POOR QUALITY/WARRANTY COMPANY SCAM

Quality has gone down severely in the last 10 years. Plastic inside couches & chairs bend. If you bought a recliner, after 6 months, the back bends off to one side. Ashley won’t fix it; they claim there isn’t anything wrong. If you buy the extended warranty as we did, PROTECTALL, you can’t claim extended warranty from their company due to “if you know about the problem for more than 30 days, they don’t cover the problem. So, Ashley furniture says, there isn’t a problem, and when your almost touching the floor because the plastic in the chair is bent so far back, the warranty company, PROTECTALL, say, “well, you knew about the problem for more than 30 days, so we’re not covering it. It’s quite the scam. PROTECTALL, has shown up 2 hours late to a 3 hour window, and when we complain, their reply is, “you weren’t home”. That’s because your worthless technicians called and told us they were going be late (past the time slot), and we still told these people we would wait, and they didn’t show up until an hour after the time they claimed they would be late. And we still told them, “don’t come, as we will no longer be home”. No response. The worst warranty company and worst furniture company even though I’ve always bought their furniture in the past. STAY AWAY, PLEASE LEARN FROM THIS POST OR YOU HAVE NOBODY TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF.

So I was supposed to be getting a couch…

So I was supposed to be getting a couch tomorrow, booked 18 days in advance, I was very excited since I currently have no couch at all...except I realized that the delivery guys were supposed to have called me, so I called them and guess what? They had no delivery scheduled for me. I contacted the Coquitlam location where I purchased it and was told the salesperson I'd bought it from would call me after her break. That did not happen, instead I got a text from a bot asking if I would now like to schedule my delivery? So I called again and finally got to talk to the salesperson I'd purchased from who said she'd look into it and get back to me. Then received a text asking about another date to schedule it. I said have a manager contact me. After talking with the manager I explained that I live in a high rise with a concierge desk and the elevator must be booked and paid for here in ADVANCE, and on top of that the concierge is only available until 4pm. So now I have to get up tomorrow morning just to explain this last second cancellation and hope that they have elevator availability for the new date. Now I have to hope I'm even allowed to use the elevator that day AND hope that the couch will actually come this time because apparently booking a delivery with Ashley doesn't actually mean anything. What was done to make up for this bs runaround and complete inconvenience? Absolutely nothing. 0 f's given. Do yourself a favour and just go to the brick or somewhere else where they actually know how to keep customers and stay in business. In this economy with places going under and locations closing every time you blink you'd think they would do better. I have a whole place to furnish but I can promise no further furniture will be coming from Ashley.

Can't get anything right

10 day delivery, that's normal. No handle to open the recliner, sent fed ex, 10 more days to get technical person here, still missing a part, beyond disgusted. Save your time and money.

Furniture they show on showroom floor…

Furniture they show on showroom floor or online is not representative of what you get. It's a roll of the dice. If you accept the furniture but realize less than 24 hours under daily time lighting that the color is orange and not brown they will not fully refund your order. You will pay a 40% restocking fee a non refundable $179 delivery fee plus a $50 pickup fee . They are scam artists. I'm out hundreds.

Loyalty Meant Nothing

I am writing about our unpleasant experience at Ashley this past Sunday, May 24, where we spent from 2:48 PM to 4:51 PM only to leave empty-handed, disappointed with the service, and standing in the middle of a heavy rainstorm.
We have been loyal customers for years, during which we have purchased two dining room sets, a four-piece bedroom set, two mattresses, an adjustable bed base, and a living room set. This is the first time we have ever received such terrible treatment.
The salesperson assisting us had no idea what he was doing. He told us our monthly payment would be around $200, but when the financing information came back, we were told it would actually be $644. When we asked why, the excuse was that the approval through Acima was for a 12-month term. We explained that the payment was far too high, outside of our budget, and that we no longer wanted it. However, the manager continued insisting.
We then decided to look at a more affordable option to see if it would fit within our budget. The salesperson returned with new numbers, saying there would not be much difference. He told us the payments would be around $94, but when the financing was presented, it came out to $244.
I do not know if Ashley is so desperate for money that they mislead customers in hopes that someone will eventually agree and they can take their money. It is truly disappointing that a store that was always our first choice treated us this way.
My issue the second time was not the monthly payment itself, but rather that once again the salesperson gave us one amount, only for the reality to be that the monthly payment was much higher.
Ashley is not the only furniture store that exists, nor the only place that sells mattresses. In fact, the very next day we went to Sleep Number, purchased the mattress we needed, and the entire process took no more than 45 minutes. On top of that, we received exceptional customer service.

