Asolo boot resole service.

After 8 years service my Asolo fugitive boots needed a resole, so I sent my boots back to them in Italy to take advantage of their resole service. The total cost equated to about £130 including postage and taxes, my boots took about 10 weeks to arrive at their factory from the UK but this was mainly due to slow Italian customs! The return postage from Asolo back to me took 7 days. When I opened the box I thought Asolo had sent me a pair of new boots they were that good, I am very pleased with them and would thoroughly recommend their resole service.

Toe Box Collapse After Normal Use — No Warranty Support

I’ve been an Asolo fan for years, but my most recent pair developed a serious structural failure: the internal toe box collapsed after normal use, creating a hard raised ridge in the insole that made the boots painful and eventually unusable. After just under 2 years of regular use, they had to be shelved.

Asolo explained this as “heat exposure,” though the boots were never stored near heat at all - unless the heat from a human foot now counts. They did not acknowledge any manufacturing issue, and the repair they offered would have cost more than purchasing a new pair.

Even though my exact model may no longer be sold, this one is the closest current equivalent; I’m posting this so future buyers understand my experience with the brand’s durability and its lack of warranty accountability.

For the price point Asolo occupies, I expected far better support.

In the end, these boots simply weren’t made for walkin’ - and that’s just what they didn’t do.

Terrible after sales service

Terrible after sales service. If you want buy these boots and I recommend that you don’t, DO NOT BUY DIRECT FROM ASOLO. If you want to return them even if they are faulty, you have pay for the returns, over €40 and you will not be getting this back. Shocking service.

Not worth half the price

Not worth half the price. Cheaply made.

The limitations of warranty have 12-15 things listed that aren’t covered.

“ Examples of what are not covered by warranty, but are not limited to the following:”

The inner soles started pealing after 3 months of wearing.

I had a lace hook rip off. Of course lace hooks aren’t covered by the warranty.

I never had that happened with any other brands of shoes or boots. Inner soles pealing? Nike, adidas, new balance, timberland… never had that happened with any sneakers or boots.

I wouldn’t even buy at 50% off after this.

Early failure of Greenwood Evo GV boots and poor customer service

I've been wearing Asolo boots for about 15 years and generally been happy but I've had a problem with my latest boots, Asolo Greenwoods, which I've had for just under 3 years. The soles have started to detach from the midsoles - the uppers are in excellent condition and the tread on the soles have plenty of wear left - so failure of the soles in this way is disappointing. Although 3 years old and out of warranty, I'm still disappointed that they have failed after only 3 years. I've never had a pair of boots whose soles failed before the uppers and I've worn many of those for far longer. I've now tried contacting customer support 2x through their website to ask for a suggested remedy, hoping that might offer resoling at no cost or a reduced price. Failing that confirm that they can resole, albeit at their normal price. I haven't had any response, not even an acknowledgement of receipt of my query. This is even more disappointing than premature failure of the boots.
