Waste of time and money

Order placed June 3rd. Finally refunded October 7th, after being repeatedly quoted false ship dates and requesting a cancellation/refund multiple times. Honestly just grateful I got a refund at this point.

Don’t know what they’re doin over there but they suck. BIGLY.

Plenty of other reputable, sustainable brands out there that deliver on their promises.

Absolutely Beautiful

I love this dress, well worth the wait.

They let you know it takes a while to make their products. I waited about a month, but to be honest they did update me with every question I had and it is again, well worth the wait!

Don’t believe the “ready to ship”…

Don’t believe the “ready to ship” timeline and good luck getting any replies from customer service. Emailed twice with no response. They do not give an option to call.

I ordered 2 “ready to ship” bathing suits on 9/24. It is now 10/5 and they haven’t even shipped yet. So much for having them for my beach trip

False Timelines - no items received

I was so optimistic and excited to receive my pieces. I ordered 3 outfits on August 5th for a trip in October.

Item 1: Ship date end of August
Item 2 & 3: Ship date mid September

As I patiently waited, and checked my status updates I realized the 1st week of September, nothing had changed. So I emailed customer service.

I was told everything would now ship END of September. This was still fine, as I understood things happen
and they probably wanted to ship all three pieces together.

Well…. It is now October 3rd. All three items are still in production….nothing has changed since August 5th. Customer service is not the most helpful but they did tell me once my items are completed… it can take them 4-9 days to ship it….. meaning there is no way to receive my items in time. Waiting on confirmation for them to cancel my order and provide a refund.

Essentially their timelines are not accurate. Quite frankly I don’t think I’d receive these before winter…. Which is silly as I bought them for a beach trip to Jamaica.

Incredibly disappointed. Frustrated, and annoyed at the lack of transparency, communication, and solutions.

If you can’t produce and item in 9 weeks, don’t advertise the customer will have it in 3. Absolutely absurd.

Don’t buy if you want to receive your things in a timely manner

I should have read the reviews but I was foolish and a friend sent me this website when I said I was looking for hen and honeymoon things and thought she was vouching for it. I placed the order in mid-August, it still hasn’t arrived. After a week or so of no communication, I messaged customer service to check on it and requested they split the order as 1 of the items wasn’t ready yet and I wanted the other 2 things for my upcoming hen. They said they split the order.

I messaged another 2 weeks later and they said they would contact the warehouse and try to get it to me in time, which I thought was pretty responsive. Then…silence. I messaged again a couple of weeks later and still haven’t heard back.

Anyway, I can’t comment on the items yet because I still don’t have them 1.5 months later, which could be more understandable if they just communicated things

Stop researching this shop. This is your sign to avoid it.

I read all of these reviews and still was holding on to hope. Mind you, I’ve forgiven cheap Shien clothes and made them work but that’s because it was cheap.

I paid $95 for a dress that they wouldn’t even sell at a Forever 21. The fabric is awful. They say they wait for large orders in order to reduce waste but that also means that they will make you a dress in the same swimsuit material they use for bikinis.

Don’t waste your time and money. I waited over a month for a dress that I laughed at once I opened the bag.

Now I am in the process of immediately returning the dress . We’ll see how that goes.

Do not buy from this company!

Do not buy from this company!! I placed an order in May '22 for a wedding, and it's a good thing I had a backup, because it never arrived. I also tried to reach out to customer support to no avail. Today is September 30th 2022, and I JUST received this dress in the mail. It'd been so long that I'd forgotten about it entirely. Oh well, I thought. Accidents happen, and hopefully I'll at least get a nice dress out of it. Except that the quality is abysmal and looks nothing like the photo. I never write online reviews, but I've never been so frustrated or disappointed with an order that cost me $100 when the dress itself was worth no more than $15

Complete scam

Complete scam, ordered in May and it now end of Sep. they even fought the dispute with Citibank then asked again for proof of shipment, all quiet and now I got my money back from Citibank but they wrote it off as a loss I am sure. Do not send any money to this scam website. I doubt is even from Berlin, more like a basement in Moscow.

I pre-ordered a dress on June 6th for a…

I pre-ordered a dress on June 6th for a wedding September 3rd…The estimated shipping when I first ordered said end of July, then is switched to August. Long story short, I just received the dress…it’s September 26th. I’m bummed for this company, I really liked the concept but honestly felt like I got scammed. I hope they can figure it out. I unfortunately will not be ordering from them again nor would I recommend it to others.

Still waiting. Checked USPS and the package hasn’t moved in two weeks. Wonder if there is a package. Will give til end of month, then notify AMEX and never again.

