Scammers!!!

Scammers!!!!
Don't buy anything from Berk Toru they're scammers. They also operate under other names: Bonafita, Lashmire, Mysa, Vard Fashion, Vibre Sothe, Fiorina, and I'm sure many others.
I bought a beautiful handmade leather bag from this company. When I got the shipping confirmation and saw that it had been shipped from China, not Japan, I knew it was a scam. But the packaging said: 'Shipped from Japan.' What I received exceeded my expectations. A terrible oilcloth bag, not even the shape of the one in the picture. After the first email, I was offered a 10% discount. I declined (I paid £69.95!!!). They offered me a 20% discount. I declined and decided to return the package - the cost: £23!!! I sent it back on September 27th 2025. I sent several emails asking for a refund. Of course, they told me to wait, wait, wait... These are scammers. I found several companies online using photos from a free website. A friend bought a sheepskin coat from Lashmire and received a rag.

Do not purchase from this scam artist

Unfortunately the cover story is a total scam. There is no little old lady closing down her business. The bag was delivered from Aliexpress, China by iMile delivery.
I ordered two bags and only one was delivered. The one I received was damaged because of the way they shipped it. It has now been seven weeks that I have been trying to receive the missing bag. They keep stalling saying they are investigating. Same response every time. You can purchase the same bags on Aliexpress for 1/5 the cost. Total SCAM. I am annoyed that I looked up reviews after I experienced trouble.

Berkshire Bags advertised as quality leather

Bags advertised as quality leather. I knew it wasn’t going to be as they were too cheap. I was expecting PU leather and it was. Anybody who thinks they are going to get a genuine leather handbag for about $80 is dreaming. I did email them about their very false advertising on so many fronts. They gave me a 20% refund on the 2 bags. Then after using 1 of the bags for 3 weeks one of the lugs holding the short handles broke. I emailed them requesting a replacement or the part so I could get it fixed. I got an email back saying that due to ‘wear and tear’ they could not replace the bag. Insisting their product is quality. Made no mention of the part but as they clearly don’t make the bags they won’t have parts. Yes, I have since seen some of the designs on Temu and several other places as well. Definitely mass produced and going out to whatever distributor wants to pick them up. Berkshire does appear to be the most expensive that I have seen with the most elaborate marketing. By the way, I had the 2 pieces of the lug, so gave it to my husband who fixed it quite easily but that is not the point.

SCAM ALERT!

I purchased the Berk Leather bag expecting a quality leather product, but was extremely disappointed. The material is clearly not leather—feels cheap and synthetic. On arrival, the stitching was already coming apart.

When I contacted the supplier, they advised I would need to ship the item back to China at my own expense, despite their refund policy stating: “If due to our reasons, the goods received are damaged or not correct, the consumer is not required to bear the shipping fee for this reason.” They then attempted to negotiate a partial refund of only 20%, and continued to delay and avoid issuing the full refund I am entitled to.

This experience has been frustrating and misleading. I strongly advise against purchasing from this company—it operates more like a scam than a legitimate business.

Scam from China

This is a scam. The bags are mass production from China. The size were really small. I got the money back from the bank. I gave the small bags to children.

Just a gaudy piece of plastic.

Do not buy berkleather bags. Although some of the small tabs and loops might just be leather, the bag I received looked, felt and smelled like plastic and is a hideous shade of orange. Not the natural tan of real leather. Clearly mass produced. Not the handcrafted product made from premium leather that was sold to me. Tracking information located the shipping route through central and eastern China and so probably never been near Japan either. Hardest evidence is that the shipping label states the bag is a 'Women's PU backpack', which proves it is a synthetic material. It will probably only raise £5 at the charity shop.

Terrible

Terrible, a pure scam! The bag I requested was not the bag I received. It was plastic, incorrect dimensions, wrong color, smelly, and cheap. Please do not fall for this scam!

I ordered two bags from them but tried to cancel the order under 30 mins. They lied about there bags, there's another website where they can be bought cheaper. Anyhows they waited two days and said my bags have been shipped. I got hold of PayPal and escalated and they didn't help and kept asking me if I wanted to escalate complaint and I said yes PayPal kept me lingering on and did nothing and after wards said case is closed. Then I put a complaint against PayPal which there looking into. I contacted my bank and they are going yo be looking at it as a fraud and scam. For the last five days the parcel is going to be delivered today. It has not arrived. I curse the scammed. What goes around comes around. Don't buy from these lying thieves.

I completely fell for this

I completely fell for this! My red bag arrived yesterday. It definitely isn’t leather when it was advertised as vintage leather. It would have been a great deal at £59 if it was leather. I have emailed them awaiting return details. Please don’t bother with Berk Bags.

I was ripped off as well

I was ripped off as well. I received the wrong bag and have tried emailing them but no response. They even advertised the granddaughter packing the product. She did a lousy job and should be fired. It was one item and she couldn’t even get that right. I wonder if Mira is even real.

This is a scam.

The advertisement showed a dear grey haired lady who made quality leather bags in Japan. She is no longer making bags and is reducing the price of her remaining stock.
I paid £60 for a bag advertised as being hand crafted in Japan from antique leather and carefully packed by her relative in Japan.

When the bag arrived it was a bag that had been mass produced from a manmade material and sent from China.

I complained and was given instructions on how to return it. This would be at my own expense back to China even though the shipper was in the UK.

If I pay for this return would I ever see a refund?

This appears to be the same scam that was run by Graces Bags. The bags are not fine leather they are cheap and mad in China. It took me many months to track them down get my funds back, Same story Older white haired lady selling off all her stock so sad she loved making them. Prices were marked down by 70% and the more you buy the cheaper thry get. Then when you got them they were not as advertised. and you were told to send them back to an address in China.Odd because they were made in America. The ad was so professional I fell for it. I put this out as a warning and will now only stick with Amazon. I do not have any proof it is the same company’s but everything just shouts out it is. It happened to me in 2024. I have all the correspondence with Graces bags. Thankful for my credit card.I have pictures of the graces ads. I have recently read some of the reviews of bark bags and they are the same one form the other company. The ads on the comapny linear great but it you look up reviews on line you will see the bad ones.
