Barrabes nació en el pueblo de Benasque, en los Pirineos.
En los años 90 decidimos abrir, en ese pequeño y aislado lugar, la tienda de montaña más grande de España, entre las más grandes de Europa.
Nos atrevimos porque apostamos por algo que, entonces, sonaba a magia: INTERNET: vimos una oportunidad única para quienes, como nosotros, vivían en las montañas.
Nuestra tienda online fue de las primeras de Europa en abrirse, en cualquier ámbito, y pronto fuimos una referencia en el comercio online.
A día de hoy, seguimos siendo líderes en el sector porque nunca hemos dejado de intentar mejorar y hacerlo lo mejor posible. Pero también porque nuestra incansable pasión por la montaña nos impulsa a que así sea.

Won't ever buy from Barrabes again
Won't ever buy from Barrabes again. Barrabes messed up my order by giving me the wrong pack (i ordered a female specific pack and they gave me a male one). When I spoke with their customer service they said the pack I ordered doesn't hace a women specific type yet it is listed on their website.
When I asked them to explain why they sell the pack I ordered on their website, but shipped me a different one they stopped responding to me and I haven't heard anything more from them. This was my first and last order from Barrabes. I will never do business with them again and would give them 0 stars if I could. Don't buy from Barrabes.

Thank you for taking your time to evaluate our site. We are sorry you feel you have not been responded to, but we have replied to all the messages received from you in 1-2 business days maximum. As explained by our customer service team, there is no difference between the Medium and W model for women. The Rodcle site has this pack listed in the women's section and also in the general canyoneering section as an M. By their classification the M is the same as a women's model. There is nothing else specific about it being a women's model, just the smaller size. If the pack doesn't suit you, you are more than welcome to return it for a refund, but the pack you received is correct. Please contact our customer service team for instructions on how to proceed with your return if you wish to do so.

Our tent was received on time, well packed. We have mounted the tent in our living room to check it the day it was received. Really nice and large as announced. But we discovered that a rope tensioner was missing. We will see with the Nordisk support how they manage this...

Truly fantastic service
I found a great skijacket on Barrabes. Barrabes site indicated "cannot be delivered to NL", but I opened the chat screen and real human being (not a bot) helped me, indicating that the shipment could be organized manually. He helped me step by step through the whole payment process, which was secure as well. The jacket came all the way from a Spanish skiresort to NL within 5 working days. Awesome experience, best online shopping I ever experienced. A big compliment, and keep it going.

Great Experience
I found Barrabes online while looking for an Alpine Touring set-up (Dynafit boots and bindings) and their prices were phenomenal. I ordered and the delivery was very fast. Even the shipping was fair from Europe to the USA. The products arrived just as ordered. I would very much recommend Barrabes to anyone in the USA looking to get quality A-T gear at great prices. Keep it up Barrabes! I will order from you again if you have what I’m looking for.
