My mate Wilf
My mate Wilf, the rescue staffy always eats his food and appears to enjoy it. I add veg, lentils etc for variety but I know his meals are nutritious and contain the things he needs. He won’t be happy to know I say that plant based has improved his digestion and poo, but it definitely has. His levels of physical health and energy are brilliant, and as a vegan myself am so happy that we don’t contribute to the suffering of other animals. Both the wet food and complete dry are always devoured by him and his bowl is always cleared.
I know that my order will be fulfilled and arrive when
expected. Before this I had used other suppliers and especially during lockdown product was not always available.

Sorry to hear your dog wasn't keen on the food. Often this is down to how it's presented. As you say, if they like their regular dry food, then by following the transition guide on the bag, you would only add Benevo bit by bit over 2 weeks - or longer if needed - to aid the transition. After that you can add a little variety with things like a dab of dog friendly peanut butter, a squirt of tomato puree or even some Italian herbs! You can order samples from the SHOP page on our site should you want a low risk 2nd go :)

Best vegan dog food on the market
Best vegan dog food on the market. My dog no longer had bloating and stomach problems and is full of energy - she loves it! Tried many other vegan dog foods but she wouldn't eat them! Benevo win hands down with my dog! Service is also fantastic.

Thank you for your review. It can take a couple of weeks for animals to adjust to a new food. If your cats preference is the dry food and you are worried about hydration, you could always soak the kibble in warm water about 10 mins before serving.

Loved by humans but not cats
Love that these products exist but my cat just won't eat them so a lot of money wasted. I think they need to be more meat scented and flavoured for a cat because she just won't eat them (and yes we gradually introduced them to her diet as recommended but she just eats around them). On the other hand my human boyfriend thinks they're nice.

Hi Vix, thanks for the feedback. Cats are notoriously fussy and for those few that don't go for the dry kibble as it comes, you can try adding flavours, since aroma often drives eating, so a little tomato purée in warm water mixed in, or a shake of nutritional yeast can help. So too can a spoonful of our wet cat food, however keep your eyes on our website and socials for new cat products.
