Mixed feelings
The elementary experience has been good for my one child while on the other hand the junior high child has not had a good experience . They started a new program for more advanced students, but average students and lower functioning students seem to get cattled together and left behind if they don't meet certain standards. It appears time for teaching is replaced with disciplining and standardized tests. When do they get actual time to experience learning besides the ton of homework they send home. I also remember being young and in junior high and having the opportunity to rotate classes, here you have the one teacher for all subjects all day. I sense teacher and student burnout from this.

Concerned Parent
There are many thing's that need more attention than some. I understand the dress code, but the policy is a little over the top. If there is a slight different color on the shoe, it should not be held against the child. Including the sock color. Who cares what color the kids socks are. As long as they're not offensive to anyone, what a child has on there feet should not be a big concern. The biggest concern should be the education, and making sure the kids are getting proper and appropriate work for that age group. Ex: If my son is in 4th grade, he should be doing 4th grade work. And the teachers should be teaching accordingly.
