Misleading and poor quality

I had a very disappointing experience with Ben’s Jungle.

My first order, placed on December 25, wasn’t shipped until February 17, and only after multiple emails. It seemed to me like the order had been forgotten.

The bigger issue is with the products themselves. The “Ben’s Rainforest Background Composition” is presented on the website in a way that strongly suggests it grows moss, especially since it’s listed under the moss category and all images show moss growing on it. In reality, it’s just a base material for moss to grow on. This is very misleading.

I then ordered two moss spors mixes, followed all instructions carefully, misted daily, and even used their own background composition. After more than three weeks, there has been zero growth.

In total, I’ve spent a little over €100, including €34 in shipping, and have nothing to show for it.

I also contacted customer service about these issues and received no response.

Overall, very disappointing experience, both in terms of product quality and customer service.

THEY SCAMMED ME

THEY SCAMMED ME. I ordered a scindapsus snake scale cutting for 30 euros, and they sent me something that most resembles the common exotica. Reached out asking for refund/new plant. They came back with , welll they can add one with my new order in spring. Basically I have to look at the website for months, need to spend more, pay for shipping again and then maybe, maaybe I get the plant I paid for already. I respectfully refused the offer and radio silence since.

Hit or miss, customer service disappointing

I bought over the last years a few times from the store. The last purchase will probably be my last.
This summer I bought 2 Stephania Kaweesakii from Ben's Jungle, about a month apart.
The first sprouted immediately without problems, the second never sprouted. I contacted the customer service and said that I have experience with caudex plants and the care necessary ( I have 9 in my collection) and that my second Stephania doesn't seem to be good. It's not rotten, but even after 3 months of trying everything it is still not sprouting.
I was given advice, I already followed all ( from their Instagram videos on caudex plant care) and told that it can take weeks to sprout.
I told them that I did all the right care and that almost 3 months have passed, and I would like to send it back and get a replacement or refund.
I was denied both :
"Regarding the bulb in question: we understand your concern and frustration. However, as nearly three months have passed since purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer a guarantee for sprouting or growth after such a long period. "

So , first I am being told that I should be patient and try different care ...then I am being told it's too late.
I will avoid purchasing again in the future, I am extremely disappointed.

Knowledgeless about plants!

They sent me a philodendron strawberry shake with absolutely no green on the stems, and only a little on the leaves.

The plant and also pests and came soaking wet with rotten leaves

Never had a worse experience from a plant shop.

Update: After a negative review here, they sent me a new plant.

Do not buy RFB

Plants are ok and stuff are ok but do DO NOT BUY RAINFORESTBACKGROND that shit contracts as hell and leaves you with huge gaping holes on all wood and glass straights

Reliable and friendly service

Nice shop. Good prices and a selection of plants. I bought two plants with a heat pack. Payment was easy and the customer service friendly and quick. Despite of the winter, the plants arrived quickly and safely in Finland. No damage, no pests. Just one earthworm which I see as a sign of healthy soil. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Your local landfill will provide better quality for free.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. Easily the worst online plants shop I´ve encountered.

The order was 3 days late, which caused them to be cold damaged by the time they arrived. When I first complained, they said it was due to thrips and offered to refund 20% of the price. You know, because only 20% has been damaged by the pest. Like selling someone a rotten apple and refunding for the rotten part. Quite ridiculous, laughable really.

Let me copy and paste from their email:

"So far your plant looks all right. Of course, we should not have supplied you with thrips. As these are natural products and we do not treat our plants chemically, it does happen from time to time.
We can offer you 20% of the purchase price of the plant as a credit on your customer account or as a refund to your original means of payment."

So they basically admit that when buying from them, you´re risking bringing in an infestation into your collection. And that, they don´t take basic phytosanitary precautions like inspecting plants before shipping.

The java moss was 50% dry bits of java moss and the "decoration" moss also 50% dry and full of slimy dead lichens, sticks and dirt. I seriously suspect someone went to the park, put some moss in a plastic bag and put a price tag on it, because that´s exactly what it looked like. I ended up throwing it away because I bought it to decorate, not make things ugly.

After sending pictures showing the sorry state of all the product purchased, they gave me a 20% refund for the order. They said I was responsible because I didnt purchase their winter packaging. When really, the mosses were bad quality the moment they went into the box and the order was 3 days late causing the rest of the damage.

I wish I could add pictures so people could see the quality of the plants for themselves. They clearly do not take any pride whatsoever in the quality of the products they supply nor customer satisfaction. Complete amateurs. Go throw your money in a wishing well, for better results

SCAM

I received a plant with NO chlorophyll on the stems, and barely any chlorophyll present in the leaves. It has 4 leaves as follows: 2 completely white of which one already died and the other one will die soon, 1 leaf with 10% green and 1 leaf with 25% green. Contacted them telling them this plant has literally no chance of survival and they pretend they don't understand. Asked for a return&refund which they didn't provide.

They put fake photos on the website, with healthy plants in substrate, you won't receive anything close to that, the plant arrives in sphagnum moss with barely any roots. Don't order from this shop unless you want to get scammed.

excellent buisness.

I ordered two plants from this shop which arrived promtly, in perfect condition as they were so well packaged for the trip to ireland. this is a great shop to order from and i would highly reccomend it.excellent service all round.

Seriously :p?

Long time ago now, but was about to use and noticed "lliana" is just a twigs wrapped around and nailed into another one, actual metal nails. I had a laugh, what the actual F you guys?
The tree fern was good though, I think, but I have doubts :p
