Buying process and warranty - Great with Autohero
The company fulfilled all my expectations to buy a car. I got a vehicle at the end of 2024 and the car has fulfilled my expectations since one year, the process was very transparent, there were some unclarities after performing the buying process and they cleared everything. The warranty is honored completely by them and I am thankful for all their support. I cannot recommend enough to enjoy the benefits of Autohero. I am by no means affiliated to them but I really value the effort they are making to take care of the customers and make sure the satisfaction is preserved during the whole buying process. I got the two year warranty and I fortunately have not used it, but if I would have had to, I am pretty sure they would have helped me very diligently.

Be careful
I found a great looking car and decided to buy it with AutoHero. The website is impressive and it looks like everything should be in order. It took a couple of weeks to finally get the car. Once I had it though, I brought it to a mechanic and he told me that the brakes need to be replaced soon, as do the front axkle knuckles. The car I bought is an Audi A4 2018, and it was a high price, so I would expect for them to at least make sure I don't have to do any major work on the car the moment I buy it.
I tried contacting customer support about it, one called and I asked to speak to someone who speaks English given the situation so he said no problem and that they would call me back. They never did. And then I tried sending another email but no response.
In summary, the moment they have your money you can get lost because you're of no importance to them.

Very Poor Service – No Response After Filing Complaint
I’m very disappointed with Auto Hero’s service. I filed a complaint over a week ago regarding a car that has a mechanical issue, but no one has contacted me since. The status still shows “in progress,” and I’m worried that my 21-day free return period will expire before anything is resolved.
I’ve tried reaching out multiple times, but Auto Hero continues to ignore my request. This is not the level of service I expected. The lack of communication and follow-up is unacceptable. I’m still waiting for someone to take responsibility and help me resolve this issue.

It's a joke. When I'm buying car everybody can speak english, when I have problem, then I have to write e-mail and wait 2 days, for response, which is not satisfying, so I have to write e-mail again and wait another 2 days, and time pass by, so I have to return car, because there is end of 21-days guarantee. I cannot call them from my number, because it's not german number, so I have to borrow phone from my friend, who have unwanted calls from them, even if they have MY NUMBER in system. 20km from dealer I had control lamp and there was problem with wheel. I wrote an e-mail and almost a week was with no response. When I call them from my freinds phone they say I have to write reclamation on their websait. Was it so hard to answear e-mail for a week with literally one information? "Go to our websait, write reclamation there''. I send them Kostenvoranschlag, and they answear was sending me the same e-mail word-in-word which they send me before. A guarantee that you won't have to go to a mechanic for 100 days - you have to go half hour after buying car, and have it here for 3 weeks, and problem with mechanic, because car can't stand there so long. They just play for time. I'll write later how car returning went, because apparently that is what I have to do.

Shady/Nontransparent after care
The after care customer service at autohero is below par. The guys who sell are absolute gems but as soon as you decided to keep the vehicle they stop responding with that passion they had at the time of selling. My car had a broken hydraulic system of clutch and I lodged the complaint on 5 October and it is 16 today and I don’t know when would I get it back. Nor autohero neither the ATU workshop is transparent in this regard. They respond to emails very late or just don’t respond at all. The claim that they approve the repair estimate in 48 hours is bogus. I have no information from autohero or the workshop that the repair estimate from them was approved or not. It is really shaddy and frustrating. No email, no status update on the reklamations ubersicht page etc. I wouldn’t recommend buying from them and should have considered reddit reviews.

Untrustable check-ups
When I first bought the car, there was a noise coming from the back of the car, but I didn't have a chance to examine it, I thought the noise was coming from the trunk. When I couldn't find anything in the trunk that would make a noise, I asked Autohero about my complaint. They said they needed an independent service report. When I found an independent service, they said that the noise was coming from the connecting rods and needed to be replaced. I was shocked, how could the Autohero checkup team not see such a simple and dangerous mistake? When I submitted my complaint with evidence, they said that this part was out of warranty and they did not resolve my issue. I do not intend to buy a car from Autohero again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
