Avoid at all costs
So here goes... on a friend's recommendation I recently wrote to AC and asked them to price and sell an item for me (in the interests of preserving my privacy I'd prefer not to say precisely which item it was as we have friends in common).
After some back and forth we agreed on a price and a commission split... or so I thought.... A few days after we agreed the price I saw that my item was being marketed on their website for significantly more than we had agreed but that my payout was based on the original much lower price. Since AC's commission rates are HIGH it means that they will be making more from selling my item than I do as the owner.
When I chased for an explanation I received no reply. I am still waiting for someone to get back to me but I just feel really let down by this experience.
