Quality, Style, and Support!
I recently discovered BaredFootwear, an Australian footwear company that designs quality and ethically-sourced shoes that focus on comfort and style, a combination that is a rare find. Podiatrists supposedly design their shoes that feature a special footbed with metatarsal, arch, cuboid notch, and heel cup support. So far, I’ve tried their loafers (which I find extremely comfortable), the Rissa, the Turnstone sandal, the Grosbeak heel, and a couple of other heels. I have been very pleasantly surprised by the support (which you don’t usually get in stylish shoes) and the quality. In fact, this is the first time I’ve ventured back into heels in decades. I can’t wear any non-supportive heels, no matter the price point.
And yes, I’m a shoe snob. I can/won’t wear anything that doesn’t have very good footbed support, isn’t high-quality, and hasn’t been at least partially ethically sourced.
The company allows you to try multiple styles if the pair you buy doesn’t work out - free shipping. I used this service twice: once for a pair of heels that squeaked, and once for a pair that were too large in the heel cup. But to be fair, I have narrow heels.
The shoes I purchased are still new, so time will tell if they hold up well. And I have yet to try their boots or sneakers. Otherwise, I’m pretty excited that I discovered BaredFootwear.
