Total disaster
Update September 2024:
Tickets reported to their helpdesk have remained unsolved for months. Only their associates change.
The Automotive Transformation Group framework, while overgrown, is non-functional with frequently edited sites of over 50-60 pages, which attempt to grow based on organic search results. Internal linking is a dead-end for the webmaster.
The ATG helpdesk deserves a paragraph of its own. I'd call them "ticket closers". Customer success, as they sign, I consider a joke. These people are masters of talking internally to the team, forwarding emails, not being able to recreate issues.
Automotive Transformation Group is a mess, a behemoth waiting to ruin your business.
Original post:
'Total disaster' is a gross understatement in the case of ATG. This is a framework for entry-level newbies and nobody else. With your basic command of HTML you'll be 100x more efficient than them. They lock you out of your own site's backend and frontend so that they can bill you for "nothing" updates, which you won't order by the way, buried under tons of bureaucratic emails from them.
Can you insert an image other than 4:3, and rarely 1:1, on your mobile site? No, you can't because they want so.
Forget about flex container, forget about positioning a div under an image (!), forget about an image under another image in a row. They locked you out of such advanced things of tomorrow. Can you embed a generic youtube iframe? No, not to mention a css snippet. They even don't allow you into HTML version of the content you are authoring. They don't let you insert a spacer, such as a HTML empty paragraph. It will be cut out (or not, randomly). Whenever you press Enter it's either p or br, pretty randomly.
Miracles happen when you re-edit an article from say 6 months ago. You risk damaging it, and remember: no access to your database.
If using ALT+char, in your native language, for special characters, be aware that their wysiwyg editor has delays, like in 1995. A good laptop on your side might not help.
Their business model is to incapacitate you and charge for everything.
All they effectively have done is obstructing my content and SEO efforts.
