Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of the products, frequently mentioning issues like rotten vegetables, a lack of expected ingredients such as fish or meat, and an unpleasant taste described as watery or peppery. People also felt that the products offered poor value for money, especially given the perceived decline in quality compared to previous experiences. Baxter's own Fray Bentos Pies since 2011. I've been buying them for over 20 years, they've always been great value for money, plenty of lean meat, gravy and thick Puff pastry. Price hasn't varied much... See more

Don’t buy the mint sauce!

Just had the mint sauce after announcing to my husband “all mint sauce is the same”! How wrong could I be! It’s disgusting, tastes synthetic and like peppermint. I’ve bought supermarket own brands before and they’ve been fine, I thought a brand like Baxter’s would be superior but it’s really isn’t!

Ruined my lamb

Ruined my lamb. Tastes awful. Wondered if something on my plate was off! Overpowering, "perfumed", and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. How on earth was this passed by taste quality control. Always bought Baxters mint sauce before...never again!

New improved recipe!!!?

New improved recipe - Coleman’s mint sauce = Peppermint mouthwash with the consistency of silt from a drain. Bought this because the store had no Coleman’s. Ruined my lamb dinner. My wife sniffed it and refused to put it on her plate. Well done her! Went straight in bin.

One star is a compliment for Mint Sauce

One star is a compliment, the mint sauce is disgusting, tastes like peppermint - ruined my meal, how they can say it’s improved is beyond me it’s vile. I am quite upset about how it’s ruined my meal after spending all day cooking it, i dread to think what my husband is going to say after a 14 hour work day!!

The new “improved” mint sauce.

The new “improved” mint sauce is possibly one of the foulest things to ever despoil my dinner plate. Completely ruined my evening meal yesterday as I put it all over my greens not thinking to do a taste test first. I mean, what could go wrong, it’s mint sauce how can you mess that up? Believe me Baxter’s have managed it and for it to be this bad I can only assume they’ve done it on purpose as some sort of practical joke. I assume it is made from recycled chewing gum they’ve scraped off the pavement outside Baxter’s HQ.

1 star is 1 star too many for this jar of culinary evil. Sort it out!

Mouthwash Mint Sauce

Got a jar of Mint Sauce to have with a Lamb Dinner and it was disgusting and tasted like mouthwash. Shocked that this recipe ever got passed by a quality check. Jar is going in the bin.

What have Baxters done to their…

What have Baxters done to their "improved recipe" mint sauce... it was absolutely horrible!. The other reviews are right it tastes like spearmint something as strong as you would put in toothpaste. I made a mint yoghurt to go over chicken tikka and it all had to go in the bin including the jar of spearmint sauce!!

Truly disgusting "mint" sauce

Baxters "mint" sauce is truly disgusting it tastes like spearmint! I believe they may have used this variety of mint instead of the traditional more normal mint variety. It ruined our dinner and the jar was promptly binned!!! This shouldn't be called "mint sauce" it should be renamed "spearmint sauce" And it should also be described on the jar as such

An absolutely shocking p*** take

An absolutely shocking p*** take. A pie lid with a thin layer of gravy at the bottom. Literally a bit of slop - no filling whatsoever. Clearly a race for the bottom in how cheaply they can produce this product, total junk.
