I purchased from Aventon because they are rated very highly among the Ebike manufactors. I can honestly say I agree. Every question I had before purchasing a bike was answered in a timely manner. Aventon delivered my ebike to my nearest bike shop to be assembled a week before the expected date. The bike is beautiful, rides amazing, and is the best purchase I've made in awhile.

I had a great experience with customer service. They diagnosed the bike's problem and sent a new controller which eventually I received and was able to install with the explanations/pictures attached to the Aventon's team email. In regards to the actual issue I was experiencing, I replaced the controller and have been closely monitoring the battery percentages to see whether the issue has been resolved. The problem I was experiencing was that I would start a ride with the battery at 100%, arrive at my destination with it still in the 80% range, and then, after turning the bike off and back on, the battery reading would suddenly drop into the 40–50% range. Since replacing the controller, this same pattern has continued over my last three rides.
I’m wondering if the battery simply drains more slowly when it is above 80% and then depletes more quickly once it reaches the 50% range. By the end of the day, after riding about 32 miles, the battery is typically in the 30% range. I haven’t yet tried stopping on my ride home to test whether the battery reading changes after powering the bike back on.
With the original controller, I once stopped for about 20 minutes during my ride home, and when I turned the bike back on, the battery dropped from 33% to 22%. I was concerned I might not make it home, and I ended up arriving with only 7% remaining.

Very well built Ebike. Easy to put together as it comes mostly completed. Simple to use !! Most likely the best for the price. One thing that wasn’t clear was that it came with the stand, the computer… I bought separate ones.

I haven’t been on a bike in years. I have so enjoyed getting out and riding again. Having the ability for assist when needed is amazing. No pressure on knees! Love having the turn signals for safety too. Very well made. Would

I just bought the new Aventon Level 4 REC online after doing a little of research. Great specs and reviews and what looked like a great deal, a 0% APR via Affirm. I received the bike and then an email from Affirm stating a massive interest amount of $500 on a $2K bike. I reached out to Aventon who pointed at Affirm and both just shrugged and said “not it” and hope you didn’t already assemble the bike and ride it more than 5 miles bc then it’s not returnable, which, of course, I had done.

This is partially on me for not reading all the detailed documentation so I will eat the usury fee but this is just to warn other consumers about this practice. I actually went to a local bike shop and they say they hear this all the time about Affirm. I just wish Aventon would have just allowed me to pay cash or to switch payment method. Would have been simple. FYI, the 0% offer is still prominently displayed across the Aventon site.

My battery died 22 months into a 24 month warranty. 3 to 4 stars on that; helpful on the phone. Process is not 100% clear or consistent from customer to customer, but mine was processed, theoretically.

1 star for using solely FedEx.

They refuse to deliver on time. I have to be there to sign for it, and FedEx refuses to store it locally since its a battery.

Its been 4 attempted deliveries, I'm now chained to the front door for an unknown number of days.

Refuse to just drop it off, take a photo which in my case would be fine. Nothing's been stolen off the porch from countless Amazon purchases.

I cannot buy Aventon batteries anywhere else, I cannot have them shipped by USPS or UPS to buy a 2nd battery as a backup for the NEXT time this fails. My wife tells me I should not buy off-brand for fire hazard, but the $550 for each battery with an untold amount of sitting around...it would be a big hassle to switch bikes, but i'm considering it, mainly just due to the inability of Aventon to deliver batteries to somewhere within biking (driving?) distance where I can pick them up when delivery is just not working.

The Bluetooth doesn't work all of the time, but I called and I have a updated chip coming.. just kinda stinks because I just got it, but great bike!!! I love it!

Love the bike, especially the programmable boost levels. But I withheld a star because like so many other companies, you equipped these bikes with gearings that are grossly too high!

A bike this heavy with fat tires, intended to go off on some trails, deserves the same gearing as your new mountain bike offering does! The first thing I did is order a $30 Chinese crankset with a 32 tooth chainring to slap on my $2000 E bike. I feel slightly insulted that you made me do this! :-)

Great design, good price point, but dumb gearing!

Great bike. The lack of parts and accessories at launch though isn’t ideal. Already need some replacement items. And the fact I can’t just order them I have to contact a support agent is not something I would ask others to wait on right now.

I've only had the bike for a few weeks now. I'm still getting used to the functions for my first electric bike. I really enjoy it. I thought I was buying the rear motorbike and it was actually the mid motor little more expensive but I really like it well balanced handles the hills. Well, I do not have a throttle with it because it didn't come with it but I want to try the bike before I purchased it. I've tried some hill writing a little bit of off-road. That's where I need to get used to the modes and shifting feels like good quality bike.

I tried to change color of my bike the day after I ordered it and was refused. I will not recommend friends buy this bike. I felt it was very unfair to not allow color change especially since it was the very next day!! Very bad customer service. Posting change of color refusal on Instagram and Facebook

This E-bike is living up to all my expectations. The battery lasts weeks, which makes it super easy for everyday rides without constantly thinking about charging.
It tops out around 20 mph, but the ride is so smooth and effortless. I love being able to switch between modes—eco when I want to save power or boost when I want a little extra help.
The Bluetooth/app features are a nice bonus too. You can lock it and even set a geofence, which gives extra peace of mind.
Overall, it’s just a really solid, well-made bike that makes getting outside way more enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

Was great about returning my Pace electric bicycle. Great bike, but size was too big.
