Beams makes home renovation simpler, clearer and more sustainable. We help homeowners plan and deliver high-quality renovations — from kitchens and bathrooms to full home projects — with confidence, not guesswork.
Too many renovations start with uncertainty. Costs feel vague, timelines shift, and key decisions are made before anyone really understands what’s involved. Beams exists to change that, bringing clarity to the process before work begins.
We use AI trained on real renovation projects to turn early ideas into realistic cost ranges, timelines and options. That means you understand what’s possible from the outset — and can shape your project around clear information, not assumptions.
Crucially, we bring builders in early. Instead of pricing plans in isolation, trusted builders help ground your project in how it will actually be built. You meet vetted professionals who review the same clear brief and provide like-for-like quotes, making it easier to compare, choose and move forward with confidence.
By combining smart technology with human expertise, Beams helps avoid costly surprises, reduce waste and keep projects running smoothly. The result is a clearer, calmer renovation experience — and better homes that are built to last.

My experience with Beams Renovation has unfortunately been difficult from beginning to end. Every stage of the process — consultation, design, and construction — was marked by issues. Anything that could go wrong, did. The builder in particular made a significant number of mistakes, and what was meant to be a small bathroom renovation ended up taking three months instead of the original six‑week estimate.
To their credit, the team genuinely tried to deliver the project (special mention to Simon), but the overall experience was stressful, poorly coordinated, and far below expectations. I would not consider working with them again.
In hindsight, attempting to save money by choosing Beams Renovation was a false economy; a more expensive company would likely have delivered a smoother and more reliable experience.
Ultimately, I believe their business model contributes to the challenges. Each contributor — consultant, designer, project manager, and builder — operates independently, with limited ownership of the overall outcome. This fragmentation results in miscommunication, delays, and a lack of accountability.

Did not deliver on managing budget nor timeline!
We hired Beams for a multi-room renovation in our Victorian house initiating the discussion in July for a delivery mid February.
While they were very reactive and responsive in the "pitching" phase with their commercial team and designer showing great attention, the trouble started when the actual renovation started.
We have been very lucky with our builder appointed by Beams as he has been very reliable and trustworthy but unfortunately our experience with Beams has been catastrophic:
- Their budget often had mistakes double counting VAT, always picking most expensive items, so we had to double check everything
- The procurement team made mistakes in ordering items or forgetting some things and this impacted our builder's capacity to meet its timeline
- The project is not followed closely by Beams as opposed to what they promise. Many mistakes were made and our project which was supposed to be completed mid February is now still unfinished with at least one more month of work (and this is not the builder's fault but only Beams)
Their quotes lack accuracy and often focus on shallow aspects of the work. Old houses like ours required deeper renovation work which was not anticipated by Beams so our budget was exceeded by at least 15-20% for a 6 figure budget.
I have tried contacting their commercial service to complain but received zero attention nor response; only the building project manager has been trying to help.
So a very disappointing experience for us which makes me question Beams capacity to actually deliver on the promises it makes for its customers - timeline, budget and support.
They have a good online dashboard, very good network of builders and could be a great company but as a customer you feel the company is short staffed, lacks experience and quickly moves on from a customer to another as soon as they get you "hooked" on a project.
Had I been contacted by their commercial service team and be better supported through the process, my experience would have certainly been different.

The Design Team understood the brief perfectly and the Project Management Team paired me with my dream builder and kept the project on track!

Amazing company. Been working with Beams for a few years now and on multiple projects. Very streamlined process and easy to work together with. We did measured house surveys, they did the design, and together we completed successfully at least a few hundred projects in total, lost count :)

Beams delivered a wonderful bathroom renovation for us. It was a tricky project with some structural uncertainties heading into the work. The team took genuine care in preparing designs and went out of their way to visit the site ahead of finalising plans to ensure deliverability. They appointed and worked with a skilled building team to deliver the project quickly, efficiently and to a very high standard. Having the Adrian and the Beams team on hand to manage the project and provide extra reassurance on build decisions was incredibly helpful and made the whole experience stress free. We are delighted with the outcome and would highly recommend.

From the initial enquiry, to being matched with our designer (Chandni) to then meeting our build team, the Beams experience was enjoyable (something I didn't think was possible with house renovation work!). We had 2 bathrooms refitted and once we had finalised our design the delivery of all the fixtures and actual work itself seemed to happen without us even realising.
I would use Beams again for renovation work and will be recommending their services to friends and family!

We used Beams for our full-flat renovation and had a great experience. We're first-time homeowners and both have full time jobs, so Beam's end to end support was invaluable. Our designer Akhil, project manager Adrian, and contractor (Torba) were on the ball throughout the process. I'd highly recommend them.

Very clear explanation of what the process is

I really enjoyed working with Beams on my kitchen renovation. They understood the unique challenges of designing for a small kitchen - something many showrooms overlook. I had struggled to find inspiration and practical ideas from other kitchen companies for a compact space that still needed to be highly functional, but the Beams designer offered several smart solutions that have worked really well in practice.
I was initially surprised that the entire design process was handled remotely, without an in-person visit to see the space. However, the final result turned out well, so I guess the remote process didn’t hinder the outcome.
The build phase did take longer than I expected, and my only minor criticism is that having more than one fitter might have sped things up. That said, I’m delighted with the finished kitchen and very happy with the overall experience.

The initial call was really helpful. We went through everything room by room. Explanations were clear. Really great.

Ms. Briarley Ransfield has a very good telephone manner as well as excellent Customer Service and problem-solving skills. During our preliminary Team meeting, l felt like she was not only passionate about what she does but equally important, she really understood the assignment which is very important to me, as the Project Manager.

Rosie, unquestionably, approached the conversation with an exceptional degree of professionalism.
Professionalism, as far as I’m concerned, is the cornerstone of customer service.
Rosie doesn’t just meet expectations. She knocks it out of the park. Rosie, throughout the call, exceeded my expectations and subsequently made me question certain preconceptions I held regarding certain age brackets.
Based on my previous experience with individuals within this young lady’s age bracket, personally, I found myself refreshingly surprised by the encounter. A pay rise might be in order, naturally, me thinks.

Beams took the stress out of the job, designing and sourcing the products and finding the company to execute on the project.

Briarley, was amazing. She took her time with me and listened and made me feel really good about my project.

Definitely made me feel confident about the renovation and not hesitant to raise all the issues with the job, including some of the minor details, which are nevertheless important. The company clearly know what they are talking about.

Very professional and transparent. Thanks Rosie!
