What a great experience! It started All with the warm welcome from the girl at the reception who answered All our questions in detail friendly and call. The car was perfect as well as also the returning of the car at night.

Car did not have sat nav that worked which made our whole holiday difficult to travel!

The service at the Autovia Naples Airport office was quite OK but the car (VW Golf 2.0 TDI) we got had serious deficiencies.
1. We could not use the navigation function because the factory made "privacy settings" should have been modified. The Autovia personnel at the rental car parking said there is nothing they could do about it because the car was almost brand-new. No-navigation resulted in serious troubles during our 10 day trip in Calabria and Basilicata.
The office personnel should have mentioned this flaw and offered another car.
2. The inner side of the windshield was covered with a dust film. The film created dangerous reflections againts the sun. Most unpleasant and dangerous phenomenon especially in the mountain roads.

I found it easy and trouble free on vehicle pickup, with very helpful staff members that answered all my questions,
Dropping car back was even easier with no hassle

I pickup the car in Napoli Airport and return in Rome Airport. Both staff was friendly and professional. I have to suggestion: 1. To put on the back windshield the sitcker with "I AM TURIST", because the most of italian drivers are hurry and honking :)
2. In the summer season, will be great if you can put one bottle(even small) of water. Most of times we out from the airport, pickup the car and drive away to the place we have the business meeting. For me it will be better to see the PP bottle of water and take two sips of water than to have %? additional discount.

Thank you for your response to my review.

While your one-hour policy is understandable under normal circumstances, it is not reasonable when the instructions we received clearly directed us to go to your parking facility—not the office.

Furthermore, our experience with your female staff member was deeply disappointing. She was unhelpful, dismissive, and clearly implied that our explanation was not truthful. This attitude is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your customer service.

We hope you will take our feedback seriously and address this issue accordingly.

Worst experience

We landed on time, had trouble finding the rental place and therefor walked to the rental parking lot (with 2 kids and a suitcase).
Spent time trying to find the office and was send back. 1 hour and 20 minutes after the flight landed on the ground we stood in queue for the office.

Waited nearly 30 minutes before it was our turn.

As we hadn’t arrived within an hour from the flight “landed” - we were charged additional 26 EUR a day. They didn’t have our car (but the car was paid).

The person behind the desk just questioned our story. We are mad and disappointed. Bad customer experience!!
Never ever going to use the firm again

We paid full insurance (56euro) already when reserving a car online via rentalcars. When we arrived at autovia Napels they told us the insurance paid was good for nearly nothing and they asked us to pay an extra 180 euro to cover insurance for potential damages. They told us to 'recover' the 56 euro from rentalcars.com. good luck on that.. pure scam

Terrible experience. Rented a car in Napoli. It broke down. Staff appeared friendly but have since been bombarding me with bills for the remorque truck and for their car that broke down. They took some money from my card before I managed to block it (without any explanation), and never responded to any emails on substance, just reiterated the amount they are claiming. Total scam. Crooks. Stay away at all costs.

Very nice treatment and explanation of the contract conditions. It was very easy process since I have bought full car daily insurance additional.

Great experience with Autovia in Naples. They recommended the extra insurance & I am thankful I decided to take it on top of the Booking.com insurance. Our rear window was broken during the New Year's street celebrations & the support was very responsive (phone or via Whatsapp). They recommended the next steps & changed the car with no qustions asked the next day. They also upgraded our first car within the insurance price and included the child seat. Great experience and would recommend.

bad communication, aggresive workers. we rent a car on 16.09 and had already insurance via broker. they told us that they dont see our insurance in system and we have to have from them a new one. due to their insistent behaviour, we had to accept and they sold us extra insurance 180 euro and said that they will pay back 100 euro after we bring car back. we dropped the car off on 21.09 and since then, no back payment, no answers to my emails or phone calls. even there, the lady got angry and was telling his colleague in italian language so many things we didnt understand, she was complaining. so please be aware of this company. the airport office in Naples is so bad! in Bari, they were nicer. i want my money back but they dont response to emails nor phone calls

They would not accept my card and put me in a position where I had to purchase their over priced insurance in order to take the car. The insurance was more expensive than the rental fee. I had more than adequate insurance both by travel insurance and rental insurance by another company at a fraction of the cost. I would have been having to pay a bond, but that wasn't good enough for these thieves. It's a scam to get more money from you. Avoid at all cost they are vultures.

Ecovia office ln Napoli are a Fraud.
Ecovia claimed they did not receive the voucher and requested 700% more money.

We had to choose another rental office and lost three hours +reservation money.

I had a reservation for august 13th at 11:30. But our plane was cancelled so I had to make a new flight booking the day before and would land nealy 2 hours later than planned. I called Autovia the day before to inform them about the delay. I talked to a girl that told me, that she would write a note about it. She told me to call again if I was further delayed.
And actually our flight was almost an hour delayed and I tried to call as soon as I landed, but the phone wasn't answered (I tried several times).
When I arrived I was told that I was late and my car was no longer available and I had to pay 72 euro extra because the only available car was more expensive!!! Their regulations said to only hold a car for 59 minuttes :( Even though I actually paid for the car in advance :(

Furthermore the salesman asked where we were going. We told him we were going to amalfi coast and he convinced us that we most certainly would risk damaging the tires or the front of the car. Therefore he offered us an insurance to 142€ (but then he would cancel the 72€ upgrade-price). Being afraid to get a giant extra bill for damages we accepted this. But we were so bitter and angry and and swore that we would never use Autovia again!
