I was referred to this organization (Beltway Movers) through my Church. Bill Barrett the Director of Sales and Operations was our sales rep and he said he would take care of us. Our move to TX from Maryland was not cheep and this group was not the cheapest. The move went generally well and they had damaged a few of our belongings. We did not have overly expensive pieces but they where not Ikea either. The damages added up to be over 30k. We thought we where working towards a settlement but after seven mounths of working with the claims representative (an employee of the Beltway movers and Choice Relocation group) we have gotten no where and our case and it hasn't even been reviewed by the President of the Choice Relocation Group (Glen Childs)nor the owners of Beltway movers (Doug Shelton and Bob Benner). They have done everything they can to keep me from speaking with them. What ever you do stay away from any moving company related to the Choice Relocation Group. Because they can represent them selves as two different organizations you may be confused that your case is actually being handled by a third party. It is not: it is all a run around within the same organization. Bill Barrett had every opportunity to move our case up the ladder but acted like it was totally out of his hands. Even when the referral comes thru your church please do your homework and run from these moving companies.
