The attention to detail was above and beyond; chaperoned through India’s customs & immigration, priority boarding on internal flights meant enough space for all the camera and birding gear, and carefully selected accommodation in conservation- and community-focused lodges. Not to mention the guide, Indrajit, with a vast knowledge of fauna & flora who ensured our tiger viewings were the best!

We recently returned from a once-in-a-lifetime journey to South Africa to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary, and we are beyond grateful to Bellingham Safaris for making it an exceptionally memorable experience.
From the moment we arrived in Cape Town to our final safari drive in Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, every detail was flawlessly executed. Our itinerary included stays in Cape Town, Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, the Cape Winelands, and Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve — each destination offering its own unique charm, all bound together by impeccable 5-star service and hospitality.
The level of attentiveness shown to us by hotel staff and excursion guides was nothing short of first class. Every transfer was seamless and stress-free, with all of our needs anticipated and catered for, ensuring a journey that was not only luxurious but also deeply comfortable and relaxing.
The cuisine throughout was exceptional — a true celebration of South African flavours, beautifully presented and of the highest quality.
Of course, the highlight of the trip was the incredible safari experience. Bellingham Safaris created an excellent itinerary for a four day animal viewing safari and a two day Urban Safari, the latter being in Johannesburg. Our arrangements were seamless, allowing us to enjoy our experiences. As seasoned global travelers, we've had many travel agents and agencies and we highly recommend Bellingham. Their service is impeccable and their tours are creative and highly entertaining.

Shelly, Jen and the team at Bellingham Safaris organised the most wonderful safari for us centred around the backstage Kwandwe experience. Our trip also included visits to the conservation programs at the remote Samara Karoo Plains camp and the marvellous Phinda Forest Lodge.

Our trip was carefully planned to include all the outcomes we hoped to achieve. From the moment we arrived in South Africa our every need was anticipated and catered for.

At Kwandwe we participated in the extraordinary Rhino Conservation program. This was a behind the scenes look at all the incredible work that goes into protecting these endangered animals.

This truely was a once in a lifetime experience, we had no idea it would be so hands on and we cannot thank everyone enough for allowing us to be so involved in all the interconnected parts involved in Rhino Conservation. This has to be one of the premier wildlife experiences anywhere in the world.

Another dream-like African experience organized by Bellingham Safari. Fifteen glorious days through the Western Cape visiting four different but equally interesting sites each providing a unique perspectives of South African life, people, nature & human evolution . First stop Babylonstoren , an historic Dutch farmstead where I experienced the warm SA hospitality & diversity and the incredible food and wines produced locally- including buffalo mozzarella a la par with the one made in Italy ! Daily walks through the gardens and orchards surrounding the property were truly zen moments. Next a comprehensive visit of Cape Town gave me a sense of the unique beauty & energy of this city and the incredible progress made to mend the troubled past of this diverse nation. Safari in Sanbona was an opportunity to observe wildlife within the vast expanse that recreates the original landscape of the west cape; and let’s don’t forget the amazing unpolluted night sky. Last was the magic of Lekkerwater, a coastline eco-lodge immersed in endemic fynbos vegetation, home to a intertidal microsystem of birds and marine creatures (including the mighty whales) that provided a crucially protected area for human evolution; being there is truly as being back in our ancestral home. Leaving Cape Town I took back with me many, many memories of an incredibly diverse and proud land thanks to an itinerary designed with love & implemented with high professional standards.

We had a wonderful experience with Bellingham Safaris. From the moment we booked we received a wonderful outline of our accommodations as well as all the information we needed for our trip. The flights between our camps were always on time and the airplanes used were very clean, updated and safe. The two locations that we stayed in were excellent. Everything was clean and very well organized. We particularly loved our stay at Chem Chem forest. The staff was so friendly, the amount of wildlife we got to see was unimaginable and the food was top quality. We booked this trip as an adults only trip, but I can’t wait to do this again with my kids.

Bellingham Safaris, wow how they worked their magic again for us. Our first time in Zambia and if anyone has thought about going but not decided as regular safari goers we can highly recommend it, fabulous sightings and three very different areas to see. Northern Kafue is in Kafue National park, then Lower Zambezi National Park ( our favourite of all three as very different to our usual safaris with so much water). Finishing at South Luangwa National Park. We stayed at three luxury camps as recommended and they all came up to expectations, but we have come to expect that from Bellingham Safaris. Shelly organised our trip and handled it all brilliantly from start to finish. All transfers were there when they were supposed to be, all airport pick ups to take us to check in desks and through security were brilliant. All the flights were almost on time ( not that Shelly can control that). The pre travel information is sent before you leave home and the Travel Key app they use is invaluable. You get a whattsapp group with three of the team available on it if you need anything while you are away, but the camps they use were all very good at sorting things out anyway. They handpick the guides at each camp if they are not on leave. We have been travelling with them for 10 years now and have booked next year to Tanzania already and planning 2027. What a great company to travel with.

The Bellingham Safaris team created another extraordinary tailored adventure that left us in awe of the ecological richness in the South African Cape region -from marine and semi-arid landscapes to the beauty and diversity of the Cape Floral Kingdom. Gaining insight into the anthropological story of our species and the conservation efforts currently happening in the region, left us both reflective and inspired well after our return home.

This was our sixth voyage with Bellingham Safaris and, as always, it exceeded our expectations. We are very experienced wilderness travelers who explore worldwide, and we often have specific goals for each journey. The Bellingham team has the collective knowledge and skill to consistently connect their clientele to the wildlife they seek, in the style they request. They listen carefully, plan meticulously, collaborate continuously, and execute brilliantly. No detail is too small, no goal is unattainable. Bellingham Safaris know the wildlife places to visit in great detail. They work closely with you to tailor your trip to your needs and then to make sure that every step of the trip goes smoothly. You always feel like you have support and they are extremely responsive to any concerns. Everything is attended to with care. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Bellingham safaris organized for me a truly unforgettable trip through Namibia by putting together an ad hoc itinerary that included three dramatically different sites with regard to landscape and wildlife, namely the Ongava tended camp near Etosha National Park, the Hoanib Skeleton coast camp and the Wilderness Little Kulala lodge near the Sossusvlei dunes. These three locations provided visual evidence of the amazing adaptation of wild animals and plants alike to an increasingly harsh terrain as I moved from the semi-arid savanna of Ongava, through the rocky desert of the Hoanib valley , ending at the unique Mars-like landscape of Sossusvlei. An incredible journey in which, thanks to expert and knowledgeable guides, I closely observed all sort of big and small creatures in their natural habitats, in addition to learning about the geological history of this ancient place. It could not have been a better choice of itinerary for me to discover the harsh unique beauty of an Africa that I didn't know existed. Furthermore, I was very much impressed by the high quality of the accommodations throughout the trip and the seamless logistics operating behind it. Last but not least for a solo traveler like me, the staff of Bellingham Safaris followed my journey on a daily basis through a group chat, providing additional commentary to my experience ( particularly with regard to the conservation efforts associated with ecotourism) as well as traveling support when needed. Bottom line: a magic trip in a magic land.
