Being somewhat disappointed with the 45lb plates of my first order (these Olympic plates have a nice, shinny finish that chips easily and are milled to where they do NOT
fit one of my Olympic bars. I have to be alert to which bar to use when employing these plates), I was hesitant in placing a second order.

The need for additional 45lb plates along with difficulty of finding them locally, I took a chance and placed another order.

Although the packaging was all but destroyed, the plates arrived in perfect condition. Unlike the plates from my first order, the finish is durable and they fit all of my Olympic bars. I don't know the reason for the difference. Perhaps a different supplier?

Since, I ordered again another set of 45lb Olympic plates. As with the second shipment, these to came in a durable finish and fit the Olympic bars.

Packaging was pretty much trashed making me wondering the condition of. However the plates arrived in perfect condition.

If it was not for my first order, I would have rated five stars.

I recommend purchasing through Barbell Standard. Shipping was quick and the cost was very reasonable.

Another great product! I will continue to buy gym weights and equipment from you guys as I need it--and will refer others to do the same. Prices are reasonable, shipping is included with what I buy, and the products are very high quality. Cheers!

Absolutely amazing iron plates for the price. Came packaged exceptionally good and shipped surprisingly fast, got them in less than a week from when I ordered. Each plate weighed well within the 2% guaranteed tolerance the company promises which makes these the best overall iron plates for the price in the market. Great company, great prices, great shipping, great plates. I will definitely be buying a few more pairs of 45's in the future.

Bought four of their 45lbs Milled Iron plates only because they advertised as having a 17.5" diameter which would match my Rogue plates. These are clearly 17.7" inch plates! Customer service simply said "thanks for letting us know" and has not responded with any sort of return or compensation solution. If you do deadlifts with appreciable weight you already know the importance of having matching plate diameters to minimize barbell and plate wear and tear.

Admittedly, I was skeptical of Barbell Standard. I’d heard mixed reviews but decided to pull the trigger anyway. I’m glad I did. Not only did I receive beautiful plates, they were here in 2 days! One was outside of the guaranteed tolerance. Michael from customer service never flinched when I asked for a replacement. The response was “it’s on the way immediately”. I 100% would and will buy more items from them

I ordered 4 45 lb plates and only received 3. I've attempted to contact them multiple times with no response.

UPDATE - 1 star to 3 stars - they sent me the missing plate only after I posted the negative review. I had tried their support email and number previously. Frustrating it took this route to get a response.

The weight plates are great. Delivered fast and inexpensive compared to other sites that offer similar product. Very happy.

Plates are great. I was concerned they would be a mismatch set since they were sent from 2 different locations but they matched.
The barbell was advertised as having “screw thread design - prevent the clip from slipping” and “dual knurl marks.” Both of which are not true. So without the easily, visually verifiable things being inaccurate, who’s to say if the weight capacity is accurate?
Also, I made my purchase on 5/31 and paid $179 for the barbell (on sale from $199). On 6/4 I got an email advertising the barbell for $98. That stings.
Overall, however, I trust the bar will handle the weight I’m putting up. Probably wouldn’t recommend it for anyone deadlifting 585 or more just because of the uncertainty. I’ll use it to bench. Also, I received it in a week (3 day shipping was advertised but I wasn’t in a hurry).
Biggest negative: I overspent by $81 on the bar.
Biggest positive: quick delivery and quality of the plates.

Didn’t go as well as my first order. Ive had half of my order come in 3 days but the other half seems lost. Good quality as always.

Updated review. All items have been received and fully functioning. No need for a negative review.

Good product, good price, fast delivery.

Searched everywhere for 45lbs plates that were not over priced and actually available. Barbell Standard came through quickly!

Arrived in excellent condition. Exactly what I ordered (pair of 45's). Good price and good looking. Shipping was extremely fast (and free) and the plates were well packed. Very satisfied!

I will give them 5 stars. Delivery was fast and I got what I ordered. I am very pleased with the service. The only thing that was wrong what is that I am sure someone had drop the weight and there was a little chip in one of them. I am sure I did not come from the company that way probably through delivery.

I usually stick with Rogue or Rep Fitness and believed in this company and found a number of uncommon problems that made me very concerned.

Pros:
- Price is almost unbeatable due to a 10% discount code I received and the free shipping.
- The finish seems to be decent compared to all the other companies around this price range and style of plates.

Cons:
- Plates claimed to be milled and have a 2% tolerance. This was not what I found the plates to be. Found some 45s to be around as low as 42 lbs. This isn’t a big issue with a few plates but after more than 4 are on a side this can have the bar be +/- 5-10 lbs off which can be very dangerous.I have also noticed that these plates were originally from AD4M. This made it odd because the plate on the website that is shown to be weighed at tolerance does not have the logo and is from a different manufacturer.
- Customer Support is far below average. Spoke to a rep to return my plates at the PA site and after emailing him about the process he has not responded since. Asked about my shipment and still no response. Moreover, I wanted to speak to a live person but the customer support number cannot be reached and says the voicemail box has been filled.
- FedEx also should have my last plate at my house 3 days ago and nothing has updated on the site and still says pending. I do not know if they lost it, but this is very strange since they offered 2-3 day shipping and my whole order arrived either early or a day later.

Barbell Standard could be more reputable if they inspected and weighed the plates prior to sending them out. If the plates tolerance was true to your “guarantee” I wouldn’t have questioned anything, but the customer support to the false advertising led me to believe otherwise.

In hopes that this catches their attention to the numerous emails I have sent. I hope that I will eventually get my money back even though I do not know what stage I am in the return process. If not, I am stuck with plates that I do not even want.

Update: They worked with me to have the plates returned. Customer Service was delayed but true to their word. The plates are pretty good quality, delivery is fast, but QA should weigh the plates to ensure the 2% weight tolerance or at least guarantee a higher tolerance.
