They sided with one of their business…
They sided with one of their business members, Tiner Properties, over me, even though I have pictures proving Tiner Properties lied and committed civil fraud. They do not care one hoot about consumers. It is just about defending their incompetent, corrupt member business.

Does anyone under 75 think that a BBB rating is a still valid way to vet a business?
Good god.
They’re like a 17 year old dog that can barely walk but still doesn’t die. Someone or something needs to put them down. It’s time. I am looking forward to the day when the BBB goes the way of the dodo. Give up BBB.
Complicit In Fraud
eBay, via a company called Crampton and Moore, stole £219 from my temporarily infirm mother (her situation explained to both C&M and eBay as a means to enthusing their departure from a life of theft).
I had heard about the BBB from a blogging site based in the U.S and there were good things said, and so, seeing that eBay's head office runs out of CaliforneBay I decided to approach them over the matter.
The case was open and shut. The trader had sold a DAB-radio with a mark on the case and refused to admit the fault. eBay then promised in writing that they would return the funds by a certain date but didn't when that day came. The Financial Ombudsman would not get involved with the excuse that eBay is its own marketplace and Action fraud wouldn't assist because they said that the matter comes under civil-law.
What did the BBB do? They closed the case without review. Printed proof of eBay's statement that they would refund my mother and admittance from eBay that they should have returned the funds, post-appeal, obviously too much of a threat for the State's 'good name'.
The BBB defends monopolies, it defends itself; what it doesn't do, is defend victims of fraud.

Thank you to BBB I’ve got my funds back that was holding from a Company!
I live in Italy so there was no chance for me to getting attention from the company that was holding my money despite their ToS and the company’s support was ignoring all my messages. Thanks to BBB I’ve got attention from that company and the holding funds was then released! Thank you so much to BBB!
THEY'LL EMAIL ME THAT THERE'S A…
THEY'LL EMAIL ME THAT THERE'S A RESPONSE, BUT BY THE TIME I GET TO IT, IT SAYS CASE CLOSED BECAUSE I DIDN'T READ THE MESSAGE ON TIME.
I CALLED THE WRONG LOCATION, AND THE WOMAN FROM THE CO SPRINGS OFFICE WAS VERY RUDE.
THEY'LL LATER REQUEST I FILL OUT A HIPAA FORM BUT, IT'S A POP-UP AND I CAN'T EVEN PRINT IT OUT.
IF PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW IF IT'S WORTH COMPLAINING TO THE BBB, NOT SO MUCH. NOT AFTER ALL OF THIS.
Don’t bother!
Don’t bother!
I’ve wasted months with this lot for absolutely no resolution or support from them. They literally pass on your comments to the company you have raised a complaint against and do nothing. It close your complaint leaving it unresolved with no support
I don’t actually understand what the point of BBB is other than to waste peoples time.
I’m seeking legal advise against the company I raised a complaint about and now BBB for their false advertisement and useless behaviour.
I never thought I would be reviewing…
I never thought I would be reviewing the BBB until now. Long time small biz owner who paid for BBB membership and accreditation for years. A+ rated always. I am 84 yrs old and had hip replacement in Oct 2023. I was hospitalized and then in assisted living for 7 weeks and returned home Dec 20th 2023. I find emails threating me from the BBB for violation of trademark infringement for displaying the BBB logo I have always displayed. Angry I reached out to the BBB and no lone returned my calls. I should also add my A+ rating dropped to an F rating while I was gone. Finally I spoke to their legal department and because I missed 2 months payments to them while in the hospital they dropped my accreditation and rated my business an F now. They said I can re apply in 30 days. There is no way in hell I will ever be a BBB small business subscriber ever again. This is so unprofessional on so many levels it makes my blood boil.
Misplaced Reviews
READ THROUGH THESE REVIEWS. You'll quickly see how many of them are not reviews of the BBB, like they should be. Especially if you look at the 5 star reviews. Most of them are about other companies and the poster misplaced them here. As of right now, it says that 10% are 5 star reviews for the BBB. If you ignore the incorrectly placed reviews, there is NO WAY it's as high as 10%. I'm guessing it would be closer to 5%. That's just an interesting quirk in the data that I suppose is going to happen when you have people who aren't really paying attention to what they're doing adding rating data to a separate rating system. One 5 star genius in here placed really poorly formed negative text about Trustpilot under a 5 star review for BBB. He called Trustpilot a "want to be BBB', yet he has posted many other reviews on it, all being one star. Obviously an extremely dissatisfied guy.
too corrupt to be trusted
Don't trust them! This shameless company shelters any paying member. It will remove your honest reviews for these paying members, no matter how bad they actually are. On the other hand, many decent companies got F in its website due to lack of membership payment.
The website is a joke
The website is a joke. the info on any buainess as officially decided by the BBB is Confusing and apparently contradictory. In bold red letters it says A+ rating the highest rating avalible at the BBB. This business is not accredited. It says this is not accredited twice on the page To me you cant give something your highest marks for being the best. With no higher rating possible, while stating dont trust the business we have not accredited them. No explanation is made about what accreditation is But it does clearly state that customer reviews are not used in determininhg the rating. The BBB is about understanding what dealings a business has had and what people have experienced with it. But lets be clear . If your writing your complaint where other visitors to the site will be able to read your complaint . this makes it a review not a complaint . Your negative experience you came to log for others to se and steer clear means this opinion will not count in the evaluation of the businesse's Reputation and business practices. If your writinhg about it your not complaining to them about it. this rating can literally be the highest possible rating because no reviews counted as complaints while they are sure to tell you this business is not accredited with no explanation of the difference between the two. Lastly There is absolutely no way to leave feedback to the BBB about itself. Even the attempt to file a complain about them to them with their own form. is stopped when you dont have a proper location for the BBB website. The complaint form cannot be filed or even begun until the right location for the business has been found in their database. TRhis website Is the worst excuse for a business practices tracking site that can possibly exist . Do yourself a favor and just hit yourself with a hammer to the head . You will get more value out of that act
I was going to list on BBB.org that the…
I was going to list on BBB.org that the "Center for Autism & Related Disorders" Facility does not exist within Forest Grove, Oregon.
I have walked over to there to verify, and have verified that there was no sign indicators that this Autism Support Facility would have existed.
What A Shame, Forest Grove, Oregon that you have torn down my Favorite Autism Support Facility!😭
Now What? Should I go looking for another Autism Support Facility?🤷❓
Can't be trusted
The BBB is a total scam and will continue to give the most corrupt companies around 5 stars because they are paying members of the BBB. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because you can weed out some bad companies but only the ones who don't pay off the BBB. My personal advice would be to either research thoroughly or avoid companies that advertise they are members of the BBB this apparently only means they pay them off to get good reviews.

