Really poor returns experience

Placed an order towards the end of February for two electric thermostats for my towel rails. I couldn’t get my builder in until yesterday when he told me they were the wrong ones, so I asked bathcentre if I could return them even though we were a couple of weeks outside their 30 day return window.

After requesting photos of the boxed items, Ameena replied with a short email denying the return due to it being outside the 30 days and offered no help, as if she couldn’t be bothered, that’s how it came across to me!

No offer of help considering the circumstances. Now I am stuck with two items I can’t use and they have lost the opportunity to resell two brand new items that will ultimately end up in the skip!

What an absolute load of nonsense - why does it even matter if it is two weeks outside the return window - I don’t understand their logic. Poor customer service to not even try to help.

Will not be using these clowns again.

Ordered basin towel rail valve combo

Ordered basin towel rail valve combo. Did not arrive on time, basin missing, valves incorrect. Had to chase and chase for a replacement , valves arrived finally. Basin took longer faulty basin ! So delayed and cost for plumber again. Still awaiting basin. Told delivery today. Courier arrived to collect the basin ! Called office no replacement for another week ! Could not take basin as still fitted. I have three kids and need it ! Total mess with order , communication , delivery etc. I have sent yet another email as this is costing me money with cancelling plumbers etc. I require a full refund as this is clearly a faulty product and horrendous company to deal with. I will update review to keep you all informed until resolved.

Wall panels for bathroom.

I went into the store for advice. Was treated by a very nice lady. She worked out what I needed and how much it would cost. I went away to discuss colours with my wife. Went back the next afternoon. Explained our preferences. Placed the order. With a very knowledgeable young man. I Explained where to put the goods as we would be at work. I was given a time frame with a view to delivery on the Friday. All I can say is professional, honest service from both party's, everything like clockwork, delivery on the day and put in the place specified, I would recommend this company to anyone. Thanks Guys you where brilliant. Long may it continue.

Pleasant experience

I recently purchased 4 bathroom panels from Bathcenter, however when they arrived they weren’t the correct colour as advertised. With my bathroom fitters due in just a few days, this was a pretty stressful situation.

I went back to Bathcenter to discuss it, and they completely agreed with my concerns. They handled it really well, offering a full refund and even giving me a small discount on the replacement panels, which were actually more expensive.

Ameena was the person I dealt with throughout and she was brilliant from start to finish, really responsive, helpful and easy to deal with. She made what could have been a stressful situation much easier.

I’ve now received my refund and I’m also currently waiting on a PayPal refund for one of the replacement panels I didn’t end up needing. Everything has been handled smoothly.

Overall, they’ve been massively helpful and sorted everything I needed. My bathroom looks amazing now, and I can’t stress enough how good these guys have been….especially Ameena. She’s a star 👍

FANTASTIC QUALITY PRODUCTS & SERVICE

It's always risky buying stuff like this online but the quality of all the products we bought (over £2000 worth) is superb.

Also, customer service have been fantastic and quick to respond to any queries I had (especially Ameena).

Highly recommend this company.

I honestly can’t fault BathCenter when…

I honestly can’t fault BathCenter when it comes to ordering and delivery. The website is easy to use, the prices were very competitive, and the delivery was excellent and fast. From a purchasing point of view, everything felt smooth and professional.

Unfortunately, the products themselves have been a real disappointment, especially considering I paid for what was supposed to be one of the better options.

The Beaufort Biscay bath is out of shape. Once the legs were fitted and the bath levelled (as per instructions), the curved front corner sits out by around 4mm, even though it’s level along both walls. The bath panel supplied isn’t designed to be cut down in height, which makes this a big issue. This problem wouldn’t have been apparent until installation, yet the instructions state the bath cannot be returned once fitted, which feels very unfair.

On top of that, the bath waste supplied is not suitable for this bath. The bath itself is so thick that the waste thread simply isn’t long enough to tighten properly.

So while the ordering and delivery experience was excellent, the quality of the products, particularly for the price paid, has been extremely disappointing.

Waterproof shower panels

Waterproof shower panels. Delivery was a bit pricey but competitively priced panels and bad reviews of the other company made my choice. Through no fault of Bathcentre the package was damaged by the delivery company. A quick phone call told me not to accept it. I took photos also. Bathcentre quickly re sent a new order, going as far as to deliver it themselves. Perfect customer service. Would definitely use them again.

Great communication

When we ordered our bath, the website stated a couple of days for delivery. We were contacted within 24 hours to say item was out of stock and unfortunately could not be delivered for about a month. We were given the opportunity to cancel with full refund, or wait. We decided to wait, and was contacted two weeks later to say our bath was now ready for delivery. We agreed a delivery date and our bath arrived around 8:30 am. We have had a follow up call to make sure everything was as expected. We were very pleased with the Bath centre. They could not have done more.

Delivery took forever to come, way beyond their advertised delivery times with no call or explanation from them.

After calling numerous times over a few days the delivery eventually arrived and was wrong. I sent all the items back and won't be using this company again.

Bathcenter Recommendation

Great quality bath and timely helpful delivery

I purchased the Beaufort strengthened version of a standard rectangular shower bath. Haven't finished installing this but so far it looks promising. It is as they claim as structurally rigid as a metal bath. The base thickening is well thought out with a thinner circular band around the plug hole to permit use of Mc alpines top access shallow bath waste fitting, which has a high level outlet so this is an important feature to provide access for tightening the compression fitting on the outlet. It's quite heavy - 58kg so I was pleasantly surprised when the delivery guy helped me get it not just inside the building but upstairs to the location where I needed it.

Flimsy plug chain

I bought a bath with taps and waste. Had one bath, pulled the plug out and the chain broke. The link between plug and chain is flimsy/easily bent. I asked for a partial refund and they refused because I didn't photograph it. They deny it is a common problem. I have fixed with a keyring. Not an ideal finish.

Excellent customer service

I ordered some mermaid shower panels from Bathcenter, at a very good price. Due to several issues and delays with our bathroom fitting, I had to initially cancel my order and then reorder at a later date. Once the bathroom was finally fitted, I had a spare panel that I needed to return.

For both times of contacting bathcenter about this order, I received excellent customer service. They were very friendly and helpful, and resolved my issues very efficiently. I will definitely use them again in future.

Customer Service

The process of ordering online was very easy and my new bath and bath panel were delivered within 2 working days. When I discovered I hadn't ordered the correct bath panel, due to confusion with the information on the Bathcenter web site, Ameena in customer services was very helpful and efficient and resolved everything. I am a very happy customer and would definitely use and recommend the Bathcenter again.
