great service overall, reasonable prices and great quality. Sometimes delivery takes longer than stated and VAT invoice requests are ignored, or not sent otherwise it would be 5 stars

Ordered a battery arrived damaged after…
Ordered a battery arrived damaged after 3 days of waiting a reply got a reply (by email as they don’t answer the phone) asking if that’s how it arrived and then after another 24 hours got another response asking if I was sure if that’s how it arrived. After nearly a week of trying to resolve the matter , delayed responses makes it longer until getting a replacement which I got told I had to wait for the other to collected first and If it wasn’t before 3 it wouldn’t be dispatched until the next day
Very poor product and no customer support
I purchased a battery from Battery Group Limited on 30/10/2025 (Order Number: 2011907). After just 2.5 months, the battery failed. It has low wattage and started leaking acid inside my car, damaging several parts, which is dangerous.
I contacted the company more than 10 times by email and made 3 phone calls, but received no response. Despite their big advertising and company name, they are not helpful when there is a real issue.
After my experience and seeing many similar negative reviews, I would not recommend this company.
Ordered battery for my van
Ordered battery for my van
Came the next day, fantastic service all round.
Very poor company and worse customer service
Paid extra for 2–4 working day delivery. Order was placed on a Saturday and delivered the following Monday, which was 6 working days later.
I contacted the company requesting a refund of the delivery charge only (not the product), but this was repeatedly refused, with delivery times described as “guidelines” despite charging for a faster service.
As a result, I now have to go through my bank to recover the delivery cost for a service not provided as described.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend using this company, particularly if you are paying extra for delivery.
Ordered an Exide car battery via amazon…
Ordered an Exide car battery via amazon from this company at the beginning of December for it to be fitted when our car was being serviced but garage phoned me straight away saying the battery isn't charged and when they tried to charge it up it was still no good, I then spent right up to Christmas arranging for it to be collected for a return and a refund and they charged me £24.99 for them to arrange a collection but on 3 occasions no one turned up, eventually it was collected on 30th December after threatening to get things sorted with amazon, its now over a fortnight since it was collected and I'm still waiting for a refund. I will never use this company again.
I ordered battery online on Thursday…
I ordered battery online on Thursday and payed the extra £24.99 for express delivery, i received an email of DX (delivery company) informing me it will arrive on Monday, after calling DX up they informed me it’s not on express delivery because battery group sent it as standard.
Ive emailed them twice with no reply so
I’ve been calling battery group today (Monday) since 9:10am and still got no answer just a very short wait with music and then voicemail so I’ve decided to click the sales department option (that option gives you 15 minutes of music before voicemail).
TERRIBLE COMPANY
Purchased battery as pictured and described, received a different battery that they say is the same as the one pitcured. Amanda the CS agent, has nothing but excuses and refuses to help.
Item also had delivery problems, after promises, advise and over 2 hours of phone calls, the item wasn't even out for delivery on the day I was promised, so waiting in and hanging around lost me a lot of money. Battery group aren't interested, even though my contract and delivery agreement is with them..NOT DX. they blame couriers and any other excuse, but yet the Consumer Rights act 2015 says THE BATTERY GROUP ARE LIABLE. Looks like court action is required, so hey ho...I will keep you updated as this company and their director needs to be taught a lesson
Failed Delivery & Refund
I ordered a Victron Battery Charger by priority delivery which I paid extra for. The item has never arrived. Royal Mail tracking shows a picture of a parcel being given to the occupant of a car, The GPS tracking shows on the road outside the property next door.
Royal Mail have not delivered the requested address.
That is Royal Mails error, not the Battery Group. However the way they are handling this is terrible. They are refusing a refund saying various excuses, the parcel has been delivered, waiting for courier to investigate, no refund due etc.
My next task is to put a claim In to the small clams court. Amber from The battery group is utterly useless and just stalling and making excuses,
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
This is a Mickey mouse type of company
This is a Mickey mouse type of company. They use a poor courier that says they will deliver on time but then they deliver several days later. They will not refund you no matter what.
I will not be ordering from this bedroom company ever again. Neither should anyone else. You have been warned.
Fast delivery
Fast delivery, really light battery, came well packaged and charged ready to go
Was ok
Was ok. Website wasn’t clear on how long a 24 hour next day would be. But it was over Xmas … could have done with knowing so I didn’t pay £22 for the service.
Terrible packaging
Terrible packaging. Battery arrived damaged and polystyrene balls everywhere. If you're in the online battery market at least figure out the best way to ship an item so it doesn't turn up broken!
Never called me after messages
I wanted a leisure battery for my caravan and, living locally, wanted to collect it. Their site said that you had to call sales first, so I did. 20 minutes and no answer then went to voicemail. Tried again, 20 minutes and then again to voicemail. This time I left a message with contact details. I also filled in the contact form on their website. Never received a call back. They obviously do not have very good systems in place or do not want to sell batteries.
Totally fantastic service
Totally fantastic service. Product easy to find, competitively priced.
Actually arrived next day (after only paying standard rate just after the 3pm
Cut off, AND over Xmas!!)
Super impressed.
Really helped us out.
Total ripoff company
Total ripoff company. Bought a varta battery off battery group, it failed after 6 months. Supposedly has a 5 year warranty, they made excuses not to honour the warranty after having battery back for testing. They said it had discharged too much, l had been on a long drive the previous day. There is nothing wrong my alternator, l had it tested at halfords. I put a new battery on and have had no problems. They have done me out of £90+. I would not buy one online again, too much hassle if you have issues with a car battery.
I phoned up to ask about a battery for…
I phoned up to ask about a battery for my car and the lady was very helpful and answered all my questions. I then felt really positive about buying a battery and the lady sorted it all out for me. My battery arrived well packaged and on time and fitted perfectly. The price was a lot lower than the shops and I got a 5 year guarantee too, excellent service I honestly recommend battery group.
Disgusting
Came to my truck, been parked up a few days...nothing.
Took batteries off (×2 24v) charged both only one was good. took the 4 months old one back as it wasn't holding charge, they kept it 5 days, got it to hold charge but told me they couldn't say if it would hold voltage under load then told me i had no warranty on this now as the vehicle caused the issue.
Would not go back
