Do not buy based in China not the UK…
Do not buy based in China not the UK they would not refund and then stopped any communication with me. Terrible quality total rubbish company and products.
Sounds the same as everyone else…
Sounds the same as everyone else -ordered 2 items requested return of one item and was told it was costly and they would refund 25% of the cost - plenty of polite e mails to and fro from "Emily"but once it relates to where is my refund - zero communication !! This was in December - now February
AVOID
Do not buy off this company. As a lot of other reviews state boots nothing like the picture, requested a refund and even after many emails didn’t receive it.
Jacket nothing like how it was advertised
Well the jacket that I received was nothing like it was advertised in the picture. Very disappointing as I have been searching for a cool biker jacket for ages. It looked on Facebook like a puffer type jacket- there was no ‘puff’ at all and cheap n nasty zips. To add insult to wound I was promised a refund by ‘Emily’ which never arrived. I’m sure this has been reported to Facebook as it’s necessary.
I will NOT recommend this company and…
I will NOT recommend this company and will certainly not purchase anything again. I had an email stating I would receive a refund, I received nothing. They then ignored any emails I sent.
Clothing is poor quality.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Save your hard earned cash. I fell hook line and sinker for the fake family, Oxford-based business tale. Rubbish quality jacket. 30-day money back guarantee a total lie. Bot “Emily” offered 15-50% refund and to keep jacket, increasing each time I refused an offer which went on for 2 months. Reported to UKCIC and my bank, who refunded me in full via a charge back claim. Website now seems to be down and company no longer on FB, so hopefully that is an end to Ashford Clarke from China / Amsterdam.
purchased two jumpers from Ashford…
purchased two jumpers from Ashford Clarke One was never delivered, and the other was not at all like the pictures; it was made of flimsy material that pilled after just one wash. I attempted to use their website to request a refund but received no response. There was silence, no address, no phone number. Time and money wasted.
Do not buy from this company
Back in September I purchased some boots from this company. One star is far too much. I contacted the company seven times to report that they were nothing like the picture they smelt. They were too small and poor material. I’ve got an email back saying that I could have something else from the store I asked for a refund and could I return the items? They told me they were based in the Netherlands and it would cost me £20 to send the item back. I still wanted to return the item they refuse to give me the address. I asked for a refund and they offered me 30% and I could keep the item. I said no this went on for over 10 more emails. I asked over and over again for the address. By the start of December I contacted my bank. And I have investigated the company they sent me back the money but today this company has turned round and said that they object to my claims. Please avoid this company. You will not get a refund even through my bank. They are fighting for me to get my refund. It is a fake business.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam. Very cheap shoes, had to send them back to the Netherlands - not London, as their website suggested. I paid for insurance and international posting as they demanded and two months on, they haven't refunded my shoddy purchase nor answered any of my many emails. Crooks.
Scam company- beware!
Scam company- beware!
I purchased what I was told would be a high quality jacket from a uk company based in Oxford. It took weeks and weeks to arrive, from china! Then when it did come it was not like the picture, was poor quality and not even lined. I tried getting a refund, which also took them ages to reply, but they wouldn’t give me 100% refund. The most I got offered was 50% which I’m still waiting for.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
BOGUS COMPANY
The items sent were incorrect colours to those ordered. The company take weeks to respond to any email.. exactly as described in previous messages. So far "Emily" in customer services (!) has illegally refused to refund or advise address for goods to be returned as described on their site. I will be seeking legal advice & suggest NO_ONE purchases through them.
Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid this company at all costs. The clothing is cheap quality. After offering a return address initially they refused to provide one and I’m still waiting for my refund. Complete scam of a company.
They don’t deserve 1 star
They don’t deserve 1 star. Please save your money. Received mine absolute joke, came from China are plastic and covered in glue. How these companies get away with ripping people off like this is beyond belief. They won’t refund. I have now raised a dispute with my bank in hope that they will refund
Fraudulent site/company
This company is a complete scam. The website suggests that they are based in Oxford/Oxfordshire and the image shows a very English countryside. They claim to sell high ended clothing but in fact what you get is cheap, Chinese tat that looks nothing like the image you see. Impossible to return items as they won’t give a return address. They offered a refund but four months down the line we are still waiting. The emails coming in from Emily are fraudulent as Emily doesn’t seem to exist and is a chatbot. Farcebook should be made to take this site down. Avoid at all costs.
DO NOT BUT FROM COMPANY or anywhere…
DO NOT BUT FROM COMPANY or anywhere that uses pictures where the coat & cardigan aren't shown closed, I've seen many variations of the same thing. They will not allow return or refund you as promised. They will argue for you to keep the items & 30% refund, eventually 50%. You will receive no refund & the communication replies take weeks. The items aren't as shown.
Received a pop-up adverton Facebookand…
I-Received a pop-up advert on Facebook and liked the look of a long sleeve polo shirt which I ordered. After I entered my credit card details and the order was accepted a pop-up message appeared offering a discount of£5.95. I clicked the message expecting to find details of the offer but instead a second item identical to my original order was automatically added to my order without an option to accept or reject the order amendment. I immediately emailed Ashford and Clarke requesting the second item be deleted and for them to send a full refund to my credit card which took several weeks to complete.after exchanges of many emails.
When the polo shirt eventually arrived I was absolutely shocked by the quality - shabbily put together from 100% polyester and not cotton mix, as advertised. I wouldn’t be seen dead in it. I asked for a full refund and, again after the exchange of many emails and a threat to take them to the Small Claims Court I was offered a 40% refund which was ultimately increased to 50% as a “good will gesture”to avoid paying the cost of £15-£25 ro return the item to a returns warehouse in The Netherlands.
I reluctantly accepted this and offered to dispose of this offensive garment myself. Needless to say I am still waiting to receive the refund after several weeks.
I’m not holding my breath!
MORAL OF THIS SQTORY Never order on line from a company you don’t know without first checking them out on Trustpilot.
Spineless Scammers
Completely unethical company. The product quality is shockingly poor, the delivery took far longer than stated, and now they are refusing to provide proper return instructions. Instead, they keep trying to pressure me into keeping the items for a 15% discount — which I do not want. They claim it will cost £25 to return, and after two months I am still fighting for a refund.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS — utterly dishonest and spineless scammers.
Ashford & Clark
I ordered a classic leather jacket size 2XL. What I got was a plastic jacket size L. When I complained they offered me a 20% refund and I could keep the plastic jacket. I refused and demanded a full refund , been ignored ever since. This company is a complete scam, do not place any orders with them. Fortunately I made my purchase with a credit card and got a full refund very quickly so I think this company is already on a black list with credit card companies. The plastic jacket has gone to the local charity shop where I expect it will be for a very long time.
Terrible
Terrible. Cheap goods you can’t return and won’t be refunded for. Please look else where to buy.
I’ve given one star but seriously that’s bugging them up. If there was an option for negative starts …
No refund for incorrectly sized jacket - scam returns process
Ordered a jacket which turned up after considerable delay and turned out to be completely undersized. Tried to return it only for the company to offer 20% and keep the jacket. I think give reason for return was their fault they should offer 100%. Still arguing with them weeks in.
I personally think this is a from for Chinese seller since the website disagrees with the Linkedin info.
Lesson never order off Linkedin.