I purchased a bedroom and dresser set…

I purchased a bedroom and dresser set for my mom. I called in the order over the phone on May 7th 2026. I asked the representative to have the set delivered and assembled since my mom is 79 years old and wouldn't be able to assemble the furniture herself. On the day of the delivery they processed the delivery as a drop off at the door. The delivery man saw my mom was elderly so he questioned the drop off. My mom told him the dresser and bed should have been assembled. Since the youngman knew that Ashley furniture always delivers incorrectly he called me to have them check the delivery service for a mistake. He than began to assemble the dresser & bed because he felt bad for my mom. However, when he opened the box the rails for the bed were broken. In the meantime I called and spoke to a Kristen who said she would put in a request to have them deliver and assemble on another day and refund me my delivery fee. So, the railings went back to a store in Corona, Ca since they were broken. Almost a week past and they were supposed to deliver on the following Saturday. However no one ever showed up to deliver & assemble. I called to ask what was happening with the delivery and the representative Alex said, they pushed the delivery into Tuesday. I asked if someone was going to notify her and he could only apologize and say, he didn't know what happened. Then they delivered on Tuesday and again, it was delivered without being assembled. So I called and spoke to Edward. He told me he would take care of the delivery and ensured me someone would be rescheduled to come out and assemble the bed. He said Kristen would contact me to follow up on the refund for the shipment. After three our four days, there was still no assembly of the bed and no refund. I called again and Drake with "Corporate" assured me things would be taken care of and Kristen would follow up with me on the refund So I wait another day or two, and I received no phone call from Kristen. I called again and the last representative tells me they closed the case and issued a refund of 110 for the shipment. They said no one would be coming out to assemble my mom's bedset. They left the head board and foot board sitting on her bedroom floor & the railings in a box in her hallway. At the end of it all, I received no refund and no assembly of the bed for my mom. If I had the energy I would take back their flimsy furniture and get a refund. When I asked where is Ashley's Corporate located the guy said, not in the United States. It explains why the furniture is made so flimsy & why I never received a refund. DONT BUY ANYTHING from ASHLEY'S Furniture!!! Boycott their stores. Terrible furniture and not worth the price nor the terrible service!

Well we went into Ashley to buy a table. The table we wanted we thought was to big, we'll it wasn't so instead of buying it online we went into the store so the associate can get the commission.
Well anyways my table was delivered without all the hardware.
I was promised the next 1st appointment. Well they showed once again without the brackets.
We were told someone would bring them by 12, no one showed. We got the run around & still no one showed. They are closed Sunday & Monday so that means I have to go with the table on my kitchen floor.
I will be returning the table & going somewhere else

Dishonest company, horrible customer service

I have never been treated with such low regard by a business in my life.
After spending close to $15,000. at Ashley, all items purchased were not included in the so called “white glove” delivery.
After contacting the store in person, we were assured we would be taken care of. It has now been over one month and I still have not been compensated for the items we did not receive.
Store personnel keep blaming the so called customer service department, in the mean time we are out $900.
This is a bait and switch company who does not follow through with their promises, or care about their customers. Why should they? They have our money now.
I truly regret doing business with these people and will tell everyone I know to steer clear of this dishonest scamming company.
If you don’t like being lied to and dealing with bots instead of a human customer service agents, I highly recommend you shop for furniture elsewhere.

