Thank goodness for Benenden

I had a 2 and a half year wait for referral to Neurology on the NHS, thank goodness for my Benenden membership!! I saw a Neurologist within a fortnight of requesting help from Benenden. I had an MRI 3 days after seeing the Consultant . Great service!

Brilliant all round!

Cannot fault any part of the service I received.
My consultant Mr Stapleton was kind and professional.
I felt I could ask any question and using the app meant I was kept up to date with all aspects of my treatment.

It’s great having a service that you can access straight away when needed. I couldn’t get a drs appointment for an emergency, but managed to get an online consultation with a gp within an hour of my booking online

Every call used to be rushed

Every call used to be rushed; they barely discussed my symptoms and just told me to go to my GP. It felt like a tick‑box exercise, and nothing changed until I left a review.

Since then, they’ve sent an email and invited me to book an appointment, saying they’ll refer me to their doctors. While this is a step forward, I’ve had these symptoms for a long time, help only came after I complained.

It still makes me question what the service is for if support only arrives when you speak up. I hope this appointment delivers the help I need.

Useless service

Useless service - Every time I have a GP appointment I get told I need to go and see a GP. Are they not real GPS????

Our 24/7 GP service is remote, meaning our members can access a GP via a phone or video call. This is great when needing immediate, 24/7 advice, but there is the limitation that if you need a face-to-face appointment (likely due to a physical exam needed) then our GPs will recommend you go to your local practice for it.
This doesn't mean our 24/& GP service isn't 'real'. All GPs are fully qualified, and eager to support our members 365 days a year, day or night.

I’ve had a really positive experience…

I’ve had a really positive experience with Benenden Health. Using the app and the telephone GP consultation was straightforward and convenient. The doctor listened carefully to my symptoms, helped diagnose the likely cause of my knee pain, and explained everything clearly.

I really appreciated being signposted to self-help YouTube videos with exercises and advice to help manage my symptoms. The recommendations were easy to follow and gave me practical ways to start improving my knee pain straight away.

The whole process was quick, professional, and reassuring. It’s great to have access to healthcare advice without having to wait for a face-to-face appointment. I would definitely recommend Benenden Health to anyone looking for accessible and supportive healthcare.
