Shame you cannot give zero stars!

Probably the worst experience I have had with any company.

I cannot access the email needed for my AWS account because AWS send a verification code to the email so there is no way for me to log in.

I have tried dozens of various methods to explain this to them but they keep telling me they can only discuss billing matters once I am logged in....well I can't log in unless you help me, which they refuse to do.

Have literally given up, AWS let down Amazon majorly...sad as reputation is everything.

AWS is the worst off all time

AWS is hands down the worst service experience I’ve had. Not even leaving a review—just stating facts.

We shut down our app, our company, and our credit card. We thought all linked AWS accounts under that root were closed too. But charges kept coming—on a credit card that was already shut down.

After months of chasing, we finally heard that one of the linked accounts is still open—but tied to a different email. AWS won’t tell us which one, for privacy reasons. They gave a vague hint, but we don’t have access to that email. Maybe it was our mistake, maybe sloppy, but that doesn’t change the fact: we can’t log in, we can’t close it, and they won’t help.

So here we are: a dead company, still getting charged, with no way to stop it. For “privacy reasons.”

I’ve documented the last 4 months of back-and-forth. Nothing resolved.

What's the use of AWS Trust & Safety?

What is the point of AWS Trust & Safety? They are supposed to be the people to whom we report abuse.
I, and many others, have been badly scammed by an outfit called First Nexus, who were hosted on AWS.
I contacted AWS Trust & Safety to complain that they were hosting criminals, sending them links to government scam-watch sites that warned about them, but all they did was pass my complaints on to the scammers.
They replied “AWS customers are responsible for their activity on AWS”.
Well what if those customers are criminals, which First Nexus surely are? Doesn't AWS take ANY responsibility for that?
Seems that as long as the scammers pay their web hosting fees, AWS doesn't care what they do.

Misleading AWS "Free Tier" – $74 Charge for Almost No Use

I signed up for AWS's Free Tier to trial hosting a simple single-page website (HTML + CSS + JS). I spent a couple of days experimenting, then gave up.

I also briefly created a SQL database instance that I never used. No data, no queries, no interaction.

Weeks later, I received a $74 bill — the majority of it for background CPU credit usage I was never warned about.

There were no upfront, clear pricing details or real-time alerts. The usage was minimal and inactive.

This experience feels predatory and deceptive, especially for individuals trialling the platform.

AWS should not be advertising a Free Tier when inactive or trivial services silently accrue unexpected charges.

I've contacted support for a full reversal. No one trialling a product should walk away with a $74 punishment.

Absolutely Ridiculous Experience

Absolutely Ridiculous Experience – Amazon Should Be Embarrassed

I took the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam from home through OneVue, and it was a complete disaster.

After many studying days, struggling to find a quiet room in a library, and going through their painfully long verification process, the exam didn’t even load. All I got was an error message and then a blank white screen. Their "support" had no clue what was happening and just told me to restart my PC. Wow, genius troubleshooting!!!

Of course, restarting didn’t help. Same error. Same useless white screen. And the best part? They said they don’t know what the problem is or even if it would work on another day.
Seriously? This is a multi-billion-dollar tech company, and they deal with a company that can't figure out where the issue is coming from?
What kind of system throws a generic error without any proper error handling or logging?

And the funny part they say this problem might be from your side! How so? I passed all of your check-in exams, and when trying to reveal the questions, I get an error message "Something went wrong, please try again" Hehehe, this obviously is not from my side, and it is a server-side error. Even beginner programmers know how to catch and log errors properly.

This was just pathetic. I wasted my time, energy, and effort for absolutely nothing, and they couldn’t even give me a real answer...

I created a simple website using AWS…

I created a simple website using AWS and right after that, my project was frozen due to some kind of strict verification. While the site is frozen, I can't even access my own files. The worst part is, they didn't explain what the problem is and keep delaying the process. It's frustrating and makes AWS feel unreliable. I don’t recommend it.

AWS bad experience

I used the free version to test the features. But there are constant checks, during which my site is in a frozen state. No one will return the work until you pass these checks. It's even impossible to continue on another one.

Immediately after creating the site

Immediately after creating the site, you’ll put it for a brutal check while your site is in a frozen state. In the end, the site does not work and no one will return the files yourself until you go through this check. They like to turn off the system simply because something seemed suspicious to them. A terrible site

They just turned everything off without warning.

Hello, I am a new client 499697719505. Not long ago I registered and have been mastering this platform for several weeks. Recently I was sent a letter that I need to send my personal data passport place of residence and so on, they also indicated that I must do this before July 6, 2025. And what do you think. Today I receive a notification that our servers are completely down, and they just decided to turn them off right now without following their own instructions. As a result, we cannot get through to technical support, have not received any kind of answer for several hours, during this time all systems are down clients cannot access the sites. We will incur huge losses using Amazon Web Service. If you want to be simply disconnected without giving any reason and then ignored, of course contact this company.

AWS is no longer usable

Amazon used to be good and has continued to devolve into the worst web services company. They provide the worst support, login systems are completely broken, there is basically no way to use the service any more. I strongly advise staying away. I used AWS since it launched, but now have no choice but to completely abandon all Amazon tech services. I have lost a massive amount of data due to AWS' lack of ability to provide a functioning login service. Appalled, get your head out of the clouds Bezos.
