Avoid this company!!

After reading all the negative reviews on here I wish everyone in Great Britain would boycott Bershka. My granddaughter asked me for a couple of things from this store for her birthday. One item was a pair of denim shorts which despite having the right size label in them they were much too big. Hence the impossible return process starts. First they sent the wrong return label which was to take item back to their Birmingham store. As it was too far to travel I tried to request the appropriate label to send from the post office. My email requests didn't get a response so I phoned Customer services. The young man I spoke to sounded so nervous and untrained on the phone that I felt quite sorry for him. I had to explain my request several times as he didn't seem to understand the difference between a return to store label and a postal label. When the penny finally dropped he said he would send me the correct label. Well I waited and waited and after a week it was evident I was waiting in vain. I then phoned up again and spoke to another young equally untrained man who kept putting me on hold despite my simple request. That conversation lasted 45 minutes. I'm pretty sure he hoped that every time he came back to the phone I would have hung up but I didn't. This time he did in fact send me a label which I thought was the correct one. The post office scanned the QR code and gave me a proof of return. I thought at last problem solved but no. Problem only just continuing. Bershka didn't refund me and when I contacted them again they wanted proof of return which I duly sent via email. They claim it wasn't legible so I got my tech savvy son to take a very clear photo with his expensive phone. The image was very sharp and clear and I duly sent it to them again. However all this was over a month ago and still no refund. Every time I contact them I just get an automated message saying they are looking into it and thank you for trusting Bershka. Ha ha! The shorts cost £30 so were not cheap. I think they are hoping I will just give up and go away or maybe don't even read my pleas for a refund. Do avoid this company at all costs because they will gladly take your money full stop.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Rang customer services and all they can tell me is it will be there in the next 48hours, couldn’t tell me where they have come from, so how does she know this!! Even asked if the store could post them when they arrive as we live 25 miles away, guess what the answer was no. Argh!! 😠

terrible customer service

Their returns portal said my order didn’t exist. I have been trying to return my order for weeks now. Their customer service is awful. I have to message on Instagram and they rarely reply. When they do reply, they start the conversation over again, asking for all the order info I have already down them previously. Feels like a scam to get me to give up so they can keep my monkey. If you want any of their clothes find them on ASOS, who have lovely customer service

I bought 1 top and 3 trousers from…

I bought 1 top and 3 trousers from Bershka. I did not receive the top and immediately messaged the customer service .They asked me pictures of the parcel and after all the calls and proofs they messaged saying they cant refund as they have sent the top. Its ridiculous service why would I lie about a £20 pound top . We have been a regular customer and this kind of service .

Bershka Brighton store - avoid at all costs

The Bershka Brighton store charged me twice for one transaction and then told me the money would be back in my account ‘within two hours’. If it wasn’t I was told to email customer service, which I did one day after the transaction. No reply. Five days later I’m still waiting. Appalling service and experience. Avoid at all costs.

No service with a smile just attitude!

I went to the Brighton store with my daughter on Tuesday 8th April.
We bought her a jacket which was lovely, however I was utterly disgusted by the attitude of the shop assistant we asked help from. There are no till assistants and we couldn’t get the security tag off, I left my daughter at the till and I went to get someone, the guy came over and I explained what happened, I had the receipt in my hand, he looked at my daughter and said “have you paid for this” my daughter said yes, he looked at her with a filthy look and said “oh really” I had the bloody receipt in my hand for gods sake! He took our receipt and literally read it word for word before he believed us!! Then he took the tag off! He had a terrible attitude and a face like a slapped arse, no smile or any nice words said! I was totally disgusted - where’s service with a smile these days?

