Dale went above and beyond to sort out my issue.
I responded to a survey yesterday, which was unfortunately linked to his name. By bad review was not meant for him, he was a star (as I mentioned in my review). There had been a total system failure with our account. But I am happy to say the because of Dale's assistance we are back on track.

Oversold me massively on package that I did not need.
Had to set up multiple meetings to try and get my USA taxes filed. My support agent Jordan Grimwood was unprepared in most meetings and barely helped us progress.
The service is that bad that when I mentioned I am using Avalara to the Texas Gov and was having issues filling returns with them she said good luck, they have a really bad reputation here.
Still had outstanding reports and they rebilled me another 4 K.
Do not recommend.

Quick and Easy Resolution!
Service is great overall, but had an issue with some old users still on the system.
Iris was absolutely brilliant - sorted my issue out quickly, and was incredibly friendly and helpful on both the phone and email, ensuring my issue was resolved.

We want to draw special attention to Marika from the returns and registrations department.
We had a very strange case with our Australian GST registration and were not even able to get a hold of someone at the Australian tax office to push it forward. Things were very much at a standstill for many months until Marika took our case. She went above and beyond to meet with us and explain the situation, and then pursued Australia relentlessly until our registration was processed.
Our experiences with Avalara as a whole have been hit or miss. But Marika was a shining star, and we are very grateful for her assistance.

STAY AWAY!
A company that misinforms you extremely.
We have a business where we sell to the USA, and we were told that we needed to register in each state, which was not true.
Avalara is only interested in selling you large solutions, rather than what you actually need.
I recommend finding another provider.

£645 Penalty !!! watch out the hidden penalty & overcharges!
£645 Penalty ! Watch out the Hidden Charges ! £129 per each time you missed the deadline of 4th of each month! which they only give you 4 days to upload then they did not reply unitl 3rd of the month, so they only give us 24-48 hours to re-upload and click the button to Approve, they count the weekend too, they will penalise you for £129 per hour !
Really Bad experience with Avalara during the last year; we had been penalised 5 times in a roll which we had complaint to them that no one working during weekends if the 3rd & 4th of the month is weekends.
they do not care, They may be deliberately set up this trap to get more money to make customers late than 4th , so that they can Charge £129 !
When their team had missed the 4th May, they said it is a weekend , so they allow themselve failed with no penalty, but as soon as the customer missed a submission , then £129 penalty !
Today to add the additional information which they had filed to against this review , here is the invoice Referrence number with the Overcharges :
Please find attached the invoice IN-80915237352 for £774.00.
Hope Trustpilot will not take the honest reviews away from the platform.

Signed up for VAT return services in France with Avalara. They have let me down massively and we have incurred huge penalties with the French VAT office.
I cannot stress enough do not use AVALARA - their reporting tool is poor. They offer no assistance - unless you pay for it by the hour. No basic information given like dates and penalties if submissions not placed on time. Actaully causing me major issues in my job.

I had an issue with a European VAT…
I had an issue with a European VAT authority and it seemed pretty much impossible to ressolve as we were just not getting anywhere and going around in circles. Then Adrienn stepped in and through persistence and determination has finally mangaged to get the matter resolved for me. I cannot thank you enough.

Avalara were supposed to submit our…
Avalara were supposed to submit our annual German VAT report by the 8th April, we gave all the information in February but nobody did anything until early April, we chased many times and eventually got told the return was with their partner company in Germany and we should chase it ourselves! It is now the 12th April and the return hasn't been submitted and Avalara have stopped replying to our messages and don't answer the phone.
