Today was my first experience of the guys at Cardiff Automotive and it turned out to be a very positive one. The service I received was top-notch, being both efficient and courteously delivered. It was also reasonably priced. My car had an AC issue that was tackled in precisely the right way. I’d been looking for an alternative place to take my 2016 Tesla Model S and it looks like I’ve found it. Special thanks to James for patiently explaining exactly what they did and why.

Another 100% satisfied visit to the chaps at Automotive Cardiff. This time to take advantage of their smoke testing for boost and vacuum leaks (happily, no leaks) along with live logging and accompanying detailed report. On collection of my car towards the end of the working day, I happened to mention to James that my air con had stopped working. He diagnosed the system had no gas. I was happy to book in again for later in the week when Andrew asked if I was in a rush. If not, he’d be willing to do the AC service/regass whilst I was already there. Superb!

AC now regassed, when an intermittent issue I’d noticed over the weekend linked to the AC decided to raise its head. Andrew noticed this straight away when stood next to the car. Long story short, he stayed on at the end of the day and with good old fashioned mechanical sleuthing, a loose fuse in the fuse box on top of the battery was found to be the culprit!

I drove in to Automotive Cardiff with non-functioning AC putting out 16 degrees C and drove out with a fridge like reading of 6.5 degrees C 🥶 Not bad for a rusty 21yr old VW with over 130,000 on the clock!

What I like about James and the gang, they care about cars and are ‘car guys’. Automotive Cardiff are trusted to look after some fine exotica (Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, etc), but they’re still enthusiastic about working on a trusty olde workhorse and go out of their way to turn the car around.

Last year we took our Mercedes and Jeep to automotive as a random choice after very poor service at our previous garage.
What a difference and what a lucky choice! The team at Automotive are very friendly, very honest and will put themselves out to help when the cars need attention.

Great communication and upfront, I've tried many places before and never felt I could trust them, however James and team I 1000% trust them because they do what they promise and deliver.... Could pricing compared to main dealer... I've found the right garage to look after my Maserati and won't go anywhere else
