I recently bought a Les Paul Heritage from Austin Guitars and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Reg was helpful, honest and genuine throughout, and it was a real pleasure dealing with both him and his son.

You can tell immediately that Reg is genuinely passionate about guitars and cares about the instruments he sells, not just making a sale. The guitar was exactly as described and the whole process felt relaxed, trustworthy and professional.

Austin Guitars is a great business with an excellent selection of instruments. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a guitar and I’ll definitely be back in the future.

Great service

Bought direct from austin guitars after seeing the guitar on another site. Asked them to hold onto it for a couple of days as I was away and wanted it delivered when I was back. They were really quick in responding to my email, posted it exactly when they said they would a few days later. It arrived exactly as described, in perfect condition. Looks like they gave it a really good clean too. Came with all the bits of paperwork even though it was second hand.

I bought a Fender Bassbreaker 45 amp and head. This was a very reasonably priced used amp but I had to import it into Ireland from the UK where Austin Guitars are based. This can be a headache for some as it’s a complicated task which involves couriers and the correct paperwork. Everything went exceptionally smooth thanks to Reg who went out of his way more than once to securely package the two pieces, fill out the paperwork and hand them over to FedEx. The amp is now in my home and not only does it sound great but it’s exactly as described on the shop website. I’m very happy and I have no problem recommending Austin Guitars to any amateur, professional or just a hobby musician, for what you’ll find there is great and very friendly service. So get on down to Austin in Kirkby, Liverpool, browse, play and buy with confidence!

Really welcoming when I took my daughter in to pick her first grown up guitar. Asked about budget but never felt like we were pushed in to a sale. After coming away with lots to think about my daughter chose the one she wanted and then when we had purchased it they opened up specifically so she could go and pick it up after school on a day they are normally closed. 5*s for going above and beyond

Two years since my last review. Austin Guitars remains the best guitar shop in the UK. From peerless customer service, super friendly and knowledgeable to the amazing range of stock and prices. No guitarist or bass player need look elsewhere.

Very friendly shop , even replied out of hours which I wasn’t expecting such a fast response.The guitar probably isn’t made any more and the price was spot on so I had to be quick. and the shop made it possible.Very well packed , excellent condition as the advert shows and very reasonable postage costs , free if over £200 .if I’m ever in Liverpool I’ll defo call in .Nice on lads 👍🎸🎸🎸

Just revisited Austin guitars to purchase an electric guitar for my daughter as we were so pleased with the service on her last purchase a couple of years back once again I cannot fault the time they give you nothing is a problem to them I think she tried every guitar in the shop anyway I met paul for the first time and the guy who does the repairs sorry I didn’t get his name but he was really helpful aswell.keep doing what your doing boys brilliant experience. What a little gem of a place. Been going there for about a year now and it’s now become my ‘go to’ guitar store. I’ve had nothing but good experiences there, mainly due to Reg and Paul. So helpful and knowledgeable about their stuff. Pete the ‘techie’ is on hand if you’ve got a problem from string changing to full setup’s.

Austin Guitars is a the perfect place for a guitar enthusiast. A warm welcome, knowledgable and honest advice, no pressure at all. I have purchased both online and in person now, and each time has been without any flaws. Simple discussions around trade-in and a fantastic price arrived at today.
Plenty of parking available at the back of the barn too. Thanks to them again and I will certainly be back!

Not my first time using Austin Guitars or even my first review but honestly still the best place to go for guitar stuff I actually bought one this time instead of just string changes or set up an made up with it no rubbish sell or anything just genuine good honest lads who guide you right direction an to the right gear for you. Don't hesitate to go just go or even from a far am sure Reg an Paul could sort you out I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else.

Reg opened the shop at short notice for me as I had a small window of opportunity to come and view a used Baby Taylor. What a great guy and what a fantastic little shop he has here. Spent a very enjoyable hour trying the guitar and just chatting. Will be recommending Austin to anyone I hear is after a guitar. Reg has got it spot on here without a doubt.