BBB kept removing my negative review of an automotive transport company who refused to honor their quote to move my van. It turns out the transport company is a paying member of BBB. BBB is not looking out for customers
Avoid.
Advise: Get your bank to issue a stop payment on the BBB because the BBB won't honor it's confirmation of cancellation with you.
Context: Signed up, was immediately hammered with sales calls from all kinds of orgs, got 1 potential client email all year and dozens and dozens of sales calls and emails. Was told I could not cancel for 12 months, called 4 offices to get contact info on how to cancel, had to schedule a call with my "Dedicated billing specialist," who is a well trained retention hound, was told my account was cancelled, THEN got charged for MORE than my previous monthly amount.
The Better Business Bureau, BBB is a sham!
I just want to let people know from past experience Better Business Bureau, known as BBB is a privately owned for profit company that makes its money from corporation fees and will give them an A= rating for about 400 dollars a year no matter how bad they are. In short BBB is a sham and the consumer should never trust what they say about any business and their services.
Cyber protection racket.
How can you trust a company that sells it's seal of approval.
Based on my experience, when you file a complaint on the BBB site, you can wait months with no results. BBB will inevitably find a reason to close your request. Notorious scammers display the BBB seal and have nothing but glowing reviews. BBB is actually a cyber protection racket.
Useless
Useless. They removed my complaint bc my management company (who is using my HOA like a puppet regime) said my complaint pertained to the HOA and not them. Nice little loophole to never accept responsibility. So my management company and the BBB are useless.

Just watched documentary on this were scammers put in fake 5 star reviews, shocking, disgusting, these people steal avings from the elderly so until all fake scammer reviews are deleted your getting another 1 star review. Make me feel sick.
completely useless company
completely useless company. Have used them twice so far, presented valid and informative reasons for my complaints with 2 companies after unsuccessfully trying with them directly, JLAB and Amazon(one of their sellers actually) and both times I was refused by the companies and BBB did nothing but transfer my messages. Whatever the company you are complaining about says, goes. They are not there to fight for you or point out the validity of your issues so what is the ...... point?
Mandates USA zip code in report form for non-USA citizens.
Unable to file a complaint against Activision because its form requires that I have a US zip code despite it allowing me to state that I'm from GBR.
