I joined Augment Jobs as a professional resume writer, expecting a legitimate contract opportunity. Instead, I was met with deliberate exploitation. I completed several resumes for their clients—a lot of which remain completely unpaid. After delivering every assignment on time and maintaining consistent quality, I was met with silence.

No response. No payment. No professional courtesy.

Despite multiple follow-ups, Augment Jobs went completely unresponsive, mirroring what others here have reported. It’s now clear that this company, marketed as a "Career development platform," is part of a larger fraudulent operation—linked to Mobius Ventures, Parabolic Careers, Iron Key Capital, and allegedly run by Femi Palmer, who has been named repeatedly in reports of unpaid work, fake services, and deceptive hiring practices.

I joined in good faith. I delivered real work. I was deceived.

None of it is accurate.

After paying for the complete package, I received a resume with typos, clearly created by ChatGPT or some AI tool with no oversight. The supposed “automated” job application platform is just one person manually applying to a handful of jobs each day—maybe five, max. There are no metrics, no customization, and no follow-up. It’s amateur hour disguised as a premium service.

Slack Channel of Desperation

Inside the Slack channel, what’s going on becomes painfully clear. You’ll find hundreds of people, many of whom spent thousands, now stuck in limbo — asking questions that never get answered, begging for help, trying to make sense of the silence. It’s a graveyard of broken promises and false hope.

The “Job Offer” That Reveals the Truth

After expressing my concerns, I was offered a “job” at Mobius Ventures. I thought I was being recruited into a VC or finance firm. In reality, it was a commission-only sales position, pushing the same broken Augment Jobs services I had just paid for — essentially turning victims into recruiters for the scam. It was a pyramid model disguised as a career opportunity.

I confronted them once I realized what I was being asked to do. That’s when they ghosted me and removed me from all platforms. There was no explanation, no accountability, just gone.

A Pattern of Rebranding to Escape Bad Reviews

This isn’t a one-off. This is a deliberate, recurring scam. Femi Palmer uses a simple playbook:

You will see a handful of glowing 5-star reviews. Don’t be fooled. Those are fake. They follow a formula: vague praise, no details, and suspicious timing. It is likely posted by fake accounts or interns pressured into boosting the company’s image. They are designed to bury the negative reviews that reveal the truth.

If the service were legitimate, there wouldn’t be dozens of scathing reviews hidden beneath a wall of fluff from names you’ve never heard of.

They Exploit Freelancers Too

Femi’s scam isn’t limited to clients — he also exploits freelancers. He hires writers, VAs, and consultants from Upwork or similar platforms, assigns them vast volumes of work, and then ghosts them without paying a cent. In some cases, he even leaves negative feedback despite them delivering quality results. This is a pattern. It’s predatory.

Internally, he also promises new hires “equity” or future pay, only to string them along and dump them once they ask to be compensated. I watched it happen over and over.

This isn’t just unethical—it’s criminal. Femi Palmer is not a coach, consultant, or founder. He is a full-time scammer who monetizes broken dreams. I hope someone files a lawsuit, takes him to court, and ends this operation. He belongs in prison, not profiting from desperate job seekers trying to build a future.

I’ve been using Augment Jobs for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly been a major shift in how I approach job hunting. They took over the time-consuming parts, such as fixing up my LinkedIn, crafting custom resumes and cover letters, and getting my applications in front of the right recruiters. As someone who’s about to graduate and juggling a lot, that kind of support has been huge. I finally feel like I have momentum in my career. Augment’s been a solid investment and has opened doors I didn’t think I’d have access to.

Prior to working with Augment jobs, I had difficulty getting a single interview. Now I get ten interviews a week, and in the spirit of the remote working boom, am now up to 10 jobs. Thanks to Augment, I will for the first time in my entire family history have generational wealth to pass down to my many children.

Started a couple of weeks ago. Overall seems pretty good, I submitted my resume and stuff with them and they reformatted my LinkedIn and have created tailored resumes and cover letters that look really good that are submitted to opportunities and recruiters that I am interested in, saves me a bunch of time especially since I'm graduating soon. I'm going to start talking with some mentors at BCG, so I'm looking forward to that. If something bad happens I'll update this review, but so far, pretty smooth. I did the career elite plan and it's been good to see all of the mentors I can talk to, I suck at mock cases, and my school doesn't have any support with that, so getting to practice interviewing stuff with consultants is good especially since I don't go to a T-20 school.

I was looking for an internship and they helped me out with a finance role based in New York. I ended up working in tech after graduating and they were supportive.

Little confused about all the hate here. I got a job in banking using their service. It was a relatively seamless process, but it still involves putting in effort on your end to stay consistent with using the program. The AI powered services are a game changer and really reduce your work load.

I've had the pleasure of being guided by Varun and it's been an extremely fruitful experience. He gave me all the information necessary and walked me through each step. He provided me with necessary support that I couldn't find from other such or rather more well known industry firms. Helper me find a job and my experience was very professional

They scam people. I was on the guaranteed program and they ended up just lying to me and taking my money. They are horrible, do not fall for them

I myself interned at Augment jobs for 3 months and at the end of the internship they said we'll help you find jobs and it'll be no cost for me for their service and they just disappeared and didn't even off board me. They are totally fraud.

Terrible client support. took 2 weeks to be onboarded and then takes multiple days to hear back from anyone if you need help or clarification on anything. Their platform just scrapes 3 job boards (jooble, linkedin and monster) if you set alerts yourself you do it for free instead of $6K. Platform is also super clunky and not intuitive. Then when I went to cancel it took 10 days for anyone to respond. There is NO CANCEL FEATURE ON THE WEBSITE for you to do on your own. Do Not Buy This Service.

SCAM: Data Scrapping

Extremely sketchy - they post 1000s of posting on LinkedIn and use logos of companies they are not affiliated or partnered with. Do not share your resume or information with them.

Very poor service from slow to respond, technical difficulties, not transparent about fees, terms and conditions. CEO doesn't even know what is posted on their website for their terms of service. Service is misrepresented, it is essentially a data scraping service that aggregates job postings into one place. They are an additional middleman. No urgency or care for their clients, once you pay them they check off your box. They advertise 100% refundable on fees if service does not meet expectation, but do not practice this.