Impressive first experience

This was our first time at an Ashley store and my husband and I had a great experience dealing with Stephen M at the Chicopee location. No pressure, plenty of alone time to browse the store and immediate answers to questions. We ordered a 5 piece bedroom set on Wednesday afternoon and it was delivered and set up on Friday afternoon. Delivery communication was impressive and set-up, inspection and clean up were done very quickly. We love our new furniture and it looks high end!

Potential buyer BEWARE of this scam of…

Potential buyer BEWARE of this scam of a company. They sell cheap products and refuse to make it right by the customer. We bought a bed from them that has sunken in. Under warranty, we reached out to them and they sent someone to fix it. However, the person said they could not fix it and they no longer carried this model of bed. Ashley’s gave us a purchase credit of $800 (not even close to what we paid for the bed) and refused to allow us to apply it to what is still owed on the bed. Essentially, they sold us a faulty product and to fix it they told us to use the purchase credit towards the purchase of a new bed. So get in more debt with them and potentially get another faulty product. It’s a horrible business. I will never ever purchase from them again and will tell everyone I know.

I had to wrap both pieces in large plastic bags & threw it in the garage… stay away from Ashley Furniture Stores

White glove service did the job but Ashley furniture told me I should have known there would be holes if I looked at the installation instructions

White glove service did the installation of a mattress and bed frame on 4/4/2026. Two very visible holes are on the footboard. Ashley told me the manufacturer builds this way to accommodate different designs. So some people want no storage drawers and some do. Depending upon what you choose, there may be holes. No one tells you this. I would not have purchased this item if I knew the footboard would have visible holes. Sent twice tiny white caps that do not match the decorative hardware on the bed. Multiple calls, two technicians later issue is not resolved. I suggested hardware that is on the bed could be provided and made into a faux screw again to cover holes and match existing hardware. I was told today by a representative that I told them I had the hardware. This is a blatant falsehood. I have reported this to the BBB. It’s truly a shame that a company can operate in this manner and treat customers so poorly. I will never buy from them again. If you do, be sure to ask if there will be visible holes on the finished product. A disgrace.

I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Ashley Furniture and their warranty/customer service process.

I have been a long-time Ashley customer, which is why this situation has been especially upsetting. I’ve trusted this company for years and have invested a lot of money into both furniture and warranty protection plans believing that Ashley would stand behind their products and take care of their customers when issues arise.

During my recent interaction, it was very obvious to everyone in the store how frustrated and upset I was. Staff and management attempted to calm the situation by giving me hope that the issue would be resolved, but unfortunately those promises led to false expectations and no real resolution.

Instead of feeling valued as a loyal customer, I left feeling dismissed, frustrated, and emotionally drained. The entire experience has completely changed how I view this company, and honestly, I no longer feel comfortable making future purchases from Ashley Furniture.

Customers purchase warranties for peace of mind, not added stress and disappointment. I truly hope Ashley improves the way they handle customer concerns and warranty claims moving forward.

WARNING DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE FROM THIS STORE! They delivered the wrong chairs. They would not exchange the chairs I wanted. The recliner's chair squeaks when I rock it. There is very little padding on the arms. The chairs are wobbly. I am very disappointed that the customer service was so poor. They didn't care that I was not happy that they delivered the wrong recliners.

I would NEVER purchase anything from…

I would NEVER purchase anything from Ashley Furniture Churchville again. I paid cash for 2 dressers, nightstand and 2 recliners that I expected to be like the one my daughter tried out in the store. Well everything was great when they delivered everything. Well after 4 days the recliners looked as they we're defected or fake not nothing like I chose in the store. We were told that we had 14 days to return. So, went back to the Churchville Store to be told we only had 72 hrs . All I wanted was to return the recliners and get 2 more to replace these.

I lost my husband in February and then lost my complete bedroom set due to the mold we found when we had to move things to have the new carpet put in my apartment.

All I wanted was nice furniture and because Ashley wouldn't do anything I'm now stuck with fake recliners that are made of cardboard and filling.
