Working for BaxterStorey at Sky Osterley has been an extremely difficult experience. Staff are consistently overworked and undervalued. There are never enough people to cover the workload, and employees are often expected to do the job of two or three others. Despite working full 8-hour shifts, breaks are minimal, and those on early shifts often don’t even get time for breakfast.
The company’s attitude toward staff is disappointing — management can be dismissive and unapproachable, often treating employees as if they’re replaceable rather than valued team members. Requests for support or fair treatment are frequently ignored, and promised sick pay is not always honored.
It’s frustrating to see this happening within a workplace like Sky, which genuinely values its own employees, while BaxterStorey fails to show the same respect to its staff. The lack of care and communication has created a toxic and demoralizing environment where people feel more like numbers than human beings.
BaxterStorey would greatly benefit from improving staffing levels, ensuring fair treatment, and building a culture of respect and open dialogue. Until then, I would advise others to think carefully before accepting a role here.
Never heard of this company and never visited their sites yet they have managed to charge me £5.00 for nothing! Fraud claim raised with the bank but this company is incredibly suspect and by charging me money for never having entered their premises is wasting my time. Stay away from baxter story.
Visited the cafe at B&Q Poole and was extremely disappointed. I ordered a regular black coffee an a chocolate croissant. I was cherged over £5 despite a very large sign saying" any regular coffee and croissant £4.80" The croissant was stale and rock solid so I returned it and pointed out the sign with the cheaper price. The lady behind the counter then said "it was down to me to say about the cheaper price"! She obviously thought that I worked there! I got a refund but will not be returning do not eat here!
All HR care about is asking for 'personal pronouns', not a serious company.
Would give zero. Asd son left baxterstorey due to poor management and allowance of stalking, harassment and bullying (can provide staff managers name for this. Ps: look on social media). Withholding hours worked in final pay. This company is a JOKE. I’ll be informing their client list of exactly what goes on. Starting with bae systems.
AVOID. They discriminate against those with protected characteristics and disabilities.
Words cannot describe how awful of a company they are. I finished working with them mid August. Even to this day I figure on gov website that I'm employed at baxter
Lazy people doing nothing although I sent multiple emails. Their hr staff is lying saying that I need to check on a computer not iphone for the documents. Obviously they do not care as there are no documents there.
Think twice before you choose to do business or work for them.