If i could give 0 stars, i would! I’ve been trying to return an item since December and they’ve locked me out of my account so I can’t refund the item. i’ve been emailing and emailing and not only can the staff not seem to form a literate sentence, but they either ignore me or tell me to ‘wait for a courier to contact me’? even though they haven’t arranged one? What are they, magic? All i want is my money back yet this seems like an impossible task. I definitely wouldn’t recommend shopping online unless you have already tried on the clothes in the store beforehand as they will not allow a return of the item and will not give you your money back

I purchased a virtual gift card from the website on the 4th of January which should be delivered almost immediately- it is now 11 days later and no gift card has been delivered. Customer services just say there’s no update, someone will let me know when there is one. Their customer service line says they are open 10:00-21:00 but when you message them on WhatsApp they send an auto message saying their opening times are 10:00-17:00. TERRIBLE service. Avoid.

Aggressive rude staff

waiting for dressing rooms, very busy. Had 2 pairs of trousers, left 1 bought another. As I was queuing to pay I was approached by a young girl with long brown hair who had a stinking attitude accusing me of leaving the changing room in a disgusting state, explained I only had 2 pairs of trousers and it was not me, she continued on explaining how frustrating it is for her and how disgusting it was, would not accept it was not me, continued to hold me up while ranting about the state!!
Changing rooms are disgusting, to allow it to happen then approach certain customers queuing to pay is ridiculous.
She was so rude, in front of a que approaching me about something that was due to their utter lack of any management

Staff members bf is awful and insulted us

I went to this shop with friends a few days back, there was this staff girl who approached my friend and who seemed familiar with each other and tried to sell something we weren't interested in and still went to the stock room to bring an item back even though we weren't interested and made some comments towards my friend that was inappropriate. We didn't find anything interesting. However, a few moments later when we left the shop, a call came to my friend and the staff girl's boyfriend started insulting my friend because she went to the shop and made their girlfriend (the Bershka staff member) uncomfortable and told us never to come to that shop even though is the only shop in Edinburgh. This is unprofessional and I would like for this girl to get held responsible for this behaviour as she cannot keep her personal life and professional life apart and made my friend feel awful and not want to come back to the shop.

Charged twice for one item, they are disputing

My 16 year old daughter purchased a skirt in the Brighton shop in June, and at the till she was charged twice incorrectly for the same item. She sent them a copy of the receipt and screenshot of the transaction but they then denied receiving these. Having sent these again they now say the matter has been escalated internally. It should be a straightforward reimbursement but this company appears to be dragging this out hoping we'll forget. I'm absolutely disgusted. The person I spoke to on the phone today just kept interupting me asking for an order number which I don't have. Terrible company.

Do not order from Bershka

Do not order from Bershka! Placed an order on Tuesday. I have paid for my item to be delivered between Thursday & Friday and have received an email that it will be delivered on Saturday. Considering I will be on a plane saturday morning!! Also, I have had to get it delivered to a different address, as they could not find my postcode (and no it is not a new build) So angry!!!!!

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. My parcel is missing - they said they were going to start an investigation and get back to me via email. 5 days after I’m chasing the progress no expectation management given and the agent just closed my chat straight away without an explanation. All I got was “Unfortunately we do not have a deadline to resolve cases because each case is completely different from each other. We will contact you once we have a resolution. Have a nice day! Thank you for contacting Bershka.”
So am I just supposed to wait indefinitely? And what about the money I paid to them? How rude closing the chat just like that

Hopeless online customer services facilities

Hopeless customer services facilities. They have such restricted hours when they are available to 'help' via WhatsApp- that actually changed from 21:00 to 17:00 while I was communicating to them.
Asking to speak to an agent takes 45 minutes of waiting by which time you have given up, and they close the discussion because you are not there!

They lost a £139 transaction due to the fact that there customer service is shocking. Had an issue at the till when trying to pay. Tried 6 times between two phones but because we didn't have APPLE PAY it wasn't working. Absolutely shocking not everyone can afford to have an iPhone. It was our problem we got told yet when we went next door to NEXT it worked Absolutely fine and had been all day previous to this too.
We found really nice jackets too and an outfit for a night out but sadly wasn't meant to be because of the till/payment situation. We'll hold it for 24hours he said that would be useful mate if it didn't cost me 30quid to get to Edinburgh in the first place....won't be entertaining them again
