Long Delivery Delay, but Baby Direct Ultimately Made It Right
I placed my order (#56454) with Baby Direct on 17 August 2025 for a gift for my grandbaby — a Rever Bebe 7-in-1 Foldable Trike (White Gold). I was advised the next day that the order was on its way from Victoria to the Gold Coast. Unfortunately, the delivery process has been a complete nightmare.
Baby Direct used Aramex, and despite having the correct address, the parcel was delayed for weeks. I emailed on 2 September because the item hadn’t arrived. It wasn’t until 5 September that I received a tracking number, and I was told the parcel only reached the Gold Coast depot on 1 September — over two weeks later.
A few days later, I was told the parcel had been returned to sender because it was “rejected by the receiver.” This was incorrect — I was overseas at the time, but my daughter was staying at my house and could have received it. I immediately confirmed I still wanted the item delivered.
Then I was told I’d have to pay an additional delivery fee to have it resent, even though the mistake was clearly on the courier’s end. After multiple emails and providing my phone number, I was eventually told on 13 October that the company would reship my order free of charge, which I greatly appreciated.
However, since then, communication has again been poor. I never received tracking details or confirmation that the replacement had even been dispatched. After following up again on 24 October (over two months after my original order), I was finally contacted by phone — only to be told I would now need to pay another delivery fee if I wanted the order sent.
At this point, it has been over 10 weeks, and my granddaughter still hasn’t received her birthday present. The level of communication, accountability, and customer service from both Baby Direct and their courier partner has been extremely disappointing.
I genuinely wanted to support an Australian business, but this experience has left me frustrated and disheartened. I hope Baby Direct reviews their processes with Aramex and improves how they handle delivery issues and customer communication — no one should have to chase an order for months, especially for a child’s special occasion............
I originally left a negative review regarding my order (#56454) placed on 17 August 2025 for a Rever Bebe 7-in-1 Foldable Trike that took over 10 weeks to resolve. The delivery was handled by Aramex, and despite the correct address, the parcel was delayed, returned, and I was initially told I’d have to pay another delivery fee — which was incredibly frustrating.
However, after further communication and speaking directly with Baby Direct, they have now agreed to reship the order free of charge and have provided a new tracking number. I really appreciate that the team took the time to review the case properly and ensured a fair outcome.
While the process was stressful and communication could have been more proactive, I’m grateful that Baby Direct ultimately did the right thing and made the effort to resolve it professionally.