Terrible business practice. Lead times are not transparent

I wish I would have read these before I placed my order. I also wish I was able to review the actual product, but it's been almost three months and I haven't received it. I purchased my dress on July 4th. It is now the end of September. I have contacted Averie a half dozen times and gotten the same story as everyone else. I don't mind paying more or waiting longer for a handmade, high-quality product, but if the lead time is going to be MONTHS, it is absolutely terrible business practice not to be upfront with lead times. I bought this dress specifically for a wedding that is this weekend. The only good thing about this is that I didn't try to convince the other women to order from Averie so we could match. What a nightmare.

Aviod at all costs - appallingly slow delivery, poor quality, vastly overpriced goods - no refund for items returned and all my emails ignored. Truly dreadful rip off company.

Bad quality!

Reviews are not posted honestly on the website.
-beautifl designs wrong sizing.....
- results in bad fabric and sewing. Looks like a wish-product but you pay a lot.
- They don't try to set things right. Just return the item at your own cost is the answer.
- hopefully I get my refund.

TERRIBLE experience with this company

I ordered 7 suits in May and received 5 of them on Sept 14th with a packing list indicating all 7 had been included in the package. This was a huge red flag because I had already asked them to cancel the order and refund my card and it seemed this was just another way to scam my by saying they did ship all the suits and I didn't have them to return. In August, after a second email inquiring about the status of the order, I was send a "tracking number" but when I tracked the package, it said that the label had been created but no package had come into their system. As a business owner, I know I can create a shipping label whenever I want but the package has to physically be there for the shippers to put it in their system. I repeatedly emailed telling them to cancel the order and refund my card. The vacation I had ordered the suits for had long passed and got no response. When the order appeared, I immediately photographed the package of 5 suits and emailed it to them to show they didn't ship all 7 they said they did and tried to initiate a return because the suits they DID ship didn't fit. Their return portal says my order is too far out of the return window of 14 days or whatever it is. I received the package TWO days ago.
Contacting the company only generates form email responses and I cannot find a phone number to speak with anyone.
It's a shame because the suits are well made and cute prints but the company seems to be really unethical at best, but seemingly a huge scam at worst.

An absolute scam

An absolute scam. Do NOT purchase from this company! I realize they caveat long production/delivery times with a “sustainability” excuse, but you won’t actually EVER receive your order. And when you contact customer service, the best you can hope for is not a refund, but rather a store credit of $20 to purchase more scam items from them.

We have encountered some fulfillment delays with our dress collection due to overwhelming customer response and the original production timeline of three weeks provided for your order at the time of purchase did not work out in the end. For that we are extremely sorry, and we are working hard to increase capacity and efficiency to prevent delays like this from happening in the future.
Dresses of the style you purchased are made-to-order pieces, which are produced once orders are placed. I sincerely apologize if this was not more clear at the time of purchase, as our ready-to-ship items do ship within 3-5 days like you said but not our pre-order collection. We’re currently in the process of launching a new order overview system, which will show customers where their made-to-order items are in production.
I took a look into the timeline you were given via email and see that we spoke in August, where we relayed to you that this dress will ship out in early September. I’m happy to let you know that your dress is still on track to ship in this time frame.

Swimsuits disappoint, paid return shipping

I bought two swimsuits for $90 and $95 each. The pictures on the website looked stunning. But what I got does not match the pictures. The fabric looks cheap. The colors not as vibrant. The fit is not right and the white layer underneath shows near the shoulder. The zipper is really bulky plastic and forms a small bump near the bottom. These high end suits (or so I thought) came in a tight black plastic bag with no protective packaging.

I wrote customer service nicely outlining my issues and they accepted the return but I have to pay for return shipping.

Incredibly disappointed with quality and overall interaction.

We do take a lot of care at multiple stages within our production and fulfillment process to make sure that our products meet our high standards, as it is our mission to deliver high quality and sustainable fashion. Our swimsuits are made from fabrics produced in Italy from recycled ocean plastic, and our partners in Istanbul, Turkey take such care in sewing each piece. They’re really and truly talented, and we are really proud of our sustainable swim range!
I am so sorry to hear that these swimsuits were not quite the right fit for you, and once back in our warehouse our team will for sure be inspecting each piece to see if there is a construction issue, or another issue, such as sizing that has occurred here. Of course, if items are deemed faulty, we in no way make any customer pay for return shipping, and make amends by offering an exchange, store credit or other options! In general, we don’t offer free returns due to our sustainability approach, as we try to encourage really conscious buying, instead of high volume buying/returning.
About the swimsuits you have purchased in particular - our zip-up one-piece can be quite a snug fit, and our production team is actually reviewing our Zip-Up cut in general for the coming season, to work out if we may lengthen out the torso a little further, or change the sizing slightly to ensure that it will really always provide an optimal fit/torso length, while maintaining its sleek, sporty-style, athletic cut.
Also, about our packaging - I am excited to let you know, we have actually just this very week, received our brand new packaging in our warehouse, which is sustainably made from recycled plastic. It’s in our new brand-look and feel (which is looking fab!) and is in the process of being rolled out right now, and we are so excited to be sharing this with everyone in the coming weeks!
