-body workout disguised as fun — and totally worth every sore muscle. If your holiday needs a little extra wow, this is it!

I always wanted to do kayaking, and I really enjoyed it. It was a good day, it was a small group, so the instructor gave us all the attention and information we needed.

A great day and a lifetime experience for my family. Did and saw some things for the first time in life, like diving from a cliff, getting into caves through narrow crevices, seeing fossils, snorkeling. Our four year old daughter got to do all the things thanks to the best guide and amazing group who helped us with her. My ten year old declared it as the best day of his two week trip to Portugal. Highly recommend others to do this atleast once in life. We will recommend Joao and beyond adventures to our friends and acquaintances who travel to Portugal next.

Everything was perfect — really, everything. The activities were just as promised: fun and engaging. But what made the experience unforgettable was João’s incredible energy, deep knowledge, and genuine empathy.

The word AMAZING just doesn’t give it justice. The energy and sincerity of Joao was remarkable. My husband and three teen daughters loved this day of adventure. Kayaking in the ocean, cliff jumping, cave exploring, snorkeling, a well crafted beach lunch, and so much more. Perfect day!

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! The day was a perfect blend of adventure, relaxation, and stunning scenery. Everything was well organized, the food and drinks were delicious, and our guide made sure we felt comfortable and taken care of at all times. Kayaking, cliff jumping, exploring caves, and snorkeling it all added up to a truly memorable trip. Definitely a highlight of our vacation!

João was full of life the entire trip and had an answer for any question you could ask him. There may be lots of other trips that look like they could compare to what he offers, but the truth is… without João you would never be able to find an experience like this. This is more than a job for him, it’s his hobby and a life that anyone would be lucky to get a glimpse into.

João was fantastic. So energetic, knowledgeable, encouraging, and kind. Me and my brother had an absolute blast. The equipment was also great quality and everything was wonderfully organised. Would highly recommend!
