Fitting shutters in whole house is big financial decision so we are very glad that we decided to go with this guys. Absolutely fantastic job. Professional Fitting and care. Dan was brilliant and very approachable, all was explain to us at the beginning so we knew that it will be long wait for arrival of the actual shutters. No hidden costs or disinformation. Rooms looks amazing. Thank you.

We have used Dan for a while now as a subby to help with blind and shutter installations. We would not recommend him at all.

After a number of complaints from customers we checked his work and found that he was cutting corners all the time. In some cases also not fitting blinds in a child safe way.

The most recent poor job was a set of 6 wooden Shutters which were cream. They were fitted with black screws and without using plugs, just screws direct into plaster. And no nails glue! After only a few weeks use they were coming away from the walls. We had to send one of our experienced fitters out to take them all down and fit them again but properly this time. This was one of many jobs where corners were cut. We would not recommend you use this company if you are looking for someone who is professional and reliable. They are far from that. The quality of workmanship is very poor. We know that Dan will respond in a defensive way and will not take responsibility for the poor work but these comments are from a person who has had 25 years in the industry and cares about customer service.

Dan did a fantastic job and I love my new shutters. He kept me informed from the moment the order was placed and following delivery he quickly fitted the shutters. I would not hesitate to recommend Barnsley shutters and blinds.

Despite contacting them with regards poor workmanship and honouring their warranty, nothing, DO Not trust this company, specifically Dan and his father,
It matters not whether legal action was taken, he point being this is what Trust Pilot is for, letting customers share their experiences good and bad. The owner, Dan know full well that the issue wasn’t “just” caps, the one door still doesn’t work properly and the only response received was a text message saying Dan was ill and would be in touch when better!
The fact they haven’t been in touch until now speaks volumes, let other people make their own minds up, ours is clear do not go near this company!!

At first the fitter sounded OK, turned up on time and answered his phone etc. Not until he fitted the blinds did we realise things would quickly change! After he fitted the blinds and left, we closed the blinds,however they were really badly fitted and had very large gaps at the side where anybody walking past could see in. The blinds in the bay window in the bedroom were actually hanging over the radiator and not anywhere near the window sill. He said they are OK and said i thought you were putting curtains up anyway!However they are not fit for purpose.Stay clear!

Would definitely use this company again. Thank you Dan for going out your way to find us a good price for the blinds we chose. We are so pleased with the blinds
