Highly recommended. The chair came on time, well packaged. Was easy to assemble with a power allen wrench. Piece is very comfortable, well built and feels solid as can be.
The installation instructions are extremely poor and unclear. I later found the official installation video on YouTube, and noticed that people were already pointing out the same issues in the comments over a year ago. The company has repeatedly replied that they would improve it, but nothing has changed.
On top of that, the motor cable is not long enough, which makes proper installation unnecessarily difficult and feels like a basic design flaw. This is clearly not a one-off issue, but a known problem that has been ignored for a long time.
Customer service has also been very disappointing. It is difficult to get any response, and when you do, it doesn’t lead to any real solution.
Overall, this feels like a product with unresolved, long-standing issues and no real commitment to improvement. I would not recommend this desk unless the company seriously updates its instructions, hardware design, and customer support.
Autonomous has a misleading warranty: it clearly states a 10-year warranty on its product pages, but that only applies to mechanical and metal parts. Tabletops are under a different warranty structure, with no clarification on the product page. There is no asterisk or a "see terms" link, etc. Likewise, customer service routinely asks for additional pictures, video, and other backup, only to state the purchase was outside the warranty window (something they knew before wasting your time with the additional requests). Generally, I'm understanding of terms like this for products, but only when they are clearly displayed or called out on product pages, like the asterisk above or a link to additional warranty information. It's unfortunately misleading about how great Autonomous products are, and the lack of prompt, understanding customer service only further hinders customers from feeling valued and taken care of.

Recently had a great experience with Alice, my customer experience adviser, who kindly helped me resolve a part replacement case for my SmartDesk. From diagnosing the issue, identifying the right replacement part, to helping me with stock checking and ordering, Alice has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful, more importantly, my beloved desk is functioning as usual again!

Hugely satisfied to be able to buy a replacement part for a chair of yours. Limiting my waste is a huge priority for me, so knowing this company supplies replacement parts (even for their older models) dramatically increases the possibility of me buying from here again.
I experienced a delay with my desk order and reached out to autonomous support. Ashley was extremely helpful and worked to get my order moved to a new distribution location so that my time to receive the desk was as short as possible. Rare to find that level of support and help.
