I have adopted over 10 rescue dogs & have to say Battersea was by far the best experience I have had.
Applied Thursday, got call Friday & arranged viewing for Saturday. Took my dog along & meet was very well done. No rushing & thorough.
Was easy to adopt & got lots of info, enough food for fortnight, collar & lead.
Great folder with everything you need.
Got a follow up call a week later & all great.
Fab.

I hate to leave reviews like this
I hate to leave reviews like this , especially when you do some great work but i have to say one of your staff members on Friday 6th March in Crufts was beyond rude to me and my family. He called us to come over as we were passing ( we were leaving) and i politely declined and said no thank you and we continued to walk away. I could then hear him making rude comments about me to another member of your staff on the stall and sniggering. Will definitely be avoiding your stall if you are at Crufts next year. No one deserves to be subjected to that type of behaviour.

Incredible experience
The entire team were amazing and incredibly helpful. From the first phone call saying they had a kitten for us to the follow up to find out how our first night was and how he has settling in.

Outstanding Care and Support from Start to Finish
Our experience with Battersea has been outstanding. The love, care and professionalism shown by every member of staff was truly impressive. From the first introduction to the comprehensive welcome pack, the information provided about how to support and train our new pet was incredibly valuable and reassuring.
It’s very clear that the dogs are well looked after and genuinely cared for while they are at Battersea. We felt supported throughout the process and never rushed or pressured.
We would absolutely choose to rehome from Battersea again and are so grateful for everything they do ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Battersea are always so helpful
Battersea are so helpful with giving advice and support every step of the way. Their re-homing team is always there if needed.
I have fostered many cats for Battersea, I highly recommend the role and everyone is always so supportive.
So now I have been paired with my 'forever' cat and we are both very happy!

Re-home if you can, please.
I have just re-homed my fourth Battersea Dog, three previously from Battersea Old Windsor and my latest addition to the family was from Battersea Central. I cannot praise enough the love and care that is given to all of the cats and dogs from the wonderful team of Battersea staff. They give the best advice and have great knowledge regarding each individual animal that they are concerned with. I encourage people to re-home rather than buy a pup or kitten, there are so many dogs and cats that need loving, safe homes. I am so lucky to have had such wonderful dogs over the last 30 years from Battersea, even if you can’t re-home help can always be given by sponsoring a kennel or donating directly. Thank you Battersea for all that you do, I am forever in your debt. 🐾🐾🐾

Battersea is a globally renowned animal welfare charity, and our influence now stretches far beyond our physical centres as we strive to build a better world for dogs and cats, sharing our expertise with rescue and rehoming organisations across the globe and supporting them through our grant making. Battersea’s organisational strategy includes plans to grow the number of dogs and cats we help by expanding our direct services and improving the wider animal welfare sector in the UK and internationally via our Academy and Grants programme and through campaigning on animal welfare issues. Executive pay at Battersea reflects the market rate for comparable jobs in comparable organisations of a similar size and complexity, the level of knowledge, skills and experience required, and the responsibilities and accountabilities associated with each role, and is benchmarked regularly. Our pay policy aims to help Battersea recruit and retain talented individuals to lead and further develop our rapidly growing organisation. Their salary is determined by Battersea’s Governance & Nominations Committee of the Council of Trustees, a group of senior experienced professionals who voluntarily give their time to provide governance and oversight to the charity.
Desperate for People But No Dogs Apparently Available?
I wanted to support them and get a dog now that I am retired and don't have to leave them alone. I also wanted to adopt rather than buy from a puppy farm or risk other sources because their dogs need someone. They had bombarded me for months with adverts showing dogs that were looking for homes yet, over two months later, I was contacted and told they were still trying to match me but to look elsewhere if I wanted a dog sooner. Why? This implies that the dogs shown are abandoned in kennels with no effort to match them?

We never felt pressured to make a decision without time to discuss what we wanted to do. And we appreciate all the backup which Battersea have place to support us. Adopting a dog can have it's challenges but when you are dealing with caring professional people a phone call away, it gives you the confidence to persevere, knowing you will end up with a life time companion.

A very smooth engagement process - great care in matching our family to the right dog - expertly supported by Alice during a first meeting with our family (including our dog) - the support offered by the Battersea Old Windsor team once we got our new charge home has been amazing - we are all very happy :)

Great rehoming experience
We saw our little dog online late one evening just before Christmas and registered our interest - we had a call from Battersea on Christmas Eve to tell us they thought we’d be a good match. We were delighted to go and meet and bring home our 4 month old puppy a few days after Christmas. Everyone we dealt with at Battersea Windsor was very helpful and you could see their compassion for the dogs in their care. The whole procedure was very thorough and everything was explained carefully to us. We are really delighted with our little dog and feel very lucky to have found him and give him a loving home.

Professional team who really care
Professional team who really care. We had a perfect match and so pleased with our new family member. Battersea have been so supportive and kind and really helpful to ensure our new dog is settling in and offering guidance when needed.
Our experience when visiting was impressive and professional. We felt supported and part of the decision making which is so important to the dogs that are rehomed.
