This particular version of Aualé by Joan Sala is, without a doubt, the best Ayo/Awale/Aualé game I have played since discovering it. Compared with many other games in the same category, regardless of their difficulty level, this one offers a remarkably deeper and more structured learning experience.
What makes Joan Sala’s Aualé stand out is the way it incorporates advanced mathematical thinking, strategy, tactics, and progressively challenging levels—from beginner to supreme master. Each level presents different challenges and tactical approaches, allowing players to develop their skills according to their current ability. With consistent practice, the game genuinely encourages improvement, advancement, and a deeper understanding of the game.
In my opinion, this is one of the finest Ayo/Awale/Aualé games available, and I would find it difficult to imagine a future competitor surpassing the level of thought and expertise that has gone into this particular game.
Another aspect I greatly appreciate is that the app is periodically updated, showing a continued commitment to improving the player's experience. Even better, you can enjoy the game offline and completely ad-free, which makes the experience even more enjoyable and focused.

One feature I would genuinely love to see in the future
There is one major opportunity that I believe could take this already impressive game to another level: a dedicated, structured Aualé learning course.
Honestly, I believe the amount of mathematical thinking, strategic knowledge, tactical concepts, calculation, puzzle-solving, analysis, and expertise already contained within the game is valuable enough to support a premium course that players could purchase separately.
Rather than only playing against increasingly difficult opponents, I would love to see a complete learning system built around the knowledge behind the game—for example:
Structured lessons from beginner to advanced and expert level.
Step-by-step explanations of the mathematics and calculations behind important moves.
Tactical and strategic puzzles with detailed solutions.
Opening, mid-game, and end-game lessons.
Explanations of common mistakes and why certain moves fail.
Interactive positions where the player must calculate before seeing the answer.
Detailed explanations of why the AI chooses particular moves.
Progress tests and assessments to measure actual improvement.
A structured pathway from beginner through advanced player and eventually toward master-level understanding.
And I would strongly encourage making this learning system online and data-driven, while keeping the core game available for practical play. Player data, completed lessons, mistakes, game history, recurring tactical errors, analysis results, and performance patterns could potentially be used—while respecting privacy—to personalize the learning experience.
For example, if a player repeatedly makes the same type of calculation mistake, the system could identify that pattern and recommend specific lessons or puzzles designed to address it. That would transform the game from simply telling a player what move was better into actually teaching the player why it was better and how to recognize similar situations in the future.
I sincerely believe that such a course would deserve payment. The expertise, mathematical ideas, strategic principles, puzzle-solving concepts, and analytical techniques involved are not something that should necessarily be limited to a basic game experience. A properly structured premium course could turn the knowledge already embedded in Aualé into a genuine Aualé/Oware academy or masterclass.

In my opinion, that would make the learning process substantially more powerful and would give serious players a clear pathway toward mastery.
